Code of Ethics
I. Introduction
Every organization has a code of ethics. The Philippines as a sovereign state has the Constitution as the foundational of its legal and organizational framework of understanding government.
The church has a statement of faith or doctrines but how about a code of ethics for leaders, members and other units of the organization.
II. Activity
1) How can a code of ethics for Christian believers be created? Explain.
2) In a separation of Church and State, can a transcendent code of ethics be considered? Explain.
3) How can a person be intentional in compliance with an ethical code?

Answer:
For me by keeping and obeying the law of God as showing the highly respected to our Lord as believers second in the law of our nations
2) In a separation of Church and State, can a transcendent code of ethics be considered? Explain.
Answer:
Yes, especially as Christian, a transcendent code of ethics is considered because for me It should not be a separate code of ethics of state. It is empowered by the above or contradicted because the God of the Most High is the source of all things. We as believers believe that Our God is a primary source of our ethics.
3) How can a person be intentional in compliance with an ethical code?
No matter what happen as person and live this nation we need to obey what is right under of code ethics we need to follow intentionally because we are a people and citizens of this nation.

ReplyDelete•The standard of moral code of Christian believers is the bible. Whatever things, that God has declared, its where they always base their actions and decisions. What bible agrees with, is what Christians should believe and apply.

•Yes, it can be considered because ethical codes are made just to guide people in their actions, to guide everyone in everything they do. It has no other reason but to help us decide and be good in performing task.

•As long as the code's foundation are truth and trust, people will let themselves abide with this ethical code. People will follow an ethical code if they sees it as helpful and brings only good.

ReplyDeleteCode of ethics for Christian believers will be created through applying all the good things he learned from the bible, especially the teaching of our Lord Jesus Christ about our love for God, doing everything that pleasing to Him, and how we will treat or love other people like how we love ourselves.

For me yes, because code of ethics guide and help us to choose the right thing to do in different situations of our life. As long it will bring good things, transcendent Code of ethics can be considered.

A person can be intentional in compliance with an ethical code, if he are interested on it, and if the person value his values and ethical views in a particular situations and in everything he does, if he also sensitive about the outcome of his actions and decisions.
1. The code of ethics for Christian believers should be created according to what the Bible says. All the things that we should be doing is stated in the Bible, it is our basis, and we should do and apply it everyday and in every aspect of our lives.
ReplyDelete2. Yes, because code of ethics guide people of what is the right thing to do, and guides them in every actions and decisions they make. We are free to do everything we want as long as it is for the better and it won't hurt other people.

1. Christians do not merely establish a code of ethics based on the knowledge they or their spiritual leaders have, but rather they always depend on the ultimate authority which is the Bible. Every word that comes from it is powerful and authoritative, guiding people to make better decisions and act following the Will of the Lord. The things written in the Bible have no other intention but for the betterment of everyone.
ReplyDelete2. The separation of Church and State has been a big issue since then. But I guess, the transcendent code of ethics can be considered. Ethical codes are made to make things in order and enable people to learn to abide by what is right and moral. They should be aware that when they violate such code they may confront multiple and serious consequences.
3. People are mindful that the code of ethics is made for the welfare of every individual and once they transgress it they would receive consequences. When the importance of the code of ethics has been instilled in people's minds, it would be easier for them to adhere to it. Everyone should be willful in compliance with the ethical code.

ReplyDelete- for me it can be created by based on the Bible law, because if an Christian code of ethics are not base on the Bible but based on the law of Earth it is not considered a good code of ethics for me because I know that the best is from based on the Bible.

- for me it can be considered, if the code of ethics of an organization is to maintain the goodness of a person or to correct the manner of a person, but if there's a code of ethics that are not good for the people and it can harm the dignity of a person it is not considered for me.

- they can compliance with an ethical code by doing his/her job and not skipping any of his/her responsibility in their workplace.

ReplyDeletefor me we need to follow the commandments of God although that man has free will .. when we say code of ethics for Christian believers we need to be aligned, once we are not aligned that is not the code of ethics of God because of disobedience. so we need to see and apply in our lives the code of ethics that came from God.

-Many people remember that the code of ethics is made for the benefit of every individual and once they violate it they will receive consequences. When the importance of a code of ethics is instilled in people’s minds, it is easier for them to abide by it. Everyone must deliberately adhere to the ethical code.

As Christians we follow what the Lord tells us to do. Obeying his words through the path of living righteously.

Yes. People act accordingly on their own moral decisions knowing the consequences of their chosen path in doing what is right and wrong.
3) How can a person be intentional in compliance with an ethical code?
People are intentionally complying code of ethics knowing that it would benefit them fo a better and a peaceful society.
For example, throwing grabages in trashcans. There is a law called anti littering law. It is a proper way of throwing your garbage on the right place and it is inside the trashcans. This keeps your environment clean and free from garbages on your way and also from dirts.
