Virtue Notes

 I. Introduction

Virtue is supposedly something that we need to have. It can be intrinsic, a social condition or an intentional development of a person.

What makes a virtue desirable is the appeal to good reason and good behavior. However, developing one's virtue is a challenge of self-reflection, acceptance of feedback and a need to change and survive.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
The last time someone admired my virtue was when in my junior high school days. As I was on my way home from school along the road, I saw a credit card and other receipt paper along with it. The first thing I did, thinking I should find out who owned the credit card and was there an address along with the receipts. Gladly, I saw the name with his address detail and, it is near our subdivision. So, in the afternoon, we went to his house and asked whether the credit card was his and, yes, it was him. I gave him the important thing for it holds all his money savings or that supports his family. After making that kind of decision, I feel so good and, it’s like I am flying in the clouds. That is the best reward feeling I have, it doesn't have to be material thingy, but it makes me happy to do kind things even in strangers. I think generosity is the specific virtue that was observed for I return something essential to a person rather than stealing away from him and enjoying the things that don't belong to me. And the lesson I take is that if we are truly human, there is this called conscience for us to avoid doing bad things just for personal interest.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
I think that virtue is already in me, it is just that I do not know whether it does affect making decisions and being responsible for my actions. But to make sure it becomes part of me, I practice it whenever I am in a situation to act morally. Because sometimes, we forget the things to consider, and we do something we never expect out of impulse since we don’t control our feeling anymore. It takes a lot of effort to make things right and maintain what is good to always keep on track. So, putting an effort will be a help in working on virtue. Thus, you need someone to react or respond to your actions if something needs to be improved, removed, or developed characteristics that will be both accepted and appropriate with people surrounding you. It could be friends or members in the family of what kind of view they can see in us. It is like either it gives pleasure principle or can be accepted in society. It will also guide us to every choice we make and if we’re still on the road with the light at the end. Finally, give time to reflect on ourselves, it may be when we want some fresh air, alone and enjoying the view of nature. It helps a lot to think deeply to make realizations in life.

    1. Being empathetic is a virtue that they appreciate in me since I always think and act on things or events holistically. I do not jump into positions right away because there's always another part of the story to tell and listen to.Everyone can be against each other, but I don't want to be one of them. Instead, I want to be fair and concerned about everyone's suffering. Even though life can be unfair, I want to spend my life in such a way that I can succeed while also helping others with their worst. If I cannot see something with my naked sight, I always attempt to look into their hearts instead, because no matter how hard we try, we cannot lie to our hearts.

    2. For me, the first step is to admit that I have put in insufficient effort in that area of virtue, because the only way to improve it is to learn what it is lacking. If I have enough time and guts to act with such virtue, I will do so as often as possible in my daily life. With this approach, I will improve my virtue gradually so that it comes naturally in the end.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Just today, one of my classmates made a comment on how my friend and I are mostly the first people to submit an assignment and/or activities in our subjects. I was glad that she was able to observe my and my friend’s punctuality since it is a big part of our character as a student. I have always valued my time and others. If there is a time to use to finish a certain activity, I would definitely use it. I have learned this since junior year in high school, where group activities were abundant throughout the school year. As the never-dying quote says, “Time is gold,” being punctual is my way of respecting the time that my teachers and classmates have given me and, in turn, the same thing that I expect of them. This virtue is especially important for me to pursue since it helped me on my time and self-management which are the things that can be found on must-have-kits in school and on the real world.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

In a Christian setting, the phrase, “What would Jesus do?” is very prevalent among its’ members. It is used to remind everyone to follow the teachings and values of Jesus and do what He would do in a given situation. In doing so, the members would live a life with less sins. I would incorporate this phrase into, “What would the better version of me do?” This phrase would remind me not to follow my typical responses but rather think about how a more patient, more kind, or more courageous version of me would. If we will ask this phrase often, it will become part of our self – a habit. Who knows that in continuously do this method that we could become that better version of ourselves. We will become what we want ourselves to be; more patient, more kind, or courageous.

    1. When the last time was someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - To be honest I don't think if someone admires my virtue but whenever I interact with other people I always show my kindness because It allows me to connect with other people just to build a meaningful relationship and I'm so grateful for that. Besides whenever I show kindness to other people I also feel proud of myself for being a good person. I want to apply it not only to myself but also to other people because I'm the kind of person who always looks for the positivity and good vibes and I think showing Kindness to other individuals is just a basic human act so we should practice to act morally. This specific virtue of mine helps me to grow as a person. It brings a positive impact to other people as well. However, I still don't know if someone admired my kindness but if ever there's someone then I should be thankful.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - I will make sure to value it as much as I can because they are the essential qualities that are necessary for my own desire and happiness also it makes me distinct from other individuals as well. By recognizing the significance of these virtues in our lives it will lead us to a better understanding and acceptance between you and other individuals. Virtues are important and people should commit to doing the right thing to keep up the highest personal moral standards. These virtues are systematic explanations of specific views that present how complex the issues are around attempting to live a moral life. Once these virtues become a part of you it will lead you to a better life and happiness.

One time, when I was in a virtual meeting with my team up leaders and members, we had a mini game where we are grouped into two and tasked us to find a specific bible verse and, whoever found it first, the group where she belongs, will gained some points and the group with the highest points will have some price. In that time, I was with my cousin and sister and they are troubling to find the verses. Even we are not in the same group, if I found the verse first, I will hand them the bible so they can read the verse and win the points. In some times, i will help them to find the given verse. After that meeting, my leader told me that, she commended me for what i have done. She said that, despite of the competition and the price, I still help others and do not mind of winning.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If i need to work on a virtue, I think it is I should learn how to approach someone first. It has been my struggles that I have difficulties in making friends. I always wait for the person to approach me first. This is why I only have few friends. I will practice by starting to communicate more with others and whenever I like someone to be close to me, I will try to talk to him or her more often without any hesitations.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Ever since I was a kid and even up to this day, my most known virtue is my resiliency. Like getting a bad grade would not make me feel down for a long time or losing something that was once important to me will only take a day or two to move on. Sometimes they even doubt if I’ve ever felt a sense of loss. However, I think being resilient is one of my strongest points since it requires a strong mind and heart to become one. Due to this, most of my close friends would often lean on me if they have a problem since they view me as someone strong. It’s not that I don’t feel any pain, fear, and sense of loss but it’s because of the mindset that failing something will not end the world. Pain can become wisdom, from fear to courage, from suffering to strength. Instead of crying over spilled milk, I often look for another way to compensate for my failure or loss. It gives me the direction and pushes that I need that also influences those people around me.

    2) If you need to work on virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

Virtue is something that is part of us. To work on a virtue means we need commitment and perseverance to really incorporate it into our daily lives. Suppose we’re in a situation that makes us angry, scared, or impatient. Usually, if one person is angry, the typical behavior or response they do is to shout and say hurtful words to another person. Our mind is clouded with negativity and we respond to those emotions by inflicting the same emotion on another person. However, if we are really dedicated to working on our virtue, during those scenarios, there will be a moment or something within our mind that will keep our emotions together. It will give us more time to think of a proper way to respond to those emotions.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Whenever my father ordered me to buy some things that are needed at home, I always say thank you to the store's owner for her small act. I usually apply this in some cases like in convenience store, there's a person who always open the door whenever there are people who will enter or exit. On behalf of the people who ignored his kindness, I took my time to gave thanks to him because I appreciate his actions the fact that it's not really his job to certainly do that. Also, in any fastfood restaurants that I've been to. This virtue is a form of gratitude that even if it is just a little thing, you are still being appreciative knowing that you also makes them happy by thanking them.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

In order for me to achieve a virtue that I've wanted, I need to make it a habit. Consider all the possibilities in any situation and predict what will happen if I'll apply a certain virtue. I'll make sure that I act it wholeheartedly not just pretending, not that I am only focused on any judgements that may occur from other people that will caused me to be away from my true goal.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - That virtue is being orderliness. I am the type of person that wants things to be well organized. I like seeing things in their proper places and arrangements. My friends told me that being organized is one of my special characteristics because none of them is like me (lol sometimes they ask me to arrange their bags like how I arrange mine)

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - It's being faithful, I want to practice or work on this virtue more. Being faithful is becoming or having a firm and constant devotion to something to which he or she is united by or as if by a promise or pledge. Always be faithful to your duty. Faithful is not specific to a person but to what you do. Faithful is being committed. Committed or commitment is an internal act, an act of heart and mind, of dedicating oneself self to something.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The last time someone admired my honesty is when I was taking my lunch at the pantry of my office, one lady forgot her ID at one of the benches nearby my table. I called her and return her ID, she says that she is thankful that I immediately get her attention and bring back her ID as she couldn’t enter the production floor if she don’t have her ID. As the lady goes back on her way to the production floor, I return to my table to continue eating my lunch.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

I want to work on my courage or my confidence, as sometimes I don’t have enough courage to do something that is really important and it affects the current situation that I am in. In order for me to work on my confidence or courage, I need to face my fears and need to risk something; for instances I need to be independent in doing something without the help or guidance of my parents and I need to be vocal on my opinion, support and stand what is my beliefs/ point.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - There is no certain time that I’ve remembered someone admired my virtue, but most of my high school friends, including those who have known me for a long time, often looked up to my character when it comes to how I address what is right from the wrong ones. Based to what they have described me, I can say that they are referring to my Virtue of Temperance. This virtue has led me patterned myself after forgiveness and mercy, humility and modesty, prudence, and self-control, in which helped me to prevent myself from being selfish, arrogant, or any other trait that is unacceptable or peculiar to my moral nature. I remember some friend asked me if I wasn’t getting tired forgiving people regardless of what bruises they’ve caused in my life, and the response I always have at the back of my mind, “Maybe he/she has a reason hidden behind?”. I am the kind of person who doesn’t hold grudges for life, and choosing what’s best and under god’s will is the greatest key I have to keep myself secure against the undesirable ones regardless the consequences that can get in my way.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - I believe, that if you desire to work on a particular virtue for it to become a part of you, it shouldn’t be something that you only want because the world is telling you so. Rather, it should be far from being stranger to your own moral beliefs, for virtues negotiates with your character and principle in life. Thus, to make it become really a part of you, it should be practiced in every decision you make, but with much patience and cautiousness as a high morale human being.

