Moral Agents
I. Introduction to Moral Agents
Moral Agents can be defined to those who have freedom and rational capacity to be responsible for their choices. This technically includes adults with a sound mind. However, it might excluded people like children and other people that have mental difficulties.
Moral agents infer that people have moral standing. Moral standing deals with the values of ethical positions that could be situational and culturally binding.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
ReplyDeleteMoral agents are defined as beings or a person that has the ability to distinguish what is right and wrong and can be held accountable to his/her actions. Robots are machines programmed and built by a person who is a moral agent. Meaning robot's can be manipulated, whatever a robot does the person who built will always be the one who will be held accountable. Hence, a robot is just a machine, it can never act on its own without the manipulation of a person. Robots will never be moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
The equity of life suggests that we give people base on what they need. And people's needs are different from each other. Meaning some people might need less food some might need more food. Equity helps those who need more to develop their standing in the society.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
-Based on what i have watched and in real life, robots or androids cannot
be moral agents since they cannot process emotions properly, they may
develop and learn from a human but decisions from them are still made
from 0s and 1s that they cannot distinguish what is right or wrong. From
the clips, the robots or synths can adapt for the humans as they learn
and process actions and emotions of a human but having a moral values
is far from possible for them.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-Equity of life gives the people what they want and what they need that
differs from every other people that we can call fairness in the society.
However, the consequences of this is that some people never learn to be
contented and they envy other people with what they don't need because
they wanted to be treated equally and not through equity.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
- According to the research of John P. Sullins, Robots are moral agents when there is a reasonable level of abstraction under which we must grant that the machine has autonomous intentions and responsibilities. If the robot can be seen as autonomous from many points of view, then the machine is a robust moral agent, possibly approaching or exceeding the moral status of human beings. Thus it is certain that if we pursue this technology, then future highly complex interactive robots will be moral agents with the corresponding rights and responsibilities, but even the modest robots of today can be seen to be moral agents of a sort under certain, but not all, levels of abstraction and are deserving of moral consideration.
In short can’t be considered as moral agents some of them they could but some of them cannot be because robots/android don’t have emotions they react only on what they see but they cannot really feel the pain sadness happy just like a human.
2. What are the consequence about the equity of life as we know it today?
- According to SGBA e-Learning Resource, Equity, as we have seen, involves trying to understand and give people what they need to enjoy full, healthy lives. Equality, in contrast, aims to ensure that everyone gets the same things in order to enjoy full, healthy lives. Like equity, equality aims to promote fairness and justice, but it can only work if everyone starts from the same place and needs the same things.
For me the consequence today about equity is not fair because not all people is mentally and physically healthy because of pandemic some of them is totally tired exhausted and lack of confidence to fight this pandemic. If I will rate it 60% is not healthy physically and mentally. The 40% is rising up and fighting this pandemic. I hope after this pandemic the 60% that I rate will go down, and the people will pe on peace and happy.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
-- Robots/AI learn things according to what they see. Having the moral capacity depends on what we learned before, it may be physical, emotional, or a intellectual experiences. Being a moral agent is knowing what is right and wrong. Robots can be controlled by its software, clearly they are dependent on the software that created them. One simple changes can change their whole decisions and perspective of what is wrong and right. Robots, for now, cannot be moral agents.
2. What are the consequence about the equity of life as we know it today?
--Equity means that everyone gets what they deserve. The concept of equity in life can be a positive reinforcement to help each other. Equity can be unfair if one does not do his/her role. The community is carrying each others burden in order to create a fair society. Some may take advantage of this.

-Based on the movie yes, the robots are cable of engaging to moral behaviors. Specially at the later stages of the movie, where we can see how these robots form their own consciousness only from interacting with the people and the outside world. However, unlike humans whos principles are derived from code of conduct, religion , culture, or just their personal preference in how they approach the world, the androids/robots moral behaviors are shaped and only based on ethical theories such as teological ethics, deontology, virtue ethics and basic human interaction.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
-No. Moral agent can be defined as a person who has the ability to distinguish right from wrong and be held accountable for his/her own actions. With the technology of artificial intelligence today, it would be no surprise if robots will be able to know whether an action is right or wrong. But that does not mean that a robot can be considered a moral agent. That is due to the fact that the robot may be able to know whether it is right or wrong with the help of the data that is stored in the robot's memory. He wasn't able to arrive at that conclusion based on his morality but rather from the things it know. The robot cannot be even held as accountable for its decision as they were all just a data from another human, and not really his own.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-Equity means giving the people what they need based on their standing or situation in life. Although it may seem like a good way to attend to the needs of the people, we could not really guarantee a fair outcome. Some people may take advantage of this in order to have more for themselves. What we should actually do is find out what the root of the problem is, like what is the cause of this kind of situation to be able to secure a fair outcome for everyone.

1. Can Robots/ Androids be moral agents?
- On our current pace in building AI and technology. Incorporating such complicated such morality to a robot will be difficult. Though if such perfected AI are indeed implemented, being moral agents can be closer to reality but will also take time in process. For example, an AI booting up the first time will be much intelligent than most of us but their practical knowledge is the as a toddler. Their emotional or their instinct to guide them with right and wrong is all base on our concept with what is right and wrong. So it would be very difficult for them to change that concept for it is program for them to do what they are programmed to do. In situations of a moral dilemma, AI would possible do some horrifying things for us, for they lack the empathy and the soul to feel the lives of us human beings. But in positive insight we humans are also programmed to do things. The only thing that we differ in robots or AI right now is values and experience we learned along the way. Surely a perfected AI could adapt to their experience their way. But in our reality. Robots, androids or AI cannot be moral agents for we lack the materials to make them capable.
2.What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is giving everyone what they or deserve and it is not a matter of equality but on promoting the better of the economy as a whole. But, equity can backfire to individuals that are lazy beings. For they too will be given the same privilege as the others or even more. In a sense a equity is bad for us humans, specially individuals who cant control their jealousy and greed. For most of us want it all.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
-A moral agent is any person or collective entity with the capacity to exercise moral agency. It is suggested that rational thought and deliberation are prerequisite skills for any agent. In this way, moral agents can discern between right and wrong and be held accountable for the consequences of their actions. Based on this definition of moral agent, robots / androids cannot be accounted for being a moral agent, because they're like a computer only programmed by the developer to do it's main purpose. However technologies around in this era, are powerful that people are now studying on how to give consciousness on robots, it's what we called AI, if somehow scientist, developers managed to create a way to give consciousness to robots, then it might happen that they can be a moral agent also.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-In my opinion, first and foremost, In today's generation, equity is widely present on different parts of the globe, in some cases it is happening in every country known. So what are the consequences about equity of life. The consequences of it is that, many people will rely on equality than equity, because equality will guarantee everyone's needs while equity can only give the needs of the people who actually worth of it. So the problem is that people who are benefitting of the help from equity is increasing that, there are more people taking than giving the benefits. An example of this is that, the increasing of poor household and hunger on some cities, they are getting all the benefits that they need, while they are benefitting from it, the families that can supplement their own needs, the families that have reliable income, little or less benefitting from it because they can pay for it, those families wanted to experience the benefits of their own income taxes, that are used on paying hospital bills for the poor. Again please don't hate me this is my opinion only based on the context.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Yes, because there intelligence and morality are on par or maybe greater with the humans. They know what is right from wrong. They know if their actions will harm other people and other robots. Advanced robots with emotions could have a consciousness and can understand human beings, with the technology from the movie, it can be possible for robots to develop emotions, thus they can be considered moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
The life of the people will be misleading. Robots with supreme intelligence could disrupt the world with their own selfish desires. Some people might fall in love with a robot and be betrayed, or in general robots may betray humans which will lead to a disaster for human race. Robots might take over the human beings.

1. Can Robots/ Androids be moral agents?
Moral agents are beings that are capable of identifying and differentiating the right and wrong and being able to take responsibility/be accountable for their own actions. Robots/Androids are artificially made intelligence by humans, and their knowledge about this world are all created and modified by humans as well. They would be able to identify the rights and wrong, yes, but these doesn't mean it's what they would decide through a moral mind, but rather what was dictated to the knowledge given to them, it is indicated by information alone. Due to this, we can say that Robots/Androids are not moral agents because they don't decide things through a moral mindset but rather to just what they are programmed to know, an information given by another human. They cannot be accountable to their actions in this case.
However, with how technology advances, perhaps a sentient AI isn't too far in the future--
2.What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is a way of giving someone what they need in order to be on the same life as others. This may sound like generally a good way to balance how society may work, however this is not really helping a person as a whole, but rather the community's economy or reputation. It can have drawbacks, as people can take a massive advantage to this because they would be given the same privilege as other people who's hard working to get to their level, while some would just play lazy or be manipulative without much effort. This would show a great unfairness to a lot of people, especially those who worked hard and carefully to get to their lives, and some will be controlled by laziness, jealousy, greed or even anger cause of it which rather rips the community apart rather than helping it develop all together.
Equity is indeed a good thing, and for what it is, a lot of people would want to have it.