This question may not be answered by myself that is why I asked a friend for an opinion. My friend stated that she was overwhelmed whenever I asked about her condition, especially when a recent news in SLU wherein numerous students committed suicide since I really felt how hard and exhausting for her the online class set-up. As a friend, whenever I had a chance and time to ask about her condition, I would do it and listen to her story. It does not require us to answer all the rants or agree with our friend's problem because simply listening and understanding is enough for them to know that there is someone they can talk to. This is an act of caring where I show how concerned I am about her since it is the only way to see each other physically.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
It takes a lot of effort for a person to learn and embody their desired virtue. In my case, as I had natural virtue that may not be used or may not be seen through my actions, I need to trust the process to attach those virtues in my traits and attitudes. The proper way of improving and developing integrity is the key to not separating this in my daily life and action toward other people. People surrounded by us may also be the instrument to express and show the virtue practices because it will reflect how they respond to a particular virtue.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
During my senior high school days, everytime I passed by a beggar or a person who seemed lonely, I would always give them food even though I do not have enough for myself. One time, when me and my friend passed by a beggar who was sitting in the walkway of the footbridge I felt the need to feed him. However, I do not have any food or snacks in my hands so I asked my friend if we could buy some bread and water for the guy on the bridge. After I gave the food to the guy, my friend said that I was very thoughtful to those people who are in need and he also added that I am always willing to help other people especially to the elderly as he saw me a few times showing good deeds to people on the street or outside our school premises.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
I think the best way for a virtue to become part of us is through practicing. Virtue ethics begins with the insight that our actions shape our character. Therefore, what we do and what we project determines who we become. The more times we choose to exercise that certain virtue, the more likely we are to be that person we project in future situations. Thus, through practicing or exercising a virtue on a daily basis, the virtue will eventually become part of ourselves.

The last day someone admired my virtue was just a week ago. When my friend approached me to ask for help regarding his assignment, I did not hesitate to accept his request. When someone asks me for help, not refusing becomes my hobby. I always do this, not only with my friends but also with any people who need my help. Through this, my friends recognized me for my generosity. I don’t become stingy when it comes a time, I’m just here and always active for my friends or people whenever they ask for assistance. No matter how busy I am, I can never ignore them. I am willing to lend my hand to them because I know the feeling of being helpless, ignored, and rejected.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

To ensure that my virtue becomes a permanent part of my life, I need to practice it patiently, wholeheartedly, and sincerely through interaction. I need to restrain myself from temptations that could cause harm to my neighbor. I need to work on these virtues constantly so that my heart and mind can be exercised to act and decide morally. And at the end of the day, the one who can benefit from it is, not only me but also the people I can interact with in the future.

I think it was the time where I remained courageous despite the lowest point of my life. I won’t share the detail of the story, but it somehow influenced someone I talked to about my problem. We all know that this current situation has been testing our mental and physical capabilities. And I am not lying when I say this kind of environment had taken so much from me and even drained me at all possible costs. Thus, it is even harder now to survive in this world. However, I remained courageous and composed to face all my current problems and taught myself to be adaptive in the change of times and responsive to the needs of the time. Additionally, I always remind myself to be proactive for the betterment of my life. And so, he told me how much he admired my mentality and my courage to face my adversity.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
    - If I need to work on a virtue to become a part of me, then what I will do is, first, fully understand why I need it. Second, I have to teach myself to live with it and be an example of it. And I should develop it by learning and practicing in everyday life. Next, I have to assure myself that I am cultivating moral wisdom, discernment, and character. As well as I stick to my core and beliefs since these can influence my decision-making. Lastly, I desire that my ethical virtue is being manifested through my ethical actions.

The last time someone admired my virtue was when in my junior high school days. I joined a club called “Interact Club of Kabataang Imuseño”. The club aims to help other people those whose badly in needs. We’re assigned to make project and choose a chosen charity that we will helping. It was Christmas season when we visited the orphanage, we all had fun helping and listening from their stories. The virtue that was being observed is being helpful and generous to other people.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

Virtues are learned and practiced. Self-discipline can develop a person's character, whereas self-indulgence can corrupt a good character. Just as running a marathon requires a lot of training and practice, so does our ability to be fair, courageous, or caring.

    - I believe it is making a sacrifice for the benefit of my friend. I'll relate the story; I have a friend who desires to work for Food Panda. Then, he'll need a bicycle to deliver the food, but he doesn't have one. I offer him my bicycle to use, as he requires it more often than I do. I'm riding that bicycle to get somewhere or to decide to buy it. I recommend that to him because it is his intention and motive to have a job that will assist his mother in meeting her financial obligations for medication. It is acceptable to give up something for the benefit of someone else.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - I need to work on being more generous. Personally, I am a kind and understanding person, but I am a failure when it comes to being self-centered. I've been deprived of money and material personal items. I cannot give something of which I have been deprived. I am unable to give money to someone because I need it as well. I can't treat anyone because I don't want to lose my money right away. For my own benefit, I am able to set my own spending limits. However, I will state that is incorrect, as I personally know. As a result, I don't want to maintain that attitude and am constantly striving to evolve from self-centeredness to selflessness. I'm happy and satisfied with that because I am aware of that attitude and grateful to myself for exercising selflessness. This allows me to give without becoming selfish.

Six months ago, I was praised by my father and sister due to my virtue of gratitude. After I, with my father and sister, were vaccinated, we decided to eat in some fast-food chain because of hunger. When the guard open the door for us, I said thank you, and when the crew gave us our food, I also said thank you. While eating, my sister asked me pertaining to why I am always saying thank you to them. I said that I am the type of person who expresses gratitude easily to someone who helps me, no matter how small or big it is. I also say thank you when somebody hands over my fare for the jeepney, someone opens the door for me, being complimented, receiving anything useful, being helped, and many more times, even though I did not obtain something. I believe that possessing the virtue of gratitude will benefit me as well as others. Being thankful for all the things I have in life will make me easy to get satisfied, makes my life joyful and away from experiencing envy and resentment. Saying thank you to others can make them happy, motivated, and inspired for them to do their best in their job.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
First of all, you need to acknowledge what virtue you should work on, and this can be done by evaluating yourself and by the criticism or feedback of others. After recognizing the virtue you want to develop, try to possess and practice it regularly as much as you can, making it a part of your lifestyle. Through practicing, honing the virtue skill you want to develop will become viable for you at the right time. Just trust the process, be patient, practice often, and maximize the use of the said virtue for it to become a part of yourself that can benefit you in a long run.

I think some of my friends admire my virtue because I know they appreciate the effort I put into it. And to be honest, I'm a "yes" person, and sometimes I put myself into complicated situations for others. I remember one situation where I did well for my friend and the effect was bad for me. I was with him and his son-in-law when he punched my friend, and I acted angry towards that person because I knew that my friend had not committed any sins against him, and I beat him and paid for his CT scan. I don't regret that action because that person deserved what I did, and I know my friend appreciated the act I did for his sake. When I have friends who are hungry or sleepless, I feed them and put them to sleep at home.

Care for myself or self love. I want to work on this virtue because I always care to others than myself. Since I was a kid, I always decide for the sake of other people that surrounds me and I don't even think for myself if it's okay with me or not as long as other people are okay with it. Lately, I think that I need to change myself because sometimes we are abuse by people who know that we are good to them and we're been taken for granted.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
When we were in high school, my friends and some of our teachers told me that they saw me as a thoughtful and selfless person. My friends said they have seen me giving help to other people such as offering food to street people when I have a spare and also physical assistance when some elderly or person with disability crosses the road or carries loaded bags, and helping others with some work even when I have more to do. My parents and grandparents told me that, whatever happens, I must be kind to other people and help others in all ways I can and give all that I can. It is much better to give to others than to receive. Whatever I do, I must always consider the people around me, especially when they’re in need of help.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
Working on a virtue to be a part of our self requires dedication, perseverance, and patience. Dedication to the task we want to attain, we must know that we do this particular virtue because we want it to be part of us and not only for show. Also, perseverance is a must. Just like in our goals in life, we work hard to be able to achieve it. We must practice this certain virtue daily and make it a habit to help this become part of our life. Lastly, we need patience. Achieving something is not something we could get in a snap of a finger. Whatever we do, we must be patient in our work, continue practicing naturally and keep on trying until this virtue become our habit and a part of our life.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The virtue that I think someone admired me for is that of being selfless. My parents taught me to care about others and how they feel. I always show kindness to everyone because I know that they deserve to be treated like that. I believe that you should treat others as you want to be treated. I always think that it is a blessing if I share and give others something they want. Sharing is caring. It means that when we give something to someone, it is equal to caring for them. One of my friends scolded me that it is not good that I always think of others before myself. Then, I responded to her that it’s good for me even if sometimes they abuse me, because giving happiness to others means a lot to me. It gives my heart joy if I care for someone before myself.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If you want to work on a virtue, you must develop it through learning and practice. It is difficult at first, but if you consistently work on it, it will become second nature to you. We need to commit wholeheartedly to doing it. For example, I want to learn the virtue of patience because I think this trait is missing in my personality. So first, I must practice waiting on something and I must think that even if it takes a long time, in the end, it is worth it to wait.

-lately, in our circle of friends there was a fight just because of the alcohol mixture, I was not there at that event, but both sides told me what happened. based on the stories told to me by both sides, I know who is wrong, the consensus of my friends is that I don't take sides even if he is the one who is wrong, first of all, what he did wasn't that painful, secondly we are friends, so we should no tantrums that last for many months. so the one I sided with he admired of my virtue that even if he was the one who did something wrong with him I still sided. because that's why I understood both sides based on their stories.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

During my senior high school days, when someone asks for help, I make it a point to not say no. When the time comes, I don't become stingy; instead, I'm here and ready to help my friends or strangers anytime they need it. I can never ignore them, no matter how busy I am. I am willing to provide a helping hand since I understand how it feels to be helpless and rejected.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

I need to embrace my virtue gradually, totally, and truly through interaction to ensure that it becomes a permanent part of my life. The more times we choose to practice a certain virtue, the more likely we are to project that person in future situations. As a result, if we practice or exercise a virtue daily, it will eventually become a part of us.

    1)  When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

People who always appreciate and admire me is my friends. They always tell me that I have good temper and asked me how do i do that but actually I don't think I am that kind of person. Maybe because the reason why they thought I am that type of person is because most of the time I rather choose to stay still than complain or demand. I find it very uncomfortable when people around me are loud and despite of asking kindly they chose to be rude. I do sometimes feel that way to be honest but like what I have mentioned I prefer staying quiet than complain.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If I need to work on a virtue, I chose confidence. I want to be courage enough to face any situation that I may experience because there are a lot of opportunities that was put into waste as I am not confident and I fear that I might just fail and embarrassed myself in the end. I want confidence to become part of me in order to become the best of me.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - The last time someone admired my virtue was 10 months ago, last week of January. It was before the death of my grand mother in father side, whom I called "nanay". When the time that she was very weak, she cannot even go the bathroom because her illness. I'm the one who is in charge in her food and medicine I will be the one who will feed her, give her some fruits and after that, the medicine. Every time I finished my tasked, she always says "thank you" and I feel that genuinely. One day, I helped her to go to the bathroom, and after that she kiss my right hand and tell me "You're so kind and caring". When I heard that, I'm so touched and almost cried. Nanay would always tell me positive words about my physical attraction and inner beauty, and those words still here in my heart even how many years will pass.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - The virtue that I want to work to be part of my life is the acceptance. Since then, it was very hard for me to accept things that cause to break my heart and leave a scar to it. I can accept and just move on to the little things that hurt my feelings and cause me pain, but the one that I cannot accept was the death of my love ones. Even it was many years or a year ago, the pain was still there and the feelings was still the same. The things that I will do to make sure that acceptance will be part of me was to have a deep thinking and realization. What is the right thing to think and to happened? And also, the very important one was to read the bible about what God say about acceptance, because by doing that you will feel the peace and gradually the healing of all the hidden wounds in your heart.

I am not quite sure when was the last time someone admired my virtue so I asked one of my friend. She answered "I don't really remember when was the last time but the most memorable one was when I needed help in shopwork 2. You don't hesitate to help me even though you also have many pending activities to be done. That's beyond selfless. You are also tired physically and mentally but you are always there to help others." She admired my virtue of compassion, kindness and patience.

2.) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
If I need to work on a virtue, to make sure it becomes a part of myself, I should continue to practice and work for it. By doing this, it can become a habit. Apply it in my everyday life. I must consider what virtue/s I want to work on and focus in achieving it. Avoid distractions or temptations in life as I practice my virtue. Lastly, to be patient. It takes time to adapt and do it but small progress is still a progress. What truly matters is that I take small steps to do it and become part of myself that would always define me who I am and what I am to others.

    — Ever since, people admire my attitude towards them, I remember when I was in grade 12 I have received a message on our retreat saying "You are very kind but not everyone deserves your kindness, learn to know when to act kind and not" something like that, but to answer the main question, the last time I was received an admiration towards my virtue is last night. My mom and I has a deep talk and as she gives an advice she admired my love and care towards the people whom I know, she also says that I must keep doing it as it is good but she follows, "but please guard your heart, you are too young to feel feelings that is not really for you. Enjoy your youth, kid."

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes part of you? Explain.

The virtue that I will work on will be bravery. Bravery to do things freely and confidently, I believe that if I could have this virtue, I would not have a second thoughts on things I would love to do. It can unlock so many opportunities that may help me to grow more as a person. This may be hard at first for a girl who live most of her life in fear but I believe that if you want to achieve something, you will really worked hard to achieve it, and maybe someday, I would become what I really want to be.

Before, my sister and I had a heart-to-heart conversation in which she expressed her admiration for me being a courageous individual. She observed me taking any risks even when the chances were 50-50, also she witnessed my downtimes and my fighting stage wherein I’m trying to overcome my fear. She sees me as a person that not easily give up on the things I want to achieve and a person who marked her word. I can say that it was neither recklessness nor fearlessness. Regardless of fear, discomfort, or temptation, I have made the decision to persist. Because without guts, I don't believe I would be the person I am today.

Working on virtue to be a part of ourselves requires needs a lot of time and effort to learn. Things like this cannot be accomplished in just a couple of seconds that we think about virtue. It is because it involves a lot of practice, patience, dedication, and consistency for virtue to become part of us.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
By definition, virtue is a person's moral excellence. Morally excellent people have a character that is made up of good virtues. Recently, when I was venting out to a friend saying I am tired of everything and I am just compelled to keep things going, she said that I am very composed. She said that despite of what I’ve been going through right now, I am still calm and collective. I always have difficulties dealing with myself and other matters, but I still carry on. Even though I told her I am just compelling, she said what is important is that I am still trying to compose myself. It’s flattering to think that she looks at me that way, even if I always feel miserable because of my instability. When I look at myself, I always think I won’t get through my dark phase but my friend thinks I can get through it because of the virtue I possess and I think that is wonderful.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
If I were to work on a virtue, it must be something I should do wholeheartedly. It shouldn’t be something I must do because someone told me to do it. Through learning and practice, virtues are developed. As per Aristotle once suggested, a good character can be corrupted by repeated self-indulgence, whereas a good character can be improved by practicing self-discipline. Just as the ability to perform sport skills develop through much training and practice, so does our capacity to be a virtuous person. If we desire to the good, we must also put it into action until it becomes a habit. Virtues are habits and once they are acquired, they become characteristics. A virtuous person is an ethical person.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Someone, I think, admired me for the virtue of being helpful to others who needs support. My friends and I agreed to travel to a place we wanted to see it because it was chilly and the views were beautiful that day. We saw a motor being pushed by the owner as we were heading there, and I immediately thought of asking what had happened. So I went back and asked him what happened, and he said he ran out of gas, so we made our way to the gas station and helped him by pushing his motor to the gas station with my foot so I could push him. He was happy when we arrived at the gas station because he wasn't in any more trouble. Of course, we were happy since we were able to help not only ourselves but also others. Regardless of the fact that we didn't know the guy, we were able to help him in some way.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

To develop a virtue, you must study and practice it, as Aristotle mentioned, "a person may develop his or her character by exercising self-discipline, whereas a good character can be destroyed by repeated self-indulgence." Consider your greatest achievements and practice how you define success by considering your biggest achievements in your life so that you believe in yourself that you are qualified for the position because you have achieved through practice.

    - The last time someone admired me because of my generousity and it was in the market. There was a homeless kid who poking me and he wants me to give him a food because he was so starving since yesterday. But my mother gave me an exact amount of money to buy the ingredients for our food so I was thinking that day if am I going to give that boy wants or being scold with my mother because I may not able to buy the exact ingredients that she gave me. After of minutes of thinking, I finally made my decision to buy a food for that kid because I saw in his eyes that he was so starving and anytime soon he might pass out. I didn't know that the friend of mine who was also buying food at the same store was staring at me like he was so amaze on what I did. For me, it's just a simple act of kindness that we may share to others.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - I have my own virtue in me, I am concerned whether it influences my choice and accountability. If I have the time and courage, I will engage with such virtue as often as possible in my daily life. With this strategy, I'll continue rising my virtue until it comes naturally in the end. I need to take the right steps if I want to achieve a virtue that I desire. In any case, consider all of the alternatives and determine what will happen if I use a particular virtue.

It was just a recent heart-to-heart talk with my partner. She said she admires how I help other people even if I am struggling too. She told me that is not help, that is love. Love is the greatest virtue of all. Love is the most powerful force in the universe, it elicits strong emotions, guides us in positive directions, and gives our lives meaning. She said that what I am doing is a clear example of giving without expecting the other person to help me get out of my bind while I am being stranded in a storm. There is no barter system in love, it is an amalgamation of care and understanding without any attached expectations.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
Character and personality are inextricably linked. To have good character, one's habits, actions, and emotional reactions must all be aligned and guided toward the moral and good. To have good character, one must not only recognize and desire what is good, but also actively pursue it in both private and public actions. In order to make sure a virtue becomes part of you is to make it a habit. Moral virtues grow over time as a result of habituation. The moral beginner must practice acting in ethical ways in order to build genuine moral virtue through repetition and experience.

-The last time someone admired me I think it was two or three weeks ago and wisdom is the specific virtue that was observed. It happened when my best friend message me asking for an advice because she got a problem. Of course I helped her and eventually she figured out an idea on how to solve her problem. She was thankful that time and tells me that she admires me for having wisdom because I can give deeper understanding to different ideas or situations and at the same time having an ability to make a judgments and decisions.

I want it to become part of me not because I don't have friends, but because I feel awkward whenever I’m taking to other people. It is like my energy drains quickly when I’m socializing for too long and after that conversation I just want to be alone and recharge myself. Hence, I want to work on it by trying to not to over think and avoid negative ideas when I’m talking to other people. I want them to feel that I’m interested on what they’re saying, it’s just like my ability to continue the conversation is not good enough.

Way back when my friend was so stressed because were loaded of school activities, she asked a favor if I can at least help her to give references or ideas for her essay, even though I am busy that time, I accepted her favor because I know the feeling of having a hard time. Even though they knew me as a person whose not being showy but kind and generous, I am just glad that even though we belonged to different universities, we are still helping each other and that is enough for me so, I am not asking anything for them in return.

My grandmother was the last person to compliment me on my virtue, saying that I am very responsible by being organized and disciplined in life, I was praised for being able to maintain consistency in my goals as slowly but steadily progressing toward my life goals. I help my family, particularly my mother and two younger siblings, in whatever way I can.