No, Moral agent may defined as someone who has the potential to differentiate proper from incorrect and be held responsible for his/her very own movements. With the era of synthetic intelligence today, it'd be no surprise if robots may be able to realize whether or not an motion is proper or wrong. But that does not suggest that a robot may be considered a moral agent. That is because of the truth that the robotic can be able to recognize whether or not it's miles right or wrong with the help of the data that is stored inside the robotics reminiscence. The robot can always be controlled and the person built it will be the one responsible.
2.What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
As I see it, equity is broadly present on different parts of the globe, in some cases it's miles happening in each country. Acknowledged. So what are the effects about equity of lifestyles. The results of it's far that, many human beings will rely upon equality than fairness, because equality will guarantee everyone's desires even as equity can most effective supply the desires of the individuals who truly well worth of it. So the trouble is that those who are benefitting of the help from fairness is increasing that, there are greater humans taking than giving the benefits. In addition equity is giving anyone what they or deserve and it isn't always a remember of equality but on selling the higher of the economy as an entire.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
- My answer is no. Technological advancement keeps thriving as the human thinking never gets satisfied, even to the point of creating what could become its rival. But to think of robots as moral agents is another question. Morality is the capability to think what is right from wrong and to choose what could be the best choice. "Thinking" alone creates the question mark. Robots do not think rather they follow what is programmed. Humans are still the source of whatever "morality" they contain as we are their programmers. But when the time comes immorality reigns supreme, this is when robots can be our last hope of morals. But I do not think that can be possible. If humans are the robot programmers, they will also use technology in the evils they might do.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- The consequences of life's equity is that it is still far from fulfillment. Living in generality has never yet reached its peak of being at best. Disederata's line "there will be always greater and lesser persons than yourself" seems to say it all. The world runs in the imbalance of factors. The "ultimate equality" continues to be a dream. If ever it becomes reality, how it will run is still a question.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
I dont think that robots can be a moral agent because they are programmed. They can be manipulated for certain functions that a builder wanted or specified. Thus robot can't decide on their own. The one who is accountable for the actions that the robot does is the programmer/builder because he/she customizes how the robot will perform.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is the system of providing someone what he/she deserves based on his/her situation or standing. One of the consequences that equity can raise is unfairness. Some people will be dependent on this system to gain things or goals that they did'nt worked hard for. This will be unfair to those people who strived hard to achieve the stage they currently in.

According to the video, Moral agents have a moral responsibility not to cause unjustified harm. Also, moral agency is assigned only to those who can be held responsible for their actions. I don't think that robots could be a moral agent because they are not human. They just have artificial intelligence and already programmed. Robots can be manipulated by people. They are different from humans that can understand and doesn't have emotions.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity of life is all about giving the needs of individuals according to their needs. Every individual have different needs to live. I think one of the consequences of this is that sometimes, people envy each other because they do not have what other people have. They want all the things that they think is necessary for them. Some people are not contented in what they have.

Absolutely not. Even in the fictional world of the series presented in the video. Even with all the technology they have. There is no line of codes that will output what makes us humans distinct from robots/androids. Moral agents' decisions can never be based on ones and zeroes. Androids will always be limited by their code and can never go beyond it unlike us humans, we build the foundation of our decisions with our hearts and mind and knows no limits.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is still fiction as of today because of its most well-known consequence which is the unfairness to each and every person under it. Everyone is unique to their own and it also goes for the things in our lives. What I am trying to say is, people will always envy people. People will only be satisfied if it will have a bigger portion of what it has at the moment.

Yes, Because i think in the future, Humans can code or produce a program that will make a robot distinguish if the act he will do is right or wrong, and if it will harm others. For some reason, many don't likely to push this concept because they are afraid that robot will harm human.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
I see it in the career or path we choose. Equity gives what people need. However, Luck and hardwork makes impact also. Equity can be unfair if someone does not do his role, He just want to receive without doing anything.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
Robotics technology is advancing rapidly that they can take over most jobs but not in a way that they can be moral agents, so my answer is no. Robots/androids can’t be moral agents because they are programmed in a way that they only do what they told so. Robots cannot think and are lack of emotional function within themselves. They may be able to make choices based on the data that is available to them, however, that it is very different from what is meant by a judgment and ability to perceive what's right from wrong where they are based on values, and values are learned from life experience. Thus, it contradicts to what a moral agent is.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity, based on what I’ve researched involves trying to understand and give people what they need to enjoy full and healthy lives. Moreover, it refers to fairness, where there is an even-handed treatment of all the people. The only drawback I can see with equity is that having to share what you have or having to perform the same function without any variation among authority with others could lead to some tension and even conflict if there are differences between visions and opinions because there are no elevated roles, duties or responsibilities to consider.

This question can be answered subjectively depends on the creator and programmer of the robot, but based on the clip I have watched, Robots/Androids can't be a moral agents as they have no feelings, emotions, and ability to think based on what's happening, they will only act as how they are programmed and cant do anything morally situate. However, they know what is right and wrong because of the intelligence that modified by the creator.
2.) What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity implies that filling the deficiency of one to be equal to another, Equity leads us to fairness, it implies to us the quality of treating other people fairly based on their need. It may also be a reward for individual who exert so much and effort, which is fair. However, it may lead to over rewarding and being so committed to fulfill an individual duty. In short we have to reduce the equity because it will eliminate the equality that may result to many differences such as social relationship, law reform and systematic changes.

- When we say moral agent, it is the ability of a person to distinguish right from wrong and held responsibility to their actions. The question is, can robots/androids be moral agents? Absolutely not. Why? In todays generation, the development of technology is increasing and human-like robots is possible. They can perform what human can do. Robots cannot distinguish right from wrong because they are performing based on the program in its system and people can manipulate robots.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity It is simply giving more to those who need it, which is proportionate to their own circumstances, in order to ensure that everyone has the same opportunities. The possible consequences about the equity of life is that it may lead to unfairness. It is very unfair for the people who works very hard to achieve certain thing. Equity makes people dependent to the system where they only wait for opportunities to come without making effort to make it happen.

1. Can Robots/Androids be moral agents?
No I believe they are not capable to become moral agents. Robots and androids are programmed only to a certain extent and cannot distinguish what really is right and wrong, they can only distinguish between what they are wired to recognize. To be a moral agent, I believe you have to be fully conscious and capable to differentiate between right and wrong. Our technology at the moment is not capable of wiring robots and androids to have a certain moral compass to actually be able to know right from wrong.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity may bring forth jealousy between people, for equity solves a specific persons problems instead of giving the same remedy to a group of people with varying resources. So if someone poor were to receive a huge amount of money and the rich don't receive anything because they are already well off to begin with, it may be displeasing to the party that does not receive any benefits. Equity is good but it may spark jealousy and discord within the community to a certain extent.

- I think no, moral agent defines a person who can differentiate right from wrong and be held responsible for own actions. With the advance technology that we have nowadays, especially the artificial intelligence (AI), I will not be surprise if robots will be able to know whether an action is right or wrong, but that does not mean they can be considered a moral agent. As long as the approach to the artificial intelligence (AI) is only to imitate the emotional behavior, there will be no artificial unreflective moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity is quality of being fair and impartial. Although it may look good to those people who cannot sustain their needs, we could not guarantee a fair outcome. Some people may take these as an advantage for them to have more than what they need.

Moral agents is a person who has the ability to distinguish right from wrong and to be held responsible for every action he/she made. I think that robots or androids are capable of being moral agents. Robots are programmed by people. They don't have the freedom or the capability to think or distinguish the right or wrong thing because they only have a system that they followed whether it is right and wrong. Maybe in the future, there will be a program that make robots distinguish right and wrong by their own but they will never completely replace people as a moral agent because moral agency is assigned only to those who can be held responsible for their actions.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity can be defined as simply as the quality of treating individuals fairly based on their needs and requirements but equity also have consequences For example, in equity, all the people can have access to what they need. The differences are recognized and efforts are made to counteract the manner in which individual opportunities are not equal which might lead to jealousy of others. Other people want it all. Some people are greedy even though they have their own resources, they also want other people's resources. That is one of the consequences of equity of life that we know today.

- Based on the movie that I watched, yes. But in real life, Robots only knows what the humans programmed to them but knowing what is right and wrong will be hardly possible for them, because to be able to differentiate right and wrong they need to have values, and values comes from the experiences in life. To be considered as moral agents, being fully aware and able to understand the situation is a must but robots can't do that because they don't have emotions and feelings.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity is giving more to those who have bigger needs than the others. But the consequences of equity is that it may become not fair to those people who struggle and work hard for what they need and people who receive more benefits because of equity may become dependent and not motivated to work hard for what they need because basically, they can already have it.

- No, being a moral agent involves an individual's consciousness which is neither present nor applicable to a device. A robot or an android is specifically instructed to answer logically or true or false. What separates us from being robots is our capability to empathize and sympathize with other humans, which gives us the option to do things our own way even if it is not the best way.

1. Can Robots/ Androids be moral agents?
Moral Agent is technically an individual's ability to make moral
judgements, to distinguish what is right and what is wrong in different
situations and to be held accountable for any action that they make.
Realistically speaking, robots cannot be moral agents for they program
limited to a certain point depending on what and how it is programmed.
Thus, they possess no feelings and they cannot mimic the emotional
capabilities that a human being can exert and they cannot empathize
what they feel towards something which is very critical because having
emotions gives weight to every word you say that robots cannot emulate.
But due to the ever growing technological capabilities in today's world.
Time can only tell if this can be a possibility.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity as we know is freedom from bias and favoritism. Although its
aim is to give fairness to those who really need it. The consequences of
equity is that it may establish discontent and possibly may offend a large
quantity of people since the privileged will not be getting something that
may result in them demanding equality which they can perhaps take this
opportunity to achieve more than what they already have which can cause
friction to all kinds of people in their statuses.