    2. I'm looking forward to continuing to strengthen and maintain the great features of my trait, as well as possibly improving it. On the other side, I will use the bad aspect as a learning opportunity for myself. Last Sunday, I went out to hangout with my best friends. It’s kind of normal for us to commend each other’s traits and sometimes make fun of them. We got into this conversation where my friend said that I give the best advice, but I can’t seem to apply it to myself. They love that I always listen to their rants and I know how to keep a secret. I believe that only a few people knew and experienced this trait of mine. I don’t really like to meddle with other people’s business. I appreciate them (my family and friends) for bringing up topics that I know are a big deal for them. I appreciate that out of all the people, they trusted me with that and sought advice from me. I am lucky that I have a friend group who knows how to be open for criticism and not easily offended. I was recognized as the “one call away” friend in our group, and I guess somehow “the mom of the group”.
    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
I admit that I am often dumb and careless with my actions. To be able to get rid of that trait I put a mental note in my mind that I need to be always careful with everything I do. The same way, we need to take note mentally that your desired virtue needs to be a part of you. You need to exert effort and time for it to happen. I think asking for feedback from your friends or someone you’re comfortable with can be also helpful. Being self-aware can be difficult, and biased, so you need someone from your environment to assess your actions. Lastly, the will to be consistent in doing good for people will help you work on your desired virtue. Change needs to start from within and then discipline will follow.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Digging to my memories, as what I recall, maybe this is not the last time someone’s admired my virtue but this is the most memorable time for me and this is when my mother admires how I control my emotions and dissociate it from my actions. Being praised by my mother as an independent woman is the most precious time for me. Despite of having less attention from her since that time, I never felt bad instead I feel happy because I know she trust me, she trust me that I can do and handle things on my own, making good decisions and not letting my emotion overwhelmed me. Having this “self-control” virtue helps me made less mistakes as I don’t let emotions affects my decisions and actions.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If I will work on a certain virtue and make it become a part of me, consistency and commitment is the best way to do so. I will consistently practice this certain virtue in every situation it can be used for, and as time goes by, it will eventually become a habit and surely become part of myself. Consistency will not be possible without commitment. Being committed in this certain virtue will help me to consistently live with this virtue becoming a part of myself and personality. So if I will be committed and consistent on this virtue, it will surely become a part of me.

I don’t very much remember all the details back then, but I remember my friend admired me because of my thoughtfulness and always thinking about others or not being a selfish person. I always help people whenever they are in need or prioritize them first than myself because it breaks my heart whenever I see others go into a helpless situation if I chose to help myself first, I do admit sometimes that I prioritize myself whenever I like it, but when there’s a opportunity to help others or it makes me feel bad(it do always makes me feel bad), then I go right straight into helping them if I can. Thinking about others first makes me feel good inside because it makes me think that I achieved something great

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
-During high school I joined an oratorical competition in school. My competitors were already Veterans in public speaking competitions they already joined contests outside the school. The chances of me winning are very low the fact that its my first time joining that type of contest. I was ignored and tagged as last runner up before the contest begin since no one expects me to win. I didn’t mind those criticisms and insults instead I trained hard and prepared before the contest proper. I know that I’m happy with what I’m doing and whether I win or lose at least I could have presented the speech piece very well. During the contest, I was the last performer, other candidates missed some part of the piece, and some had a cracking voice. During my moment I confidently presented my piece with good tone as I practiced. Unexpectedly I won the competition, everyone was clapping and, seems to be very proud, praising me with good words and describing how well I am on stage. Then one kid, by his school uniform I think he is still in 5th grade, asked me, “were you not scared before the contest knowing that you will be competing with veteran speakers?” And I responded, “I don’t see any reason to be sacred, I know my passion and those passion gives me strength ad confidence besides, my goal is not to win but to show people that even starter can keep up with veterans if they believe in themselves”. That kid who asked me that question took my advice by heart and apply it to himself. One time the same kid approached me and said “kuya idol po kita”, at first, I cannot recognize who this kid is until he told me where he met me, “ang galling po Ninyo” he added, and I remember that this was the same who asked me 3 years ago. The lesson is, in our life there will always be veterans in the field we want to enter but don’t be scared instead be brave and took that as an opportunity to make yourself better than them. Drive with passion and you will see yourself still smiling in times of hardships.
    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
-For a virtue to be part of you, you have to put by heart. Once something becomes a part of you, you’ll be able to make it a habit. Also, by continuous practice, a virtue can be strengthened. For example, if you have a specific mantra that you believe and you think of it in all of the events in your life, it becomes the source of your bravery or confidence until every time you are overwhelmed with your problem or current situation you can still afford to look brave and confident. Virtue is like learning math, if you don’t put it by heart and practice it, you’re making it weak.

The virtue that I have and was admired by someone is my generosity . I'm a quiet person and I always like to observe people around me that is why I can see what are they doing. One time, as I observed during our church gathering I saw that one of the youth new comer in our church was struggling so I approach her and asked her if what's bothering her. She said she have a problem then I helped her to fix the situation she have. After what happened, she told me that I'm generous and she admired me because even though we are not close and we didn't know each other I helped her with her stuffs.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
To make a virtue part of who you are, the thing that you need to work in your life is to practice yourself. Challenge yourself to achieve the virtue that you want. Remind yourself that you need to have this particular virtue. For example, I really want to have a patience because I'm a short tempered person especially when I'm stressed and in a hurry. I prayed for God to give me patience and help me to bear this fruit which is from the Holy Spirit, after I prayed for it I noticed that there are a lot of things happen wherein my patience where being challenged. In those situations, I learn to control myself and my temper and praise God because I'm in the process of change.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Someone admired my virtue when my friend graduated from senior high school. She is one of my schoolmates in my previous school. She is struggling with her studies, and she tends to overthink a lot. Normally, I really spend time listening to her rants, negative thoughts, and hardships in life. I’m surprised because I didn’t expect that she will give me a thank you message. She’s grateful because I’m always by her side through the lows and highs of her life. Also, she’s thankful for my encouragement, trust and for being her lifesaver. I didn’t let her become paranoid about the problems she was having. The specific virtue that was observed is the virtue of kindness. This virtue will help me to grow as a person and I’m thankful for the people who admire my virtue.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

Virtue already resides within me. Virtues are habits that we must improve and develop through learning and practice in order to grow as a person. It doesn’t develop all at once, but it develops over time. Once we have it, it becomes our personality. We can enhance our personality by having self-control, self-awareness, self-discipline, empathy and being responsible for our decisions and actions. We must make an extra effort to improve our virtue and give time to reflect on our life decisions, behaviors, and actions. As we grow older, our personalities are deeply affected by our values. Virtue is the foundation of our personal growth and success.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
The last time I remember someone admired my virtue was when I applied for my current job. It was my first working experience, and I don’t know how the BPO industry works. I applied because I want to be independent and save money. The interviewer told me that he admired my virtue in life when he asked me to share with him what my experiences are within the 18 years of my existence. He admired my passion for serving people. I was former President of various clubs and former President of the Student council. He lastly told me that he liked how responsible a person I am, having this urge to enter a new situation with so much passion and courage. My friend always scolds me for being selfless. I always extend help to those people who need an extra hand. I maybe look grumpy for those people how doesn’t know me but, I have this attitude that I cannot stand watching people suffer for example old people sleeping in the street and children that was asking for food or money or when they need help with their modules even I have work and have my own activities, I still tried to help them as much as an I can. I was raised with this quote “Kung kayang tumulong, tumulong hanggat may maitutulong”
    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
If I need to work on a certain virtue. You should be ready for the possible consequences or the outcome of your decisions. You must understand, be responsible, accept and be confident in the virtue you are working on. Understand why you are doing it. Be responsible for your actions and the outcome of your decisions. Accept what will be the outcome and be confident because if you are confident and trust yourself you can do it. You need to be ready and to practice it in your daily life. It will be hard in the beginning, and it will confuse you but just trust the process and your desired outcome will be achieved.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

To be honest, I'm not sure if anyone admires my virtue, but whenever I engage with others, I always exhibit my compassion since it allows me to connect with others and develop important relationships, which I'm glad for. Aside from that, I feel proud of myself for being a nice person whenever I offer generosity to others. I want to apply it not just to myself but also to others since I'm the type of person who is always looking for positivity and good vibes, and I believe that giving kindness to others is a basic human behavior that we should all do. This particular virtue of mine aids in my own development. It has a favorable effect on others. If there are someone who admires my virtue, then it is an honour to be recognize.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

I'll make an effort to cherish it as much as possible because it's one of the most important attributes for my personal desire and happiness, and it also distinguishes me from other people. Recognizing the importance of these virtues in our life can help us to have a greater understanding and acceptance of one another. People should commit to doing the right thing in order to maintain the highest personal moral standards. These qualities are systematic explanations of specific points of view that show how difficult it is to live a virtuous life. These characteristics will lead to a better life and happiness once they have become a part of you.

    - Although I honestly don’t know how other people saw me as, but I knew for sure that it was my parents who knew me the most. I think it was my them who admired my virtue the most and this happened almost every day. Since childhood, despite facing lots of adversity, I was the type of person who was persistent and fully committed to the choices I make in life. I was the type of person who never give up, have positive outlook in life, and will do my best to reach my goal, and maybe because of this traits of mine, I was able to garner respect from the people around me.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
    - For me, to make sure a virtue becomes a part of me, I will instill these virtues in both my mind and body. The moment I wake up in the morning until the end of the day, I will always remind myself the reasons why I struggles every day, for what purpose did I exit in this world, and what should I possess for me to achieve my goals in life. I will act with virtues in mind and deliver it throughout my body for me to slowly familiarize and integrate these actions within myself.

I think the last time someone admired my kindness is when I helped a lady in a store. The lady is in the line to pay into the cashier and I’m next to her, but she forgot something and she can’t go to find it because her hands are all full of the supplies she buys. I notice her struggle that’s why I ask her if I can volunteer to find what she needs and go get it for her. When I gave it to her she’s very thankful for my kindness and how I easily notice her struggle.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If I will work on a virtue I think it will be being empathetic. I want to be more connected to other people and I know improving my ability to have empathy with others can help me understand them and feel the same emotions that they experienced. Not just because I want to gain more friends but to help them to deal with their struggles wherein they can feel that there is someone who can understand their emotions and can listen to them. In order to do this, I need to be more careful and widen my understanding.

I think my virtue that admired by others is being reliable. I always say “yes” to others and help them without having a single thought. I always help my family especially my older brother with his work. My brother has part time jobs and being a teacher/professor is one of his job. Therefore, he always has workloads and student’s papers that is need to check. I always help him and manage all of the tasks that is need to be done. He told me that he admires me of being reliable because I help him always and he’s thankful for that. I also help my younger brother with his school activities and teach him as well. And also the household chores.