However, a robot or an android cannot be moral agents in reality because they are only programmed to act in a humane way. They might be seen to act and think like humans but never feel like one. Because robots or android are only capable of doing what are they supposed to do or what are they program into, they are not capable of understanding circumstances because they dont have emotions or feelings at all even though they act like human
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-Equity is about giving more to the less and giving less to the more for them to have fairness, the possible consequences is that the one who is in less needs will no longer put extra effort because of the less advantage he'll receive and the one who is in more advantage will also not put extra effort because he received more advantages.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
- No, and never will be. Moral agents refer to the persons who are capable of distinguishing right from wrong and are responsible of their own actions. Robots/Androids being moral agents in some stories/movies are considered as science fictions, means that it was created based on the author's imagination. Robots/Androids lacks consciousness, emotions/feelings, and own will, which are necessary to decide which is morally right and wrong and take actions upon them. Robots/Androids are programmed to do what humans can do and think like how humans think, but will never be a human. A thing without life cannot experience life itself.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Our society is continuing to make steps towards equality but being equal and fair is not always straightforward. Sometimes, people may need differing treatment to make their opportunities the same as another's. Equity generally means the active commitment of treating individuals fairly based on their needs and requirements.
But equity as we know today, depends on the person's perspective. In general, we know that life would never be equal to each other so we created rules, laws and rights to achieve fairness for everybody. But what humans made can also be destroyed. People who are "higher" than the other have their ways. Consequences are differed in every circumstances and our outlook in life, but as long as you're alive, you are responsible of your own actions.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Moral agents are the abilities of individual to make a moral judgements or decisions based on principles of right and wrong and be accountable for their action. In the video, robots/androids are able to process feelings or emotions, but they can not be a moral agent since their emotion, knowledges or feelings are programmed by someone who invented/made them. Robot does not have real emotions and they perceptions of what is morally right and wrong are can be manipulated. And they cannot be held responsible for their doings since they are not real humans.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
People think that equity is an idea of being treated equally. But equity is being treated based on what you need to make someone’s opportunity the same as others. But people are greedy, they can’t stop asking for more whenever someone is being treated more specially. Nowadays, people lack in understanding about trying to give what people need in order to fully enjoy their lives. In a community, equity could be a main problem mostly when a person refused to coordinate since he/she is already having their needs. Jealousy and selfishness are only some of the conflicts that arises in this situation.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
- In the movie that I’ve watched, yes. Because in the movie robots are taught to distinguish what is the right and wrong. Also, through the robots interaction with other people, they began to know their consciousness, like they are able to know what they must act without any guidance of the one who built them. But in reality, robots are not moral agents. Yes, they know what is the right and wrong but they can’t think what is the best solution or decision to make in a certain situation unlike to humans.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- As we all know, equity is defined as giving people their needs and having fairness to the society. But the consequences in this is that, people would not be contented on what they received and they demand more. Also, people tend to take advantage to it because they are assured that they will receive something always.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
A moral agent is a being or a person who is capable of doing or acting with the reference of right and wrong. Basically, the human is the only one who must be considered as the moral agent because they have their own mind that is capable of thinking what is right and wrong. While the robots or artificial humans are programmed and built by a real human who can act as a Moral Agent. Furthermore, the robot is only a product of humans and as to that Robots can act like a moral agent, but could not be and never be considered as a moral agent. Let us be reminded that any machines in the world are being manipulated and controlled by humans, because they do not have their own mind to know what is right and wrong and they do not have the freedom to act freely like humans. Thus, all their actions may be good or bad, yet it is always the creator who is the accountable, that is why robots can never be a moral agent but can replicate a human act.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
We all know that the gap between the poor and rich is really evident in the current time; the need to survive life is hard for those people who are experiencing poverty. The people will always think that when we have equality among us is the answer, yes, it can be but to other situations it is not because equity is more about the solution. Equity is referring to providing the needs of people depending on their needs and to catch up with the opportunity that other people are acquiring. So for me the consequence or a better result of having equity today is that all people can survive life and the superiority/inferiority concept will disappear in our society that will result in a better version of it.

For me artificial life like robots does not have any emotions and lacks of feeling empathy or sympathy to others if we are going to talk about moral agents this involves feeling that may affect a person’s choice this may also lead to unpredictable outcomes that some robots may not see. Robots and androids has only one purpose it was created and build to do a specific job that the inventor program it to do their job will always come first to them and will not think twice when deciding as long as it do its job well then androids and robots will be fine human on the other hand thinks from the brain where all knowledge is stored and deciding a decision will guide to what is the best scenario from them.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is said to be fair and not different from others without someone gaining and someone losing this type of life is hard to believe to happen not all of us are privilege and has the capacity to reach it people strive to avoid being poor and not to lose valuable material while there are some that want more and keep gaining others, in an equity of life people may not strive or try gaining in life because no matter what they achieve for they will still be in par with the others and there will be people that will not work and will not do the roll they were told to do because nothing will change and that is a valid reason the essence of surviving will disappear the responsibilities will be thrown out and life will still move on.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
Moral agents are defined as a person who is capable of making judgments based on the principles of right and wrong. They also have a moral responsibility not to cause harm and they are also accountable for their own actions. Based on the movie, even though robots were able to process emotions, make judgments and were conscious of the surroundings, they cannot be moral agents because their emotions, judgments and knowledge were just imprinted to them which means that it is not based on their own will and also it can be manipulated by the people who created them. Moreover, they can't be held accountable for their actions since they are not real humans and the accountability will be to the inventor.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity means social justice and fairness which means that people are treated based on their necessities and in accordance to the circumstances they are in. However, the consequence of it is that people will be more greedy. We know that humans have a nature of being greedy, in this case, people will be asking for more if they knew that others have greater opportunities than them. They will not feel contented on what they have and will get because they will think that it is unfair. People nowadays have lesser understanding and keep on comparing their lives to others which make them ask for more.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Personally, no, since moral agents should be human with ability to understand and respect others right, while robots doesn't have an emotion and only programmed by computer, a machine resembling a human being and that can able to replicate certain human movements and functions automatically. But if we talk about fiction there's a highly possibilities that they can meet the demands of morality but we talked about reality and it is explanable AI.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
Answer: No. Robots can be involved in moral situations but their legal and moral responsibility is questionable. Moral agents have a moral responsibility not to cause unjustified harm.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Answer: People have different levels of needs. Some might need more resources to attain good standing in life, and some might need less resources to attain the same status. Since equity of life means giving people based on what they need. Equity in life provides or gives more to people who need more development in life to attain good standing in the society. However, people who need less resources to attain good standing in life might see this treatment as unfair justice. Only if they will realize the treatment of equity, then people will live in harmony.

- Moral agent is defines as anyone, wheteher you are a person or not, that distinguish the difference between right and wrong in every situations in life. In the video clip that we watched, came from a scie-fi series which is "Humans", robots can act as a human because of the machine consciousness program that is attached to them. Meanwhile, in reality, robots and android cannot be defined as moral agents because they don't have the feelings and emotions of human mind, factors that affect in distinguishing the difference between right and wrong. However, if somehow in the future that humans will be able to program the robots and android as humans with morality, then we will be able to define them as moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity of life is defined as the advantage or the benefits of an individual to gain or take the opportunity that the life gave in this world. It is a drive that makes every individual unique from each other or to have the distinct differences towards another. However, the consequence or the disadvantage of having this is that, humans will be envy towards his peers or to other people because of that differences. In addition, the hierarchy in the society will be emphasize because of the social stereotypes that has been built.

Moral agent is a collective entity with the capacity to exercise moral agency. -Watching the vid you can agree that as the time goes on technology will rise and the artificial intelligence began to rise it is possible that robots or androids can develop moral agents. As of now the development of artificial intelligence is on the rise and it is improving as we speak, especially machine learning where an A.I. will learn concept by learning itself through numerous times until they will master the concept the same goes with human emotions there comes the when humans can create emotions with the use of a code or either artificial intelligence can learn how to feel and how to think.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-The problem with equity is that it becomes very unhealthy, people who had been on the top most likely the people who works hard who receives less benefits. One of the key examples is the that had recently happen is the S.A.P. the equity comes in where people who are in the lower class is the only one who receives this money from the government and the people who works hard will likely not. This is unfair because the people from the lower class are the only will receive this kind of benefit from the government and this is the bad side of equity where sometimes people who are lower than you can get to the top without any hardwork and effort.

Based on the video that I watched, it seems that Humans emphasizes on more about moral issues and hypothetical impact on society. “Humans” is even exploring the legality of human rights for conscious robots.
1. No. They are no different than other programmed devices. If we make them look human, they are called androids.
But they are no more capable of morality, or consciousness, or feeling than your smart phone.
So it is impossible for them to to be self-aware, and have no free will, they will never be capable of making moral or ethical decisions.
We can program them to seem like they are making ethical decisions. For instance, automated cars are being programmed to make ‘ethical’ decisions. If they are faced with hitting a dog or hitting a person, they are programmed to hit the dog. So it may seem they are being ethical, but it is just how they are programmed.
2. Equity – which I thought meant the intrinsic value of something (as in Brand Equity) or the amount of value your property has increased since you bought it – can also mean: “The quality of being fair and impartial”.
I think that’s a good thing to strive for. Most of us will never achieve that. We all have our inbuilt biases and prejudices. Acknowledging them, and trying to be fair despite them is probably the best we can hope for.