I believe in the saying “practice makes perfect” I should practice how to stand on my own and be independent. I want to speak up on my opinions with confidence. 1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

I presume the last time someone praised one of my virtues was when a friend called to tell me about a problem she was having a problem. I offered to go to their house because she was crying, but when she saw me doing my homework, she kept saying she was fine. Instead of going, I sat and listened to her, trying to cheer her up until she stopped crying. After she stopped crying, we began to just talk about things and plan trips that would never happen. Finally, he mentioned on how thoughtful and patient I am, saying that even though it took her hours to tell her story, I listened even though I was doing my assignments.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If I need to work on a virtue, I will first identify the type of virtue I am attempting to work on or develop in order to know what I should be doing to nurture that virtue. Having said that, we take control of our own lives when we develop the habit of being virtuous, which is why simply practicing these virtues and learning how to apply them to specific situations isn't enough to live a moral life; we should be able to have good intentions as well as be passionate into developing such virtues, and not just do it because you expect something in return.

The people around me, like my family and friends, often noticed my orderliness and creativity. To be honest, I don't remember exactly when they told me that they admired those virtues of mine but, I do remember the scenario. During our senior years in high school, in our group, I was "sort of" in charge of our schedules and deadlines; I was also the one who always kept the papers during submission. I want things to be well-ordered to avoid confusion and mayhem. My parents also trust me of things that are important in our family because they know that whenever they need it, I know where I put it. I feel that whenever I organize my schedules and things, I also give myself time sorting my thoughts and feelings out.

    2) If you need to work on virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain
I will put it into my heart and soul, not just in my mind. I will make sure that it will become my motto in life. I will also turn it into a habit and will not stay just as a practice. Because action speaks louder than words, it may sound cliche yet it is indeed true that it is better to put your words into action so, it will become part of your reality and not just in your cognition.

I think when my friends admired how understanding and reliable I was, especially when it comes to my siblings, because that's what I've always been hearing from them these past few days. For me, it is my obligation to do so because I am the only person that could be there for them. I have to broaden my understanding because the situation we are in is not easy. If I have to work on a virtue, that would be prudence or being a prudent person. Prudence in finances, handling problems, and life decisions. In order for me to make sure that this becomes a part of me, I must practice prudence in my daily life. For example, being wise on spending money, I have to double check and budget my finances first then see if what I'd be buying is a need and is for long term. I msut always think carefully and assess the situation before acting, and always have a goal-oriented insights.

-I think when I was in junior high and senior high school days, I remembered that my classmate admires me just because of the virtue that I have that in terms of moral virtue they are always say that I am kind, every person that needs helps I immediately extend my hand just to help them as long as I can. Aside from that being their leader inside our classroom during that time I am type of leader that is fair to all my classmates and they really admired it that is why they have a big trust to my leadership.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
-I think for it to become a part of me I’ll need to continuously act and behave according to the norms and standard of the society, constantly and steadily exercising high moral conduct. Also it is important for us to reflect on our actions, in our decisions whether those actions are bad or good, reflecting would help us to determine what areas in our lives we need to focus on improving to, so that it would be acceptable first in our society but most of all, in ourselves. It is important that the way we behave or act in a certain situation must not be solely base on how the society expected us, but rather we may also include that the way we act or behave is who we really are. That way, we will not stray too far from the idealization of the society and being true to yourself would make those virtues a part of yourself.

    - It was last week, when my friends and I went on a simple cafe to catch up. However, we first went to our other friend house and met each other there, so that we could go to the café together. As we met, we did commute all together to get there. In cessation, we have arrived on the café and we got our orders as well. As each waiter or waitress served our order I would always say thank you to them. This is where one of commented me that I do always say thank you to anybody in response to their act. Personally, saying thank you for me means a lot, it is a simple appreciation that would matter to someone, since, everyone may be off with that. But, whenever I do receive thank you, I would always and always appreciate it, because I do value the matter that someone recognizes my effort.

Whereas for me, having self love is accepting who you are, having the right routine in everyday life, from waking up in the morning, eating a healthy breakfast, being productive and sleeping at the right time, this is how I define self love. Because right now, I do abuse myself, by sleeping on 3am, waking up on 9am, and eating only when I do have time to eat and feels hungry. This instance may cause me something that may be resulted into having complications on health, that’s why I wanted to have or achieve my own definition of self love.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - For me, everyday. It is the generosity that I have on myself or the virtue that I have. I don't know why I always do it everyday, but when I was a child I learn how to treat people like this, that is because I feel better when I can make them feel it. I'm okay if it is not being admire or notice by the people that surrounds me, as long as I can make them feel it, I'm okay with that. Sometimes, it is being admire and that is also good to me. I don't wish to be notice on that good traits because it is okay for me to make them feel it than no one sees it and I always feel relieved because whenever I'm treating every person on that way, my day is complete even if they can’t bring it back or make me feel it.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - I think the two virtue that I need to work on or I need to improve is my honesty and prudence. All of us are definitely experience lying to something that you don't want to tell or to know by someone, that is why in our class we discussed when to lie, if it is just right to lie and if it is also appropriate to the situation. It is okay to lie, but in a good way like planning some surprise and not in a bad way like you're cheating, because the people that experience it will have a trust issues on you. For me, the best way to improve this and make sure that it will be part of me is to always put your perspective on the person you’re lying to and let yourself know what it feels like when you don’t know the truth. And last is my prudence, I want to improve it because I always do bad things. Whether with my family or my friends, sometimes I can really do bad things or sometimes I can say hurtful words. And the good way to improve it and be able to be part of myself is self-control, I need to control my emotions and feelings because sometimes it can result bad relationship on you family or friends. The one lesson that I learned on that is, I don’t want to get used to all that habits. I'm old enough to understand what is right or wrong and as I get older and older, I also need to make more and more improvements for myself.

Then I told her that I was acustomed showing the virtue of politeness or corteousness because our parents always remind us to be polite since when we are a kid. Everytime We had a conversation to someone whose older than us We should say 'po' and 'opo'. Also our parents trained us to kiss on them everytime we leave the house or everytime we came back home.

    - The last time someone complimented my virtue was when I was in third year college and a colleague asked me how I manage to not be stressed despite the fact that we are given so many tasks in school, while working, and still earn good grades. I work well under pressure, and if I have free time, I complete all of my schoolwork so that I am not overburdened with activities.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - Having a virtue is very important in our lives because it will help us grow into better versions of ourselves. Working on a virtue is the most difficult part since it is not just about having it, but also about exercising it. So, for me, I'll identify what I really need to work on about myself and improve it by choosing a good circle, a circle that will encourage you to improve yourself, a positive mindset, which, while difficult to maintain in these times, is very important to me because we all know that we face many challenges nowadays, and what you think is what you attract, so if you think positively, good aura will follow. Last but not least, you should strengthen your faith in God.

The last time that someone admired my virtue is when i was on my senior high day, my friends wants to know if she's being toxic to us and she want to know the truth so as her friend i tell her the truth because she wants to know about it and suddenly she says thank you to me because of my honesty even though it's hurt to heard the truth but its okay for the sake of yourself improvement.

If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you.
I think the virtue that I need to work on is my patience it because i easily feel uncomfortable or mood swings when someone or something do that not is right in my eyes or i heard something that not is fit to me, i easily feel annoyed in my surroundings. I want to work this because i know someday it will affect me especially in my work place and to the people who surrounds me. I will work for it as soon as i am young because when the day comes someone will need my help or someone who test my patient

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

When I was in my senior high school days, there are a lot of my classmates who admired my attitude that I'm very kind. But at that time I have many friends that never appreciate my kindness. But I never think about it as long there happy then I'm happy for them I always support them even sometimes they never support me. So that my classmate there observed me that my friends always abuse my kindness they say and give some advice for me that I never deserve to treat like this. There tell me if oky to stay away from them but I say I chose to stay for them because even though they do not always treat me well they are still my friends. No matter what happens.

2.If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

Forgiveness is a virtue that I want to practice or work on. Being forgiving is giving someone another chance after they have done something wrong. Everyone makes mistakes. Forgiveness is important to anyone because can be good for our health. The positive effect of forgiveness can only help you to heal if it's something wrong you choose.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
When I initially relocated to Quezon City, I couldn't help but show older citizens I knew respect, such as an honorable gesture and a "po and opo," as I put it. With this modest act of kindness, I hope to contribute to giving them what they deserve: respect. I am happy and glad at the same time because they deserve to feel respected since they confront numerous problems in life and face the realities of life. The other is when a buddy confides in me about a secret or a worry that they normally keep private and do not discuss with others. I'm glad to be here since I know my friends trust me and see me as one of their true friends.
    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
For me, the virtues that I need and desire to become a part of me are moderation and fairness. Because moderation allows me to regulate my addiction, which allows me to accomplish the things I'm meant to do. And justice, which will help me become more fair in everything, but first I need to understand the circumstance before i act.

I had worked hard on a presentation for our school report. Our teacher told me that he
was disappointed in the quality of the information I presented and that he is not that impressed.
I was surprised as I felt I had prepared well but I asked my teacher to go through the
presentation with me again and explain exactly what the problems were. He pointed out
outdated information and I realized that I had not used the most recent lessons
information in my preparation. I researched the updated information and asked if I could
rework things and prepare a new presentation for another reporting. He agreed. Once I had
sent the presentation, Our teacher admired me for being very pushy and my groupmates also admired me on that.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
I don't remember the exact date of the last time someone admired my virtue, and that virtue was being respectful. I give respect to every person that I have met regarding their status in life. Like when we have a meeting of my friends regarding something, I may not agree to their opinion, but I respect it. I consider their feelings why they came up with such an opinion. Also, their decisions in life. I may give some advice or not specifically advice but some consequences or the outcomes of their action, but I always remind them that they are still going to be the one who will decide in the end.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
The virtue that I think I should work on is courage. I lacked the strength to start something or do something because I always have a feeling that I'm doing it all wrong and it will just lead me into embarrassment.

-I don't recall all of the events at the time, but I recall that my colleague admired me for always helping people in need especially when there’s an to help others, because it breaks my heart to see others in a helpless situation. I jump right in and help them if I can. It makes me feel good on the inside to think about others.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
    - If I work on a virtue, I will do so genuinely, not just so people would say I have a virtue, but also because it comes from my heart. My virtue is sometimes influenced by my circumstances, as well as what people say. However, going forward, I will ensure that my virtue originates from my heart and that I work it with sincerity. Change is not terrible, and it is necessary for me to grow and develop as a person. Acceptance is the key to any changes that occur in my life. To practice my virtue, I must realize that I am not perfect; I have good and bad sides, but the good news is that I am always working to improve myself.