Moral agent is any person or collective entity with the capacity to exercise moral agency. Which is to say as long as they can distinguish right and wrong but it is impossible as robots/androids are programmed by humans which is to say their actions are the programmers desired result, so my answer would be, no they can't be moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Our society are trying to achieve equity of life, but how can we achieve equity if we don't even have any equality to other lifeforms in this world. Humans think that the planet belongs to them so they are disregarding the animals, plants and even the environment, they think that just because humans are the only race in this planet that have a rationality animals cannot be a moral agent, but isn't a dog saving humans rather than itself is already a moral agent itself. We always thought that they do those things because we taught them, but we didn't even consider they capability to learn what is right and what is wrong. If this kind of events still continues there might be one day that our planet would die because of humans.

Moral agents have a moral responsibility not to cause unjustified harm. Robots act just how they are programmed.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity means social justice or fairness; it is an ethical concept, grounded in principles of distributive justice. Nowadays if you are in a privilege position you can keep up on what is new and if you are not in that position you have nothing. Other people tend to do things that they can get benefits on it and after they get the benefits or after they get what they wanted they will forget who help them. Fairness is very important in all aspect so we have to think what we can give in return.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
No, Robots/Androids can simply never comprehend human emotions and their ethics. While it may be true that technology itself is advancing to the point where humans can create artificial intelligence, and it may be possible for that artificial intelligence to surpass human knowledge, but as something that is programmed to abide by its own code, it will be difficult for the robots to understand human emotions. A.I might have the ability to observe and learn, but even we humans sometimes fail to understand each other's reasons, feelings, and ethics. Therefore Robots/Androids can never be Moral Agents, no matter how advance technology may be as they would make decisions based on what is the best option and not consider the factors which we take in consideration like how our decision would affect other people.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is what we refer as social justice, it is what people try to achieve by providing equal resources for those who are in desperate need. The consequences of equity in life as we know of today is both positive and negative, but the positive outweighs the negative in my opinion. The positive outcome is that those who are poor or in need would be given assistance and resources that they can use to get ahead in life, resulting in possibly more productive members of society. The negative would be, those who worked hard might find it unfair that the needy are given assistance. Like, for example the SAP budget for the poor families in the PH. Many middle-class families were complaining that they also want assistance. I'm not saying that they shouldn't have been given assistance, I'm just saying that to prove my point that people might find it unfair that others are receiving help and not them.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
At this rate, Artificial Intelligence has been part of the world’s work environment. AL is becoming more common in homes around the world. Even in the aspects of professional activities like in our healthcare industry we use AI. We know that moral agents are those who have freedom & rational capacity to be responsible for choices, moral reflections and decisions. Thus, AI is not moral agents because they are incapable to make decisions. Morals agents must be person and AI are certainly not person, they are simply a tool. The morality will depend fully with the users or designers of the robot.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Recognizing that everyone is created equal requires recognizing individual’s talent and performance regardless of gender, nationality, age or ethnicity. Equity is about giving people what they need, in order to make things fair. This is not the same as equality, nor is it the same as inequality. It is simply giving more to those who need it, which is proportionate to their own circumstances, in order to ensure that everyone has the same opportunities. However, dealing with equity means providing too little to those who need it and too much to those who can provide for themselves. We begin to have unfair disadvantages aimed at marginalized people. In short, equity is being fair, but being fair doesn't always mean being completely equal to everybody.

Moral agenr define as someone who know to differ right and wrong, from this perspective and from the latest development of AI, Robot still cannot distinguished right and wrong and robot are not possessing emotion and emphaty which are primarily used by human to differ right and wrong.

Equity is a social justice that equally distribute dthe right and privillege to the society,
This social justice is still cannot be seen to the society in order to balance the "unfainess of life" to achieve equity, there shouldn't have poor and rich, and people should have the same privillege as other. The problem with equity to the society without proper social justice is that a lot of privillege people will enjoy the right that they will het while the others don't.

1. Can robot/android be moral agent.
- A moral agent is a person or an entity that has the ability of morality, or to know the difference between right and wrong. Machines and AI's functions are to do what they are programmed to do, by this explanation you can say that they can never be a moral agent because they are only told what to do, they can't do decide something on their own. But due to the technological advances nowadays, AI's can now be programmed to learn, to decide on their own, although far from the intelligence humans possess. Maybe in the future, with further improvements, they can be, but in today's world, they are not moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today.
- Equity is a form of social justice whose goal is not to give everyone equal priviledges, but equal opportunities relative to what they have right now. It is a good thing in a sense where everyone will be given something according to their capabilities, meaning everyone will see the world in an even level. However this concept is something hard to accomplish because there will always be people complaining about what they get compared to what others get. Adding the fact that equity is not present in today's world, because right now, the rich gets richer and the poor gets worse.

1. Can robots/android be moral agents?
- According to Ethics Unwrapped, "A moral agent is capable of acting with reference to right and wrong, and has the power to intentionally cause harm to another." Seeing the advancement of Artificial Intelligence today, I can't be sure anymore to judge its limits. Technology and knowledge continuously progresses, and as time passes by, inventions and improvements are made. As to see the definitions, embodiment, learning, empathy, and teleology, are needed for someone or something to be called a moral agent. The possibility of having robots or androids being moral agents lies on the hands of us, the humans. Instead of answering "yes" or "no" to the question, I'd rather say that it is a possibility, but it to be a possibility is going to be a challenge. I believe that this world is not as narrow as how we thought it is. A bunch of possibilities opens up everyday, and we are not sure anymore what is possible or not until it is done. As a Computer Science student, I'd rather not close this possibility.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity is always confused with equality. According to SGBA E-Learning Resource, "Equity, as we have seen, involves trying to understand and give people what they need to enjoy full, healthy lives. Equality, in contrast, aims to ensure that everyone gets the same things in order to enjoy full, healthy lives. Like equity, equality aims to promote fairness and justice, but it can only work if everyone starts from the same place and needs the same things." But just as to how every decision made have consequences, equity also has consequences. Seeing the picture of equity, it seems to be a good promotion for people with different privileges and capabilities in life. For example, there are 2 families, one family has 4 members, and the other has 6. Let's assume that there are 10 packs of food, equality would give 5 food packs per family, and equity would give 4:6. That is the good side of equity. But practicing equity will not always produce positive results. People have different ways of living and it might be abused by people not wanting to do anything to improve their life, and may just wait for equity which can leave them at the bottom of the society. Therefore, rather than having a balanced society, providing too little to those who need it and too much to those who do not can worsen the inequalities we see today.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
With the technology that humans have today, it's unlikely that there's a robot who can process feelings and emotions without an indefinite consequence, so the answer will be there no, there are no robots and androids who are capable of being moral agents, well at least for now.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
People will always come to a point where what they want is something that they need. And sometimes, I'm forced to believe that equity is nothing but a myth that people say, and because of that myth, it changes people. It makes them do undesirable things all for the sake of something they "need." The equity of life alone builds a hierarchy and those who are rich and powerful stay at the top. And those at the bottom are left with nothing but with what they have and excess baggage, desire and envy

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
Based on the definition, Moral agents are those who have the freedom and rational capacity to be responsible for choices. First, according on what I watched and in real world, robots or androids cannot be moral agents since they can't process emotions properly. On the other hand, they may develop and learn from a person's but decisions from them are still made, being a moral agent is knowing what's right and wrong so that they can't distinguish what's right or wrong. Lastly, the robots or androids can adapt for the humans as they learn and process actions and emotions of a person's but having moral values is far from possible for them. Overall, by some means if inventors and developers managed to develop and invent a way to give consciousness to robots, then it might happen that they can be a moral agent.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Time flies too fast, our country are facing poverty right now but the most important is having all our needs more than for what we want. We all know that being poor or in need is not a big challenge for us because if you born poor its your responsibility to work hard for it and for us to live a life to the fullest and to survive for everyday needs, but its your consequence and mistake if you died poor because you do not work for it. Also, equity is having fairness and providing needs of people in the society. In the end, whatever can be right and wrong, there's always silver lining for us.

- After watching the video, we cannot say that robots/ android can be a moral agent. As we all know, the tv series was only made for the entertainment of the viewers. Any content or ideas produced by the series is only a fictional. The robots cannot have moral agents for they are only shaped to act or behave that designed in a way that represents an understanding of the responsibility that can help or support its owner.
2. What are the consequences of the equity of life as we know it today?
- The equity of life is something that we give to people in order to support and provide their needs as constituents of the state which is based on their situations and standing in life. The consequences of the equity in terms of secured surrounding and unharmed society for everyone are a way of the government to deprive us of our rights and freedom. For example, the implementation of the anti-terrorism law which contents that may cause oppression of the government to its states.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
- Based on the films and series we can watch, robots can be a moral agents as he acts and thinks like a real human. However, this is a mere fantasy. Even the fact that the robots can have an artificial intelligence that has a feature of machine learning, the robots cannot use this data he learned to process like what humans do in every situation. Maybe they can identify what actions have done but they cannot distinguish the right and wrong from it. Processing like this is too complicated for to write it in the code as instructions. They can have the data in this world and process some things, but they cannot have moral reasoning in their code and feel responsible for their actions because they cannot have real emotions. Moral reasoning is nurtured from experiences and cannot be created of 0s and 1s.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-Equity is a term used to provide the needs he/she deserve based on the situation. Sounds great because each one of us is in different situations. What I can think of consequences for this is that this may start envy for those people who receive less than to those who receive more because they are below. They would think this as not equal treatment as they work for their living but receive less than the others.