    • The most recent time that someone admired a virtue that I have was when a friend of mine was seeking help on a work that they need to do. No one knows me better than myself, that is why I always aim to understand my shortcomings as a person in order for me to improve myself on how I behave and act. Once I understand the reason, I can work on myself in incorporating the virtue that I need to all aspects of my life.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Last January 24, 2020, my birthday. We went to Sm North Edsa and I want to buy shoes for me. I saw this bag that caught my attention, im thinking that day, I want that bag, I want to have that bag, I want to buy it and take it home with me, but my money wasn't enough to buy it. I only came to mall for my shoes, my mother insisted that she would buy that for me because it's my birthday, and I said no. I told her that, I don't need that bag, I only want it because it's beautiful, it's nice, and it's popular that day. She said, okay then she touched my hair and smiled at me. Then we left the store, and continued to find what I'll buy, which is shoes. My mother admired my virtue, self control.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

Virtues are developed through learning and through practice. It is our attitudes, dispositions, or character traits that enable us to be and to act in ways that develop our potential. They enable us to pursue the ideals we have adopted. To make sure that it becomes a part of me is to follow a moral code which respects others, treats others with kindness and compassion, and is not engaging in corrupt, criminal or malicious actions. I will have high principles of conduct, language and communication. I must have knowledge, consciously choose the acts and choose for their own sake, and the choice must come from a firm character, in accordance to who I am. And I must consistently choose to do good acts deliberately for the right reasons.

One of my friends admires me for loving my family selflessly, how I want to provide what my family needs even if I am still a student. Especially now that my mom lost her job, I must do something as the eldest in the family. Currently, I am studying and working simultaneously. For me, it’s not just for responsibility, but I love how I make them happy and how I give all my best and effort to help them. It is okay for me to lose my pride and neglect all my wants to show them how I love them and am grateful for having a family. Not everyone is blessed to have a family, and so I value my family.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The last time someone admired my virtue was around a month ago. I think the virtues that they were admiring were patience and kindness specifically. The situation was that I had a friend who was constantly asking me for favors, yet because of my personal principles, I had never asked for anything in return. When I related this to my other friends because I eventually got tired and told my friend to avoid asking me for any more favors, they told me that it was high time that I did it and that I was too kind and patient towards my friend and that if it was them, they would have said no long ago. Upon reflecting, I agree that I have a hard time saying no when other people need my help.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

I believe in the concept that repeating actions again and again creates a habit. These habits collectively become behavior, and eventually becomes our character. Hence, if I had to work on a virtue to make it become a part of me, it starts with me consciously making an effort to practice that virtue. When it becomes a habit, I would still need to continue on practicing it until it becomes a part of my character, a part of me.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
I think they always admired my virtue everytime there are group activities or friends gathering and that virtue is being kind or considerate. I think that is the most virtue that people observed from me, because when it comes to group activities just like when I was in SHS I was assigned as the group leader in practical research and that time most of my groupmates were not very familiar on what we are going to do. So for me who had background knowledge about research I explained to them the things they should know and do while doing our research paper. They are greatfull for that I became their leader because they said that I am so kind and considerate even though sometimes they were "pabuhat" in the group. And they always say that I am small but terrible because we got the best in research in among other STEM students and I am very happy about it. And as to my friends they always take me as an "ate" in the group because I keep on taking care of them even though in some small aspects.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
Working on a virtue is not easy especially if it is not part of you. So, I think if I work on a virtue is that I should always consider the great effects of it in my life, how will it benefit me and other people. Have patience, accept it wholeheartedly, always minding the moral of our possessed character. Lastly, always practicing it because they said that "practice until it's perfect." It is because in the end it is not only me who will benefit from it but also the people whomever I am with and people so surrounds me in this society.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
In my honest view, I can't recall the last time someone complimented me on my ability to be open and honest to others. Every person I've met has always said that I'm very honest, which I believe is something I learned from my mother. I was already aware of the major challenges that my family faced when I was eight years old, and it was because my mother taught me to be transparent and open-minded, regardless of whether it was a good or bad thing. She won't even tell me about those crafted words only to keep up the pretense of being fine. As I grow older, I cherish this virtue because I believe that understanding the truth can help guide us in acquiring knowledge and becoming a better version of ourselves.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
I am the type of person that, if she wants to achieve something, will go to any length to do it. I recently read something about how we can achieve our objectives, and they stated that we should strive to achieve our goals at least once a week or once a month, so that at the end of the year, we will have at least accomplished our goals in a few days. I'll make sure that virtue becomes a part of me by aiming for it in my daily life so that it absorbs and becomes a part of me. I believe that practicing makes me a better person, not perfect, but someone who values virtue and aspire to live an ethical life.

During my tenure as a Customer Service Representative at MOA, I was last admired for the virtues I possessed. Among the virtues admired were humility, openness, and kindness. Despite how good I am at my job, she has observed that I never brag or flaunt about it and I help them each and every step of the way and encourage them to never lose faith in themselves. 1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Last October 25, my best friend whom I very rarely talk to, greeted me with a happy birthday and as the conversation went further, she opened up to me. She has a lot on her mind which gives her anxiety, makes her lose sleep and makes it harder for her to cope up with the incoming challenges. With that, she is very glad because she did not expect that I will be there, patiently waiting as she finishes to tell everything and kindly advise some words that she can use or apply to make herself feel better. This is me showing my love and care for her even though we have not seen and communicated with each other for a very long time. I value our friendship not based on how often we talk and hang out, instead, of our connection.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

In order to make sure a virtue becomes a part of me, first, I am going to research and investigate the nature of it. This will help me to understand the definition and value of this certain virtue. After that, I am going to practice it in every situation that I think can be applied. It might take a long time but making oneself familiar and not giving up, makes the reward much worthy. Finally, to know whether it has already become a part of me, I will ask some persons that are very close and know me for evaluation. If there are any particular changes in me or if I really portray that certain virtue. Through this, if it is even a slight good feedback, I will be very happy and continue doing things to nurture the virtue that I am working on.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
-Before the pandemic, usually when I go home from our school I have to ride a jeep for me to come home, then one night I encountered this one blind man walking in the same direction with me and that way to the station is not good at all, since there is only one station for all the jeeps traveling in our area, I saw him struggling walking and moving his stick like trying to figure out if there are obstructions on his way, what I did is that I asked him first if he needs help and I insisted on helping him because I know the man is having a hard time trying to figure out the direction so I held his hand and I put it on my shoulder because I don't want him to assume that I think he can't walk and that being a blind or PWD is a challenge at all I know they don't want that for us to think, they want us to think that they are okay and they can survive life like a normal person, so I walked with him, and I got this conversation with him that we are on the same area though we're not on the same neigbourhood, we lined up there with the other passengers, and we waited for the jeep, when the jeep came I assisted him inside I make sure that he sits where the exit is near and I told him that I will be sitting beside the driver so that the driver can hear our stop. Since then, I have always seen him, and I also helped him, later on, he became familiar with me, he usually asked where is my school, Am I doing well at school, or if I'm okay to the point that he always thanks me for my generosity and as a person who rarely sees good in her, it makes me cringe but then again my goal is to help him even in simple gestures, I know it means a lot to him, I also became aware that other blind people are working near the mall as a massager including him, that simple gesture became a good start to know and create a friendship with a stranger which makes me wonder now if he is doing well if he is still a massager. I don't mean to brag things but people saw me as a strong girl like a mean girl, but actually, I have a soft heart when it comes to other people, and even though I don't know them personally, it became my habit to try and help if I can every time I saw someone struggling, to understand and consider the welfare of others first before me. And as the eldest among my siblings, my father told me to act like and be matured all the time so I became a responsible human being every time and I have to be a disciplined person all the time to set as a good example to my siblings and to help them of course grow like that, most of my mama and papa's friends always say that when they have talks which makes me sometimes uncomfortable since I'm not used to it.

    2) If you need to work on virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
To make sure that it will become part of me, I have to be consistent in doing it and that I am pure with my intentions, also to make sure that I help and show kindness because I want t, not because I want other people's attentions thinking that it might save me a space in heaven, I just want to help I don't want to see other people struggling even though I know I can help, and what I'm always saying to myself that If I can then do it, we all know that we have different battles, I don't know if that person had a bad day, yet showing kindness and goodness on that person can change her day, I know it will sweep everything bad happened.

1.) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The last time I remember someone admired my virtue was when my best friend said to me that I am reliable and responsible in terms of my time and availability to my friends, my task in our church as an altar server, a committed student, and also my affection and helping attitude in my family. I'm delighted because someone noticed it at the same time, I'm overwhelmed by what he says and how he admires my character and the virtues that I am doing to them.

2.) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

Virtues are habits that we must acquire and practice in order to evolve and develop as an individual. Learning and embodying the desired virtue requires a lot of time and work. According to Aristotle, "If a person has obtained certain virtues, it will be reflected in their behavior." Simply trust the process and practice frequently and should I exercise my virtue carefully, wholeheartedly, and sincerely through interaction to ensure that it becomes a persistent part of my life.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - When I was in junior high school, my teachers and classmates admired how I creatively do my projects and reports, they compliment me for having nice work and being a hard-working student. My classmate also told me that I am kind because I help them if ever there are lessons or activities that they don’t fully understand. Though there are times that It affects my time to rest or do my things so sometimes I need to limit them, I'm glad that they understand and appreciate it.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - The most important thing to make sure that my virtue becomes part of me is to identify myself thoroughly and consult my friends and family about my trait. Sometimes other people seem to know me better than myself. There is also a webinar that will help me to know the things I needed to be aware of, and lastly to give time to myself to learn and slowly deal with the virtue I want to improve or change.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

This is not the most recent or the last time that someone admired my virtue, but this is the one that I'll never forget. During the first wave of the COVID-19, quarantines were strictly implemented, and some of the houses in the slums of Tondo got burned. I pitied those people because there's a virus, and they are out there in the evacuation centers with no social distancing because their houses got burned. Because of that, we made a donation drive, and we sought help from our friends and other people to help them. Some people donated by monetary, food, and used clothes. We gave it to them, and we were able to make a 2nd wave for our donation. I remember our friend, who was one of the victims, thanked us for our 'kindness .' The old lady, who was also a fire victim, thanked us cheerfully and said those admirable words to us when we gave her goods.
This virtue is humanity. I can proudly say that I have it in me because that was not the first time I helped others in need. I always participated in outreach activities wherein we always help those children in the slum areas, and we sometimes go to the facilities of the aged. And annually, we have this "Christmas Journey," wherein we would visit our beneficiaries to talk to them and help them through Christmas. It is so good in my heart to see those happy faces every time we're helping them.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