-There is a growing recognition of the importance of equity to development, and many development agencies recognise equity as a central goal for their programming. However, while equity is used intuitively in development debates and programming, it seems that its meaning is not clearly understood. This is reflected in often shallow analysis about what equity is and what should be done to achieve it. Its importance is recognised, but the policy priorities for achieving it are not consistently or coherently explored.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
As far as I know, AIs now can do more and know more than a human
does, and it is all a human's work. And as technology keeps on
progressing, it is not impossible anymore that robots can
upgrade to something that can actually think rationally and judge
according to such instances that requires responsibility and
make their own choices, humans can do that to them, and who knows
they might actually surpass a human's intelligence and actually
rule the humanity. After all, the ones who made them are adults
with a sound mind, as it was defined above.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know
it today?
Equity, as defined, is the fairness in the way people are treated.
But how can we be sure that equity is the best treatment for all?
Right, equity is usually for those who are unfortunate enough in life.
But, also, there are instances that equity is being abused by some
people, like they are not doing something to better their lives, they
rely on equity, so that's one of the consequences equity has done
with our lives. But, I do still believe in equity as something
we really need as for today's circumstances.

-i think the answer is no, moral agents defined as responsible for their choices, robots/androids are only rely on the program they are made. It is stated that moral standing deals with the values of ethical positions that could be situational and culturally binding, as what I said I think they cannot decide by their own in situational because they not have feelings and I didn`t see anything news about AI/robot/android that process feelings so that they have not ability to discern what is right and wrong that contradict to the meaning of moral agents
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- the problem here is equity comes from the idea of moral equality, that people should be treated as equals. Thinking about equity can help us decide how to distribute goods and services across society, holding the state responsible for its influence over how goods and services are distributed in a society, and using this influence to ensure fair treatment for all citizens but as what I see now in our country it is not being apply, those who have money always comes first and that`s true as always ,even if we deny it, we cannot stop it to release the bad smell of truth

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
- Definitely yes, according to what I have search, a moral agent is any person or collective entity with the capacity to exercise moral agency. Thus, robots are moral agents when there is a reasonable level of abstraction under which we must grant that the machine has autonomous intentions and re- sponsibilities.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
-Moral agents is defined as people who can be accountable with their own freedom of choices. It is a person who can distinguish right and wrong from his/her perspective, ethical views, norms, culture and beliefs. Therefore, robots or Android cannot and will never be a moral agents because they were manipulated by their creator. Robots or synth have this "chips", data etc. from their creator and that was stored for them to act like human beings, hence they weren't accountable for what they've done. They may "copy" the behaviors of human beings but they will never have any emotions. They also don't have a decision of their own but, only relying on the observation from their surroundings and information provided by their creator.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity of life as we know today involves the understanding of the people's need because it is a social justice and fairness. It doesn't necessarily means equality, because it aims to ensure that everyone can get the same thing. Equality can only be define if everyone start from the beginning, place and need the same basic necessities and things. There are advantages of equity because it can help those people in need and make sure that they can survive. And, some disadvantages, like people who became dependent on the equity may become lazy and take advantage of it. Even some people may cast their envious gaze on the people who receives more. People only need to rely on themselves to make a standing in the society, they need to have their own self- awareness to improve theirselves. Moreover, if only all people know the true essence of equity and be more open-minded, then the world will become better and better.

No, robots/androids cannot be moral agents. We defined moral agents as those who have the freedom and rational capacity to be responsible for choices. Equity is about giving more to those who need it, to make things fair. I think there are positive and negative consequences of the equity of life. The positive consequence, people will be compassionate for giving more to the needy. Even though they know that it is not fair, they realize that it's okay because they need more. While the negative part, people will take advantage of what they get. They will ask more because they think that they needed the most from other people.

1. According to what I've searched, moral agent is someone's ability to discern right from wrong and to be held accountable for his/her actions. Therefore, moral agent is only exclusive to human beings.
Going back to the question. I may say that robots/androids are doesn't have a capacity for moral agents because there is no possibility that they are responsible for their actions due to having no emotions, feelings and senses in a reason that only technology can operate their lives.
2. Having an equity is not bad because it gives every individual things whay they deserve. The only consequence their is it shows inequality to other people who doesn't receive anything because they have it already and it's like they don't need it anymore. Another consequence is other people don't pursue to find another opportunity in order to achieve what they deserve, they only just wait to receive what they think they deserve.

Robots came across during technological age wherein it has been developed and utilized in the present times. Based on the clip I watched, robots are capable of arresting itself to moral behaviors. However, Moral agents is defined as a person who has the capacity to distinguish right from wrong and to be held responsible from his actions. As the robot was being invented by human, it is programmed and only limited to its uses and control. In the video given, it can be seen that it was a futuristic references but for now we can say that robots cannot be on what we have watched. Robots can be a clone machine but it can never be the same, maybe by the technology of genetic engineering but it cannot be acquire the intellectual capacity of the human so that it may not be accountable by its own action because it is being programmed.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity was a very helpful concept in our lives. Living with such equity in the world isn't possible in the present times. People struggling with their lives as for help in order to adapt themselves to the progress of way of living. On the other hand, people who are in the better state of life continuously wants to be better. - Based on the blog, moral agents were defined as human beings who has a capacity to distinguish or assess what is right or what is wrong in a certain or particular situation given. On the movie clip, i see that robots and AI developed conscience but still it results into chaos and death. For me, as of now, there is a low chance that robots and AI can be moral agents since it really takes time and they’ll undergo a lot of experiments and trials for this to happen. Robots were manmade and I think we should not be playing Gods, even if they will somehow develop on their data what is right and what is wrong, it is still not on their own. It was made and can be controlled by someone else while us, people who are moral agents (except for the children and those people who have mental difficulties), we have our own option and we live our own life, also we have this what we called moral standing. So yeah, robots and AI can’t be moral agents for me.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?

Equity in ethics means justice or fairness, we can’t still say that we are already achieving fairness because the truth is as of today, a lot of people still decided to choose the path that is convenient and in favor for themselves. They still don’t know what is the real concept of fairness is and we are far from achieving this state of equity in life.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Robots and androids can’t be considered as moral agents. Moral agents mean that these are human beings capable of distinguishing what is right and wrong, they must be responsible for their moral actions. As human beings, we have our own moral values and associate it with what we believe in, and to what we feel or with our emotions. Robots/Androids are non-living beings that are just built and programmed. They don’t even have consciousness and emotions that is a factor on having moral values. They could be easily manipulated by other people that limits their freedom of actions, that means they can’t think for their own unless they are programmed to do so making robots not capable of being moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity make things be equal. For example, in an online class setting, some students can’t submit quizzes within the time limit so the professor considered those students to message him the answers to the quiz while those who can submit within the platform used for the quiz can submit their answers there. So I think the consequence of equity of life is that some might abuse it. For example, in a pandemic, some people don’t have a job and can’t sell because of the ECQ implemented where people are not allowed and are limited to go outside so the chairman of the place decided to distribute money and relief goods to people who can’t earn in the pandemic and give relief goods to those who don’t need that much, some people could abuse the help given to them and demand more. Another consequence would be envy of others, because if they received more attention or be given more than what you received because they need it more than you do. Some people tend to be jealous of others thinking that it is not fair when in fact, equity is providing various levels of support and assistance depending on specific needs or abilities.

Having equity is a good learning for a society. It makes our life fair and equal. Equity is having anything in favor of the person who reallly needs it. Meanwhile, it has a disadvantage. Having equity at all times tolerate people not to work and lean only to those good people. They are not thinking of a strategy to make a fair life but they only wait for other people to make a fair life for them.

In the TV series “Humans”. The robots/androids are adapting to the actions of the people around them. They only learn things on what they are seeing and observing. A moral agent is a person that can decide on his/her own. Robots cannot be moral agents due to the people who are manipulating them. Robots and Androids are just programmed to do specific tasks. These tasks are assigned by a human, therefore a robot doesn’t have an emotion and its movement is only based from the programmer.

Equity is a concept of justice or fairness. For instance, there are three people, each one of them will received a thing that suits them that will not differ them to the other people. It is good in terms of fairness because everyone can experience the things that other people also experience. But the consequence here is that there are people who doesn’t deserve the thing given to him/her because he/she doesn’t do his/her role. Another bad thing about equity is envy, people will tend to look at others, from that they will start comparing their situation to other people’s situation.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Robots and androids will never be moral agents. A moral agent is defined to be an individual who has the ability to determine what is right and wrong and must be responsible to what his/her actions are. Because of the modernity, people tend to invent new things such as AI (Artificial Intelligence) technology or the robots. Many modifications can be applied to robots like determining what is right and wrong but on the other side, it is still made by people, and the robot will only move according to its modification. It may perform well like a human but there is still no morality in its action. Another thing is, if something gone wrong, the robot nor the creator will not held accountable for its actions since it is only acting based on what modifications it has.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Since equity is like giving the needs of the people who actually worth of it, possible consequences may be equality will be set aside. This may be a good work since they are providing what other people needs but at some point, it will be very unfair for those who are working hard. However, the consequences of this is that some people never learn to be contented and they envy other people with what they don't need because they wanted to be treated equally and not through equity. If I will connect it to the present time, the equity of life that we have amidst pandemic, for example is the distribution of reliefs and money. The equity of life there is they are giving the one who needs, especially those who are in the lower class, and let the middle class families provide their food on their own. This is a good work but the problem is, in this pandemic, many middle class families stopped their work for their safety and struggle to provide food, but still they don't receive any help from the government just because they are not in need. My point is, the equality may be forgotten. We must not only settle for equity since it will be very unfair for those who are working hard to contribute to the economy.

- Robots or Androids cannot be moral agents, they are dependent on what may the humans programmed on their software which if they can move, react and feel. Yes, robots can be developed and enhanced but their decisioning is according to the program installed. Robots are just imitators of our actions, but they can’t analyze our actions. Simply they are just observing rather than analyzing.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity gives the needs of an individual according to its privileges ensuring the fair treatment. Applying these may consequence to embedment of distributive justice. Allocating the resources by perceiving fairness on how resources shared even though they have different works or effort. Equality gives same opportunity, and equity gives fair opportunity, what we really need is justice that fixes the system of opportunity giving a free and just society regardless of your race, gender, class, etc.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Based on the partial part of the series, it definitely shows that they cannot be a moral agent since they were just created having a certain characteristics that has also been made by a person with moral agent but whenever a robot will be in a critical situation, wherein it could probably hasn’t been programed to them. Hence, technically they cannot decide on what will be the right thing to do and also, they will not take responsibility on their actions especially when they harm others because they will just act based on what has been program to them.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Many people before are asking for equality but little did they know that if they will ask for equality then it will still be unfair since higher class will still be given the same chance as the lower class in which we should ask for equity instead since equity help us decide how to distribute goods and services across society, holding the state responsible for its influence over how goods and services are distributed in a society, and using this influence to ensure fair treatment for all citizens. But with equity some people will be contented to be in a lower class and will not work hard since they know that there is an equity which will fulfil their needs, on the other hand being in a lower class doesn’t mean that they was contented with that rather there we just no opportunities coming to them and equity will do good for that kind of situation.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Robots are made to cater human needs and to do repetitive actions or jobs considered too dangerous for humans. But them being moral agents is not possible because moral agent is defined as someone who can discern what is right from wrong and held accountable for his or her own actions. Additionally, yes we can modify robots to know what is right or wrong but in the first place they don’t have their own consciousness to know what are they doing, for they were just from the codes of people that made them. They may look like normal people doing normal things, as time goes by and as they were coded perfectly, but the consequences done by the robot were not held accountable by themselves but for whom they were made from.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity involves trying to understand and give people what they need to enjoy full, healthy lives. Like giving helps for people who really needs them like lower income people during this pandemic. Equality, in contrast, aims to ensure that everyone gets the same things. But in times like this, the pandemic we were experiencing right now, equity gives more support for lower income families but as we all know, middle class families also need help because they were affected by losing their jobs and incomes. It may seem unfair to them especially if all both parties were doing their hard works to earn but in times like this, only equity was given.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
- Moral agent is a person who has the ability to know the right and wrong and make a decision that is accountable to his/her own. They have a responsibility to not cause any harm to the other. In the series, the android can be moral agents. It is possible in the series because there are like a normal person because of the technology they have. They can be responsible in what they do because there have emotion and also an ability to know the right and wrong. But, in our present time we can’t say that the invention nowadays related to the series can be a moral agent. Our technology is not that advanced but who knows in the near future, robots or androids can be a moral agent.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is very different to the equality because unlike equality, equity is giving things in a fair manner. So the idea of this is everyone has the same result, it is possible that someone will not receive anything because he/she is the one who will be the person who is capable than other people. But there is bad consequence in this idea, because some people don’t give much effort about the thing they do so if we will give them the same amount than other people who work hard it is unfair for the hard worker.

1.) Can robots/androids be moral agents?
No.
The qualifications for a being to be considered as a moral agent are, but not limited to, as follows:
i. The agent can discern right from wrong.
ii. The agent can be held accountable for his/her actions.
iii. The agent has a moral responsibility not to cause unjustified harm.
With the criteria mentioned, it may seem like robots and androids can fit these criteria with the right and precise programming since it causes these technologies to process human emotions and desires. However, the video provided illustrative scenarios which work against the morality of robots. Yes, they might be programmed to act as a responsible member of society. The catch, however, is that robots and androids will always be tied to certain aspects of programming, may it be a code or an algorithm which limits their mental and rational capacity for their choices. Because of this, robots and androids Robots and androids will not always be of sound mind. Without their biological basis of morality, robots and androids cannot be responsible for their actions. For these reasons, we cannot consider robots and androids as moral agents.
2.) What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Not to be confused with equality, equity permits fairness in our society by providing each person with equal opportunities to achieve their needs and perform at an acceptable level. Policies promoting equity directly and indirectly help reduce poverty. By providing the disadvantaged with the resources they need, they too can cope up with the continuously rising demands of society, may it be financial, mental, or social demands. With equity, we can bridge the gap between people of different socioeconomic statuses. The concept of equity shows positive consequences, specifically in its ability to fix social stratifications. In our current generation, there are plenty of demonstrations of equity. However, we are still miles away from saying that our society is equal in all aspects of life.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Artificial intelligence will never be moral agents. In the first place, nothing is perfect and AIs can be faulty. Such thing is prone to malfunction, not to mention other factors that can cause mess in their system like environmental ones and breach of other people. With that in mind, I can say that we can never trust robots to do something that involves moral values. Most importantly, what differentiates human from robots is the heart. Moral values come from the compositions of the heart. Morality is the bearing of the mass of experiences of a person. That experience is the root of one's ability to weigh things morally which robots don't have.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is never easy to accept and achieve for me because there's always two sides of a coin. When equity is attained, equality will be removed in the equation, that's just how it is. That is the only and the biggest consequence about equity and is also the reason why is it hard to accept and achieve because a reasonable concept is opposing it. Here's my side, if we were to give equal things to those in need, some people have possibility of getting more than what they need and deserve, some will find it still insufficient because of difference in condition (equality). Now if I apply equity in the situation, we are to consider the lowest of the lowest and give them all they need to live a fair life (no more no less) and others will still get what they need to live a fair life, less effort and resources wasted. Equity avoids leaving someone behind, and that's what makes it more viable than equality so I think it doesn't really have a real consequence.

1. First of all, based on how moral agents was defined above, "Moral Agents can be defined to those who have freedom and rational capacity to be responsible for their choices. " Here we can clearly identify that the robots can not be a moral agent since they are controlled by humans and doesn't have a freedom. And based on the video, I noticed that yes they can talk, they have the ability to identify what is right and wrong, but their knowledge are limited. Therefore, it is far from possible for them to be a moral agent.
2. Equity is the system of providing someone what he deserves based on his situation or standing. One of the consequences that equity can raise is unfairness. Some people will be dependent on this system to gain things or goals that they did'nt worked hard for. This will be unfair to those people who strived hard to achieve the stage they currently in.

Therefore, robots/AIs like in the video, they can't be considered as Moral Agents. They have no responsibility for their actions since they were created and modified to act as humans.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity is providing various support and assistance based on their specific needs. There are various consequences about the equity. If we applied equity, the equality will be out of the question, and that's where the negative consequences emerges. People who doesn't have much compassion to the people around them might have a misunderstanding if a person/community gives more to people who needs more support than them. While the positive consequence of it is that equity avoids leaving anyone, regardless of their status or situation, behind. People will show more compassion towards others.

2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- For me, there are no consequences about equity in life because equity is a process that makes the community or a place equal. Like having a food supply, in "Equality" all people in that community will receive the same amount of food supplies whether they have some food to spare or the food supply is not enough for that family. They just give the same amount. But in "Equity" they balance the food supplies base on the needs per family in that community.

As what moral agent is defined, it is an individual that can make moral judgments based on some notion of right and wrong and to be held accountable for these actions. With the context given, robots and androids that are invented by the human cannot be considered as moral agents for they are just pure of modifications. With the help of technology, robots obtain knowledge of the rights and wrongs, but as we all aware of, it's is just made up of pure customizations. Moral values or morality itself is not something that should impose on an individual as if it is just a medical cure that needs to take to be a functional individual or in this context, a moral agent.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
The consequence of equity of life, as we know it today is that the equity could inundate the principle of equality. Although both promote fairness, equality achieves this by treating everyone the same regardless of need, while equity achieves this by treating people differently dependent on need. For instance, in our social setting wherein we are being divided by our financial status. With this context, equity is being observed by the distribution of financial help. Though everyone in society paid their taxes, only those who are in need were aided help, with that equity is implemented but equality is neglected.

1) Given the definition that moral agents have freedom and rational capacity to be responsible for their choices, it tells us that the robots/androids in the clip can be moral agents. The consciousness that was uploaded to their system is the main component that made me think in such a way. If they weren’t given such thing then they will only be capable of doing what they were programmed/created to do.
2) Clearly in the life we know today, equity is such a rare sight. What I can call an excellent example is how people with power or have great money is being cared for with the utmost exceptions that they even rise above the law. Whilst when you have no power and no money, nobody gives a care about your life and the things you beg for.

2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is defined as an expression of social justice. It has to do fundamentally with a fair distribution of benefits from health and social development. It goes beyond equality. It calls for responses that are in accord with the needs of the individual in relation to the needs for all.
based on our life that we know today, an example of equity is the distribution of sap to the poorest family on the Philippines only, excluding families that has sources of income. based on my observation, the sap distribution was given to the poor and was not used for survival rather on their wants and still demanded the government to sustain their way of living. that was 1 example of a consequence of equity.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
- No, they can not really be considered a moral agent, even though in order to be a moral agent, it is not possible for a robot to have a personality. A moral agent is a person who has the capability to distinguish between right and wrong and to be held personally responsible for his or her own actions. In order to be morally responsible for the behavior and actions, we consider a moral agent to be any person to something which is proper to apply a moral agency. I think we all have some common situations that already have convinced us something about being a moral agent, whether it's an unexpectedly change of ethical terms rather than something that brings us beyond knowing and understanding of morally responsible behavior.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity comes primarily from the principle that individuals should be considered as equals, with moral equality. The result of this is that more individuals would depend on generational experiences and unequal access to resources, as well as increasing economic inequality, which can cause more disadvantages. This inequity, as well as being a bad thing that in and of itself, has a negative impact on development, reduced poverty, social equality and expression.