I believe that it is not easy to work on virtue to have it in yourself, but I think if I want virtue to become a part of me, I will focus on achieving it. I will try to do the things that will help me to have that virtue in me. Of course, I have to be consistent until I get to be used to doing this virtue and live my life with it.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - I had the virtue of compassion in my way of thinking and being a person who is spontaneously willing to act for the benefit of others, as well as the virtue of generosity, which is the act of showing something of yours to another person as an act of freewill, without obligation. I have two types of virtues in my life, and when someone tells me that he admires my virtues in my life, it makes me feel like I'm a different person than other people who have this kind of virtue. Having someone who admires my virtue helps me to feel like I am a person who binds people to ideals regardless of their ability to move closer to them, which can provide both satisfaction and frustration.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - Learning and practice help to develop virtues. People's personalities are deeply influenced as they grow and mature by the values that their communities value, the personality traits that their communities encourage, and the role models that their communities provide. It is not simply a matter of adhering to moral rules and learning how to apply them to specific situations. For me, virtues are attitudes, dispositions, or character traits that enable us to be and act in ways that develop this potential. They allow us to pursue the ideals we've chosen.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - About a week ago, a friend of mine told me that I am a very hardworking person. I tend to put a lot of effort into my own work, and I always make sure that it is more than enough to be considered as a good quality of work. My friend also added that I am a responsible kind of person. I always make sure that I do my tasks and responsibilities at all times. I always face my responsibilities head-on without any sign of retreat. Even though I am struggling in my studies, that there is a point I do not want to do my tasks, I still get motivated because I am always with my family. They are one of the many reasons on why I still keep on fighting. They are proud of me because I am a responsible person, and I know that they will support and believe me due to my own skills and capacity.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - If I want to work on a certain virtue, I need to put that virtue into practice. I should know how to live with it, and on how to become someone with that kind of virtue. I must not be some kind of person who do good deeds just to show off to other people. A person who does not have the truest intention and the clearest heart, will never attain the virtue that he/she wanted to portray. It is necessary to continuously put that virtue into practice, everyday and every moment possible. And as time comes, I will become the better version of myself, a version that has the virtue that I wanted, and the virtue that I deserved.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
    > I do not know when was the last time they admired my virtue but if so, my family and friends always says that they admire my commitment, because whenever I commit to something I never back down on my words and if I commit something I will not let it go until I accomplish it. I am sticking to what commitment I committed every time and if ever I lose track to what I promised to myself I always find ways to get back on track and do all of the things I love whole heartedly and never having any second thoughts. They also admire me when it comes to love because I have managed to perform the three greek words of love which is the Philia, Eros, and Agape, they can see that I can manage well of that in philia, I am not failing my friends to show my undying support and love for them. While in Eros I was admired by my friends because of the love I am giving to my past girlfriend because while I am in a relationship with my past girlfriend I 've performed the Agape which was the unconditional love, you might ask how come did I perform an unconditional act of love? Because not only her I have loved, I also loved and accepted his daughter even if it is not mine I loved them both without the assurance that some day her daughter might like or dislike me. In that act my friends truly admired my virtue in love.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
    > If ever I need to work on a virtue that will make my self become the best version, I think that would be the self discipline. Yes, I always stick to the words I commit, but I get easily distracted by the little things like entertainment, online games, social media and more, they sometimes become my distractions which can make me lose in track to what am I doing. So I think if I work more on that I can make myself more focus on the goal and become better than my yesterday's self. And by that I can assure to myself that my virtue will become a part of my life now and everything else will follow accordingly.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
    - Honestly, for me, I don’t think or I didn’t know someone admired my virtue towards them but I'm sure of myself that I show them kindness, fairness and forgiveness. In kindness for example, doing good deeds and favors for others also as assisting and caring for them. Fairness that I show to them is like threating all of my friends the same and not letting one feeling bias also giving every one of my friends a fair chance. Lastly is forgiveness, I always forgive that easily to my friends that who have done wrong to me . When they apologize, I accept it and give them a second chance.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
    - I need to work on my Judgement and Open-mindedness. First of all I should start not jumping in to conclusion that fast. I need to think and examine that one particular scenario or situation before I judge them. I need to look for evidences to change my mind and weighing all evidence fairly. With this virtue as a part of me, it could change my life and start a healthier mindset.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The last time that I remember where someone admired my virtue, specifically being courageous are my friends. We always have this little chit-chat where we talk about how is life going and the usual simple greeting. Then in the middle of our chat, she said to me that " you always tried even though you are scared of something, like trying to go to a particular place where you are not familiar, asking questions to people, especially if you really don't know what this topic is all about or what is the meaning of this and that, and you trying new things especially when curiosity hits you." To be honest, I really don't know if courage fits me, or maybe I'm just an inquisitive person who sometimes makes me want to try things to understand what it feels like or to know what it is like in that particular situation. But if that description of me is true than I would gladly accept that kind of virtue.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

For me, in order for that virtue to be a part of me, I need to practice it, or I need something to do it in some way where I can always use it and remember it. For example, the virtue that I really want to work on is self-control. Since I'm the kind of person that has no self-control when it comes to emotion and food, I need to think of something that can be a consequence that might happen to me if I don't have self-control, like overeating might cause obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. or letting my emotion take over me might hurt some in terms of physical or emotional. I'm still trying to work on my virtue, and being consistent is very hard when trying to get or retain it.

The last time that someone admired my virtue happened just months ago. It is the time when I showed kindness and generosity. First was during my summer job as a bagger in a grocery store. I consider myself as a kind person because I treated every customer with respect and I also did my best to serve them. Another instance when i became generous was when I gave tip to people especially to the person in the gasoline station who also helped me to put the exact tire pressure for my motorcycle.

Last Saturday we had an exam in a certain subject and I took that exam on our church because we had practice. Then, while I was reviewing my notes my churchmates were joking about them telling the answers to me and such but it was only a joke. I refused and one of my churchmates told me that it is right because it is a form of integrity. Although they were joking they knew the right thing and I was commended even though were joking around. Being honest in that way will help us have our own standards on ourselves because what we do know can reflect when we get a job in the future.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
I need to become aware of myself and learn it through practice. At first, it will be difficult because we will be tested and through it we will be able to practice it, that's why becoming aware of ourselves is significant. In order for a certain virtue to become part of our lives we need accept our wrongness and embrace the truth. Because through our experiences we tend to learn more and realize things in life that will help mold and shape us.

    Answer:
If I go backtrack my behavior and reminisce the time someone admired my virtue is when we had a research way back, Senior High School, I remember we have to submit our paper within 1 week so our group will be subject for defense. That is the research final project in one of our major subjects so I tried my best to finish that, I worked round the clock for the paper only to being unable to show up on time on the day of our defense, the call time is 9:00 AM but I show up 12:00 PM the same day. It is very shameful for me to show up late but a smile show up my lips when they sent me the good news that the defense has been done without my presence. I am genuinely happy as they are that day. Days have passed and the compliments for a job well done was given to one of my groupmate because of the defense without them knowing that I am the one who worked for that but they didn't heard any word from me and by that, one of my classmate pat my back saying, "Unrecognize achievements is still an achievement".

I think the virtue admired by someone to me is that the hard work I show on the game of Basketball, and you’ll be asking why. There’s this time in my junior high school that I fell in love with basketball and I dream of becoming a player of our school or being a varsity then to show that I am willing to work hard that any other people in the court, I always show up 2 hours before our practice and the said time is 6am and I’ll be there at 4 or 4:30 and I will always be covered in sweat before our stretching and actual training. Then one time our coach show up 2 hours before said time to know if who is late or not late. With a shock on his face he greeted me and ask why am I there, I said I always do that and I run and shoot many baskets before our actual training and through that I was selected by our coach to represent our school that time.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
    - My parents have always taught me that no matter who else is introduced to us, we should treat them with respect, whether they are old or young, since I was a child. Besides this, I recall handing a test paper in the faculty room while I was in high school, and there was a teacher from a higher grade who recognized me. She told his other colleagues that whenever she saw me, I always greeted her with a vow. So I'm surprised that simply showing respect might encourage someone to notice and remember my approaches. And somehow, in my opinion, merely giving respect to our fellow human beings makes them feel relieved, because who knows if that person is having a bad day were experiencing difficulties, but when you greet them or smile at them, it makes them feel better.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
    - In terms of practical matters, I'd like to improve my prudent self by being more careful with my choices and stopping and thinking before acting. Virtues, as they say, are formed by study and practice, and a virtue is something that is innate in everyone of us. However, in order for it to truly become a part of me, it must be applied in every decisions I make in my life, with great carefulness and consideration as a morally responsible person.

I still helped them even though I was struggling and that was okay for me. I did not asked anything in return because I’m doing it for them, I’m not doing it to satisfy myself so I could see the good in me, as for me, I really wanted to help the best way I can even though I’m struggling.

Last week was the last time someone admired my virtues. I posted a picture of my house plan on my social media account and many reacted and praised my work. Many also said that they were proud of me because, even though I went through some breakdowns, I continued with what I was doing, especially with my studies. Someone also said that I was hardworking and especially very caring and understanding, maybe because they know that even though I have a problem, I still think ahead of others than myself. I still care about others than me because I prefer to help others even when I'm having a hard time. It makes me happy whenever another person tells me something like that, because I feel valued.