As I can see on the series I've watched, it's a yes for me. We people distinguish things like we already know what is happening and what will happen in the mere future. Robots/AI can also feel human emotions, can also decide for themselves like a normal person would do. They are inspired in human form so yes it is possible that they can be moral agents. Humans have brains and so are the robots they have their own central processing unit. On this age we live, nothing is impossible and I will not be shocked if a robot will be a better one than a regular person.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity can also have its consequences. And in my opinion, equity's consequences will be most felt at the people who have already everything in their lives. Why? Equity achieves this through treating people differently dependent on need. So basically, if you are a rich person you don't need any donations or money from the outside because you already have it. Some people needed it more than you needed it. We can't get or achieve some things because of equity for it prioritizes those who need it MOST. Unlike equality, regardless of what your standing in life is, you will still get it all.

For me, robot/ android are not capable to be moral agent because robots are device that is programed to do certain work or task. Robots don’t have conscience to distinguish what is right and what is wrong. They only know and do is what was programmed to them. But some of the AI’s today are being test and programed to interact in some human life situation that’s why some of the robots are capable to tell what is right or wrong. However these doesn't mean that they could decide morally on their own, but rather it was the data and knowledge that was programmed to them by another person. - Robots have been a part of our work environment for the past few decades but they are no longer limited to factory automation. They can be moral agents when there is a reasonable level of abstraction under which we must grant that the machine has autonomous intentions and responsibilities. An autonomous robot performs behavior and can perform task with their artificial intelligence. If the robot can be seen as autonomous from many points of view, then the machine is
a robust moral agent, possibly approaching or exceeding the moral status of human beings. Based on the video, robots are made alike a human person. They are programmed to do everything and a companion such like a friend and ended up having the desire to feel conscious but in the end they're gone abnormal with their actions and it is not considered to be moral agent because they are not accountable for their actions because they are programmed by humans.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
Robots are products of AI or what we call Artificial Intelligence, they are built with algorithms that humans created. Based on the assigned clip, robots were of assistance to humans, and they became part of their lives like any other person, they became attached and show affection but also showed destruction and conflict. Robots may display morals or emotions like what a human person has, it is not possible for them to be moral agents because what a robot knows or shows, it came from humans, it was programmed by humans. We could not completely rely on robots in terms of them being moral agents. Yes, they may or can assess what is right from wrong, but they are far from being equal with humans. They serve a great purpose in society but to replace our individual roles in the society is not right. I will quote from an article, “Basically, robot is just pieces of metal without AI technology.” And AI technology and algorithms created by humans which they designed for robots to possess what they have. Robots were made to do what they are told, show a human-like personality, and able to distinguish emotions and react to it and even respond to decision making of what is right and wrong but they do not have free will, conscience, and the moral behavior a human has that makes us superior to all.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is defined as wherein the individuals in a society should be entitled to the resources present with the same advantage, opportunities, and benefits for what they deserve. As of today, I rarely feel equity in the society, we cannot even achieve equality that people are currently fighting (like LGBTQIA+, Gender, sustainable development goals etc.) We are currently trying to fight for it as more often than not, some abuse others, some tries to corrupt other and if this continues on, we would not be able to achieve peace and prosperity. If we have equity in our society, then we should be receiving support and assistance depending on what an individual or the community needs and abilities but today, especially in the Philippines, we have only achieved great injustices outcomes. As far as equity can help a lot of poor people, it can be seen as something to be biased or neglection of other individuals in that particular society which is not good. So I believe we may have equity and equality but we cant really separate those two as it can be beneficial as long as it is categorized based on what the individuals need and what treatment should have. Lastly, equity can help a lot of underprivileged people or even the disabled community, and the equality talks about the value of people like for example, in terms of gender, class etc. that can help them achieve their certain objectives for a better tomorrow.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
No, because a moral agent should be any person or collective entity with the capacity to exercise moral agency. It is suggested that rational thought and deliberation are prerequisite skills for any agent. In this way, moral agents can discern between right and wrong and be held accountable for the consequences of their actions. Moral Agents can be defined to those who have freedom and rational capacity to be responsible for their choices.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is giving everyone what they need to be successful. Based on current situation, which is affected by the pandemic, government gave financial aid mostly to those families belonging to the 4P’s (lower class). This showed equity in a way that striving families were helped but the major consequences of this equity are that people rely on the help being provided by the government and most of the funds are from the middle and higher class. If we will base it on logic, the money they should be getting must be given to those who worked hard for it. And if you see the news today, people who are on the lower class, they rely too much to the government making them lazy and unhopeful to the situation instead of finding solutions by themselves.

equity is where all people are given the same opportunity and the consequences of equity is that people, mostly in higher society see it as unfair treatment because the way they have it all by working hard and opportunities they think that it is unfair to give the same opportunity to the people that less to them.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Robots/androids are programmed with algorithms of what the humans made. With this statement, we can conclude that robots only rely on what the human puts in them in order to function. Robots cannot make their own judgments and are relying dependently on their limited information. Therefore, we can conclude that robots/androids cannot be a moral agents since they do not basically rely on their own.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity means giving justice to an individual. This may vary depending on his/her needs or situation. The consequences about the equity of life as we know it today is that some people think of it as negative thing since they are not receiving the same or equal amount of help. Others think of it as unfair and unjust on their side. There exist envy which would lead to chaos. Another side is people will take advantage of it, hence, not having progress at all in their lives and will simply rely on it.

This is a sci-fiction series that is very interesting. The concept and the idea was very captivating. Can robots/androids be moral agents? Robots are built and programmed by human, I believed that robot can determined what is right from wrong but for me they can't be moral agents. Moral Agent is a person who has the ability to discern right from wrong and to be held accountable for his or her own actions. However, whatever human programmed to the robot, and the robot will just obey and do it 'what you give is what you get'. Therefore the one who programmed it was the one who's responsible for the decision it make and not the robot it is.
What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today? If we look at in life we think that there's no equity at all. Because equity means being fair and beyond the meaning of equality, it is just giving more to one who need it the most and the less to the one who needed less. However, I still believed that there is equity in life because of the word 'ironically'.

1. Moral agents have moral responsibility not to cause unjustified harm and it has the ability to discern what is right from wrong. robots have been a part of our work environment for the past few decades but they are no longer limited to factor automation. Therefore, robots or Androids cannot be considered as the moral agents because they aren't accountable to act or do actions without the control or instruction of humans. But according to the video the robots can be moral agents because their actions can anticipate what is right and what is wrong because of the human who controls them & instructed them.
2. The equity of life is based on our needs, people have different needs and wants, moreover, consequences for this is that we humans aren't contented on what we have and that's why most of us gets jealous on what other people have and even pull each othe down with that a lot of people became selfish and greed. Equity achieves through treating people differently depends on needs. So most of us wants equality but i think equality uses if it is in need and we can restore humanity if we will help each other grow and uses equity in our lives.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Well machines or robots are made to fulfill their purpose based on their programming. Strictly saying that machines will only do what they are told to do by programming. Strictly adhering to preset rules and doing something without the presence of free will and/or free thinking cannot be moral agents. But if there were to have huge advances in Artificial Intelligence such as the notion of a machine having free will and consciousness there is the possibility they could be moral agents. Because they have the power to discern on their own what is right and wrong. What makes us difference from animals is that we have the power of free thinking. We have the power to have moral dilemmas and process critical thinking. If something in this case the androids were to have free thinking and will and are subjected to morality and ethics. They may very well be moral agents to.
2. What are the consequences of the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity means that we are given by the basis of what we need. The reason why equity can't work in the life that we live is because not every person is the same. Each individual has their own backgrounds and belief thus causing different needs. The needs can be demanding or even threatens the well-being of others. There are also the factors such as greed or any other ill-will that may heavily impact the needs of a person.
1. Based on the tv series Humans, the androids have self consciousness and they are acting on their own will. But in the real life I think this is hard to do because you have to randomize each traits and aspects of an AI, randomize their likes and dislikes, make them experience pain, etc. I would say this is possible but it will take a lot of time and practice in order to do this.
ReplyDelete2. In my own opinion equity will change the world to a better place, before, the poor people didn't have a chance to have a better life due to lack of background, experience, thus making their opportunities limited, but when there is equity, everyone will be provided opportunity to accommodate their need.

A moral agent is "a being who is capable of acting with reference to right and wrong." Robots are made by humans and cannot be considered as moral agent. Also robots do not know what is right and wrong because humans commands them what to do and they are programmed for their purpose.
2. What are the consequences of the equity of life as we know is today?
Equity means social justice or fairness; it is an ethical concept, grounded in principles of distributive justice. The consequence of equity today, In an organization where there is equity or there is no one who has a true leadership role. Without a leader or a core group of organizational leadership, the company's direction is unknown and every corporate decision risks being stalled due to impasse.