She's not the only one who said that to me, they keep saying "Ang bait mo" even though I don't know the reason. Maybe because they saw me helping others even in a small thing. I'm really flattered when someone appreciate my virtue.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
The virtue that I want to work is courage because it requires courage to expose ourselves, try something new, change paths, take a risk, let go of an attachment, have a difficult conversation, and trust yourself. Without courage, we are impotent. Because we know what we want to do or what we need to achieve, but we lack the courage to act on it. We take the easy way out, the path of least effort. It may seem comfortable today, but it will not make us happy in the long run.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The last time I remembered somebody admired my virtue was also the time I got nagged for having it. I tend to have a knack for putting others first because I don't want to give them a hard time. I always try to acknowledge people's different perceptions because it will help me understand and empathize with them. When I had a conversation with a friend, he told me how he admired my empathic side but knew that sometimes it takes a toll on me. Regardless of the latter remark, I felt overwhelmed that being considerate is one of the things they liked about me. For me, I always thought that empathy enables you to act with sincerity and kindness.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

It would be hard to work on a virtue you initially didn't have because there would be adjustments on how you act in certain situations. Despite that, it will still be a good thing and will improve your whole personality. Inculcating the virtue that you want to possess should be manifested by you, as well. Consistency in practicing that virtue genuinely will eventually become part of you.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The last time I was praised is when I stood up for my workmate who are being wronged.
One of my virtues that was truly admired by someone was my humanity. I as a person, I really love the meaning of love and the kindness that I can bring or show to people that surrounds me and that includes the help that I can offer that I have when it comes to socializing to people.

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes part of you?

As a person who is in her 20's if I we're to be honest, I really need to work on my Moderation and that includes everything especially forgiveness, these days it's not that easy to forgive but if you we're to think outside the box I think everything can be worked out and these past few years I've been doing my best to achieve and work on that specific virtue but other than that I can say that I'm growing and growth is one thing that any people should do.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
It was only lately that I overheard my mother conversing with my sister about how much she appreciated my virtue. Being emphatic was identified as a particular virtue. I recall going to Manila to acquire some school paperwork, and someone asked for aid (money) for a bus ride, which I gave her, and it was not the first time. When I do something decent or kind for someone who needs assistance and I can help then I do help them, it makes me feel good that I can at least offer them to ease their problem. I don't think it matters whether they're lying or not.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If I need to work on a virtue, the first thing I need to do is develop a healthy mentality so that when a circumstance arises, the first thought that comes to mind is, can I help them? What can I do to help? And in that way of thinking, instead of questioning someone, the first question is, "Am I capable of helping at this time?" In this way, it becomes a part of you over time; all we need is a firm thinking and, of course, a heart willing to be kind without conditions.

    - The last time someone admired my virtue is last sunday I think, when we are having youth fellowship and we have a new comer. the first time I saw her I immediately approach her and encourage her to join our group. then before the fellowship ends she approaches me and said thank you for showing her some true kindness and cheerfulness, and that she is happy that more people can still be so cheerful and kind as me and in that moment I just feel so happy that their are still people who will see the virtue in you. even though some people can only see you bad side.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - For me I think I need to practice first me trusting again other people, and to forgive myself because you can only work on a virtue if you first start to work on yourself, you have to make it possible in order to make yourself ready to work on your virtue.

    1. The last time someone admired my virtue was during a time when many challenges came into my life. Schoolwork, financial problems, personal problems, and the impact of this pandemic affect me so much, but I always choose to focus on the brighter side of our lives, and part of a positive attitude is allowing others to love you and show you affection. That was the time when one of my friends admired me for being a positive thinker.

    2. I will maintain my positive mindset because I know that there are many challenges that will surely try to challenge me and personally, I disagree with the term "YOLO," but I like the concept of it because, for me, we live every day, but we only die once, so live your life to the fullest and as much as possible, do not attract any negative vibes.

1.When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

Last month we had fun, my childhood friends, we came together again and we talked about life. Of the four of us, she is the only one who doesn't study anymore because of the hardships of life and lack of money and also, we talked about our dreams someday. She is envy because she is ashamed to communicate with us because we are still studying and reached college, she's lowering herself because she's only in senior high and hasn't finished yet. So as a childhood friend, I advised her that the education is not a measure, so don't take her heart away from us and don't think that her future is not good because she won't be able to finish her studies. I also said that everyone has the right time and season, if she doesn't have the time now it will come too. Don't be bored we will all advance in life as long as we work hard, persevere and be contented with what we have now, the time will also come that everything we want to achieved.

2.If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

For me to be sure that virtue will become a part of my life, I need to practice myself more to become nature for me. So that I can help my Family, Friends and to the people who surround me not because of money but by giving advice and motivating them to fight for life.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - The last time I noticed someone admired my virtue is just few weeks or months ago. My friend and I are constantly having a conversation about our relationships because we've been in a common situation where we're given a choices to let go of the person we loved and how he and I handles things in our own relationships. he mentioned that he was amazed on how I stand and fight for to keep my relationship with my girlfriend (soon to be wife). and I also keep telling him that "if I'm gonna let others to decide for my life, I'm afraid I'll end up being an unethical individual and easily swayed. Being patient and not bursting out was mentioned in our conversation because in our environment there's a lot of people who are willing to get in your way like they are testing us to see if how we're going to react in situations where it feels like we are standing on a cliff and if we respond negatively this people will somehow judge us but of course they'll deny it. Honestly this kind of people are annoying but I think being a Christian helps us especially me how to handle my emotions whenever things get shaky. I will always be patient in whatever the situation is as long as no body was being involved but if things get out of hand I'll just have to make them realize what they're doing in a positive way.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

    - If I will on a virtue to be part of me, I think it would be being more observant to people. before I am a kind of person who are easily giving his trust to people especially if this people are very close to my heart. but for the past years I started to see and realize that this people whom I trust without doubt is a type of individuals that I should not trust. that's why I developed trust issues this past few months and I literally see how they exploit what i have just to give them what they need. that's why I want to develop and strengthen how I observe people and also their intentions so that no one can use me for their convenience. (in the middle of my situation where I feel like being betrayed I created a dance choreography where I used the song "Pakinabang by Ex Batallion" and I just express what I feel in the choreography and it really helps me to stand where I fall, it became an outlet for me to let my emotions off without hurting anybody and I hope I will be able up upload it on my account and share it to others because I know that I'm not the only one who sits on situation like I've been through)

I always remember special events of my friends and people that are close to me maybe because of what I've been experienced when I was young, one time, my family did not remember my birthday until the next day and I don't want to feel every people around me what I felt that day. Almost everyday my partner always admire my virtues.

I believe I will continue to practice that particular virtue in a variety of scenarios in order for it to become established in my personality, since when you do something over and over again, it becomes a habit and part of your daily routine. - The last time someone admired my virtue was from a stranger. I can still remember their face reactions that time and it felt fascinating. Way back, when I was in my lower years in high school, there was an unexpected situation concerning my father's salary. At that time, I was a kid who didn't even know the worth of education. And for that reason, I needed to stop my education in my second year. These happenings awake my maturity I see what I am missing. At that very moment after, a year of being at my house doing nothing. My aunt asked me If I wanted to continue my studies, and I said yes. She said if that's the case, then I will provide for your education until your parent fix the issue on my fathers' salary. My cousin and I talk out of nowhere and discuss. This coming year, I told them that we need to change and become a more responsible student, and let's try to be on top in this coming school year. Fortunately, my words became actions and became a top 1 in my class consistently from grade 8 to grade 10 and graduated my senior high with high honor. As for my cousin, they all excel in their studies like me. My cousins admired me for encouraging them to be better. As for today, they still carry that virtue that there is no impossible when you believe in yourself.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?
My parents are the last persons who have admired me; they are grateful to me for my perseverance and hard work in helping them pay our expenses. Even though I am still a student, I insisted on getting a part-time job to help them with our financial obligations and to buy things I want without having to ask them for money.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
I want the virtue of fearlessness to be a part of me so, in order to incorporate that virtue in myself, I should always see my environment through a different perspective and concentrate on what is beautiful and valuable instead of worrying about things that might go wrong in the future. It is the best thing to do in order to adopt what virtue you want to have to yourself.

    1. When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

I think it was when I was tending for people with their lives and leading them to Christ. Back when I was a so-called "Cell Leader" or someone who is in-charge of a certain group, I was helping them with their school, their finances, even in their family matters. So they thanked me and was very grateful for what I did for them.
I think care and generosity is the specific term for this virtue.

    2. If you need to work on virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

I think, in order for something to become a part of my life, I need to do it consistently on a daily basis. I believe that regularity is the key to create a lifestyle out of something. I just have to do it everyday.

    Answer:

    2. If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
    Answer:
A continuous practice of everything will make it part of you. In order to make it, you should embrace yourself and know what you are capable of doing to make sure that you are genuinely embracing that thing. Because at the end of it all, the thing that you practice when you are just faking it will never be in your part of your system.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

The last time someone admired me is when I shared my blessings to my friends and family. Every time I treat them with food or go somewhere else, they always thank me for having a great time. I also give financial support to my relatives in Batangas and that was the time my family admired me because of having a generous heart. My friends also thank me for being supportive, kind, and thoughtful to them. People thank me for being helpful without asking in return because I knew the feeling when you have nothing.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

If I need to work on a virtue, I think I should have perseverance and dedication to apply it to my everyday life. I need to practice virtue with all my heart and with all my mind. If I need to work on a virtue, I need to accept myself first and love myself first so that I can accept and love the people around me as well.

    1) When was the last time someone admired your virtue and what specific virtue was observed?

    - The last time someone admire my virtue is last month. When my neighbor suddenly had a mild stroke and they are finding a way to bring him to a near hospital but luckily I am the one who is present in the area and has a vehicle. I volunteer to bring him there and we arrive early because I turn on the hazard and horn many times. After we bring him to the Emergency Room they offer me money but I denied it because I am willing to help people voluntarily without money so they are happy about it and thank me so much for it.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.
In this era that I live, I think that the virtue is already in me because I am doing good things on my own without guidance and hesitations. I make decisions on my own and moving all by myself. Also I discovered that if we do good things and avoiding bad things you will have blessings later on that I’ve really experienced during the years because on the golden rule “do things that you want to happen to you.” I am really following this rule while having a smile on my face everytime good things happen to me.

when I was going home from school, the jeep will arrive if already occupy the sits and Im the one who will complete the sits but behind me there is a pregnant lady , so Idecided to go her first and wait for a next jeep and just for a word "thank you" I smile and relieved and those people in jeep also give thanks, with that I was totally relive and grow my virtue.
especially in terms of patience, because patience is a virtue.

    2) If you need to work on a virtue, what will you do to make sure it becomes a part of you? Explain.

In no.1 question I'd said that patient is a virtue but still now I must grow my virtue in term of waiting or patience because sometimes I become impatient maybe because of works and activities I should pass on time.
and maybe because time is the most important to me that's why sometimes I became impatient.
I believe I should exercise my patience in every day of my life.