1. Can robots/androids can be moral agents?
Moral agents should be able to distinguish what is right amd what is wrong. Robots, on the other hand, only have artificial intelligence. Thus, this made them not considered as moral agents because they cannot process situations like humans do, unless, like on the video, they are programmed to be able to process it. Robots and androids do not have a mind that will totally work like human mind.
2. What are the consequences of the equity of life as we know is today?
Equity will change the world as it is the distributive justice. Poor people who were deprived of opportunity, will get a chance to have a better life. In addition, everyone will get to have a good living because of it.
On the other hand, equity may also cause imbalance in the society. Rich people will stay in their places while poor people will climb upto their level.
For me, what is more important is to give people their basic commodities, proper healthcare and education, and a good government. In that case, it will not fair for everyone, but humane to everyone.

Robots or androids can be moral agents but depends on the understanding capability of it. We can distinguish a robot as a moral agent when it has a reasonable level of abstraction under which we can say that it has autonomous intentions and responsibilities that can be of level as a normal moral agent like a mentally stable person who could discern right from wrong and can be held accountable for their actions.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
The principle of equity is to understand and give people what they need in order to make things fair. Equity is like, ‘Give more to those who need it.’ One of the consequences about the equity of life is that we are obligated to make hard choices and think of other aspects first before making decisions about fairness that involves the differences of their needs. However I still believe that the real world is unfair in nature.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
By definition, moral agents are people that can be held accountable of their actions because they are conscious of its moral quality or value. Robots do what they are told, regardless if it is morally good or evil. They are programmed to perform certain actions they are not aware of so they can't be held accountable of those actions. Thus, invalidating them as moral agents.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
With equity, the favor given depends on how much someone need it. Unlike equality which aims to provide the same amount for everyone, considering equity means understanding how much something/one needs in order to reach a certain point of relief. This benefits people in most aspects like how some schools provide quality education for less fortunate students or when special lanes or seats are provided for people with disabilities. It has several positive consequences as equity always take into consideration that not everyone starts or is standing at the same point. But equity can also sometimes be unfair when something/someone's needs are being mistakenly judged which is common for people in the middle class. Equity can also be abused and used as a privilege.

Robots are technolgy made by human, but humans are very complex creature, even until no we still have different beliefs of where we came from, I believe that humans cannot surpass higher knowledge about creating things like us that can have moral agents, thus I don't think robots or androids can be moral agents, it is very unlikely to program something that can think and move on it's own after creation, a robot's behaviour and everything it makes are all made by human and cannot be like a real human being.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity means social justice or fairness, it means giving people what they lack according to their needs, it is very great to look upon the lowly and be generally fair as to what they also need but it gets ugly when this system is abused that you are no longer standing up and continually relying on the system.

1. Based on the provided video that I've watched, robots cannot be moral agents. Because they were only being programmed by humans and they doesn't know if what they are doing is right or wrong. They were only basing on what humans command to them or what kind of programmed they were set to. So for me, robots cannot be moral agents, only humans can be moral agents because we can think properly without malfunctions of what to do wether it is wrong or right.
2. Equity is based on the idea of moral equality, the principle that people should be treated as equals. This is the idea that, despite many differences, all people share a common humanity or human dignity and, as a result of this, we must consider how each of them should be treated. And as for today in our life, equity is being used to those privileged people, they were using their power or position to take advantage things. And just for those averaged people I think applying equity is somewhat a good luck for them.

A moral agent is a person who can discern right from wrong and be held accountable for his or her actions. As I've seen on the video, I can say that robots/androids cannot be a moral agent. Robots are made and controlled by humans. They are programmed to do such things and act accordingly. They might know what is right and wrong, but they don't have feelings. Having feelings or emotions play a major part in most of the ethical decisions people make.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is about giving people what they need, to make things fair. It has a positive and negative effect on both people and society. On the positive side, people will get treated equally based on their needs. They will get a chance to feel what the privileged life is. It's like a quotation, "no one left behind." But on the other hand, people might take advantage of it, and things can get out of control.

-According to the clip watched, I can say that no, they are not capable of being moral agents. In the video, they may have regained conciousness and the skill to make decisions for themselves but those are made possible because of the person who created them. Meaning it isn't within them and that without the goal of their creator making them gain conciousness then it wouldn't happen.

Equity is being fair in way that you cater the needs of those who is in dire need of it. The consequences that I see of equity in life is that, being able to receive more because of their lesser status, people in the lower stratas might just keep on spending their money since they receive more of it and they may not work hard anymore in order to succeed in life. Besides, because of greed, people in the higher statuses of life may start complaining because of greed and start wanting more. Thus creating chaos and disorder in the society.

No, moral values and other reasoning are rooted down a person's past experience and culture, robots are just programmed to do a limited functions rendering them unable to think themselves. They don't have feelings of guilty nor conscience, which means they cannot be relied on in decision making concerning ethical values. Their perspective on what is right and wrong are limited in what is programmed to them, how can you be a moral agent if you don't even havw a moral at all.

Equity is the act of giving someone their benefits on a basis of what they actually need, those who hit rock bottom benefits the most, while those who are already successful and could make it on their own benefits less. The consequences is that, people have been romanticizing equality the most for it is what they perceived as most acceptable, in equity, it is neglected that those in the top may fall someday, which gives it another consequence. The people on the bottom might become too dependent on this act that they may only rely on the benefits and would not act themselves, thus rejects self actualization

Definitely no. Moral values and judgment calls are deep down influenced by the person's own experience and set of values that she/he learns from the past. Although robot seems to have consciousness and own judgment, it is just how they're created and set to act. Everything they can do is limited to what their creator set them to be. The android/robot own judgment call is limited and is predetermined also on what their creator set them.

On the off chance that we are to manufacture human-like robots that can interface normally with individuals, our robots must know about the properties of articles as well as the properties of vitalize operators on the planet. One of the major social aptitudes for people is the attribution of convictions, objectives, and wants to others. This arrangement of abilities has frequently been known as a "Theory of mind".
Robots can be moral agents when there is a sensible level of reflection or abstraction under which we should allow that the machine has self-sufficient expectations and duties. You shouldn't received same benefit and opportunities because you are fortunate. But somehow I sees it as unfair, people who have privileges, their parents or them as an individual worked for it, for them to live in a good life and for their future children and family. They thought that those who are privileged enough is being unfair to what they have right now, that they already has all while others doesn't have anything.

Based on the video clip that I've watched, robots/androids can have their own consciousness and can decide on their own, because humans programmed them to be the same as a normal person. Basically robots cannot be a moral agent, even if human can completely or successfully programmed them as a person. Robots can't be a moral agent. Dependent on the definition of moral agent above, it can only be defined for those who have freedom, robots do not have a freedom, they are just doing the things they are programmed to do so. All of their actions are limited only to what they processors can do, their creators have a higher percentage control over them and so resulting to the absence of rational capacity, all the information are collected and stored, it's just the matter of showing and using it when it is needed but there's no "thinking" process that is happening and so it is irrational. Robots cannot recognize ethical situations thus they have a system and program that will dictate them what to respond when certain circumstances arise.
The equity of life in todays time as a concept of fairness is not effective, what may seem fair is not fair at all, mentioning economic status and population in a family, if you were about to give 2 kilos to each and everyone for their lunch, you gave them an equal number of rice, do you think its fair? Is it fair to give 2 kilos of rice to high economic people who are not even economically bothered by the pandemic we have? Is it fair to give 2 kilos of rice to low economic people who have more than 5 members in the family for their lunch?
One thing that I am sure of in the consequences we are going to have with this concept of fairness is that, rich people will grow richer, and poor people will go poorer. We won't meet in the middle, worst, we are going apart from one another.

2. What are the consequences of the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is getting what you deserve or need base on your situation in life. When you think about equity it is good because you will get the same opportunities for example if other people can study in a good university you can study too. But no matter how good equity it has consequences because other people will take advantage of it.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Based on the blog, moral agents are human beings that have the capacity to identify what is wrong and what is right. And they can handle what could be the consiquences for their decisions made. And after watching the video, I think that robots or androids can't be a moral agent because in the first place they may not have the capability to identify if their actions are right and just do what is being programmed to them.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity is the quality of being fair to everyone, means that a person should have the same thing that others have. In todays situation, there are some consiquences when we apply the equity. Example is a situation that not all of us has the same needs but still we are treated equally. This shows that our life is not fair because some people are abusing what the society gives to them and other still suffer even they being treated the same.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
-For me robots can't be moral agents since robots mind are programmed as an artificial intelligence only. As the current technology that we have i think this is impossible.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-I think the consequence of equality of life is that human can't really accept the fact that all humans are equal and because of that very reason people intend to want more than what they already have and sooner or later become greed of their own possession

1. No, robots and androids cannot be moral agents. Moral agents are beings that could be able to think properly with their feelings and minds working together to formulat a good reasoning that will be beneficial for humans. Robots are a different story it can be subjected to thinking evil is good and good is evil so they cannot be moral agents.
2. Equity can be a source of unity between people as they give people what they need. They give opportunities to people for them to catch up and not left behind but somehow this can still backfire. Equity on the downside is like spoon feeding someone instead of letting them to improve on themselves. This can be a negative effect that the person would act lazy because he already know he would be given the chance that they need.

1. Moral agent is a person that has an ability to to descern right from wrong and be responsible to their actions because moral agent have a moral responsibility not to cause unjustified harm. For me it's No, In a past few decades robots have been part of our working environment. Robots and Androids has a circumstances that can be seen as a moral agents but we should not blame for a mistakes or bad consequences onto robot. We as humans needs to accept the responsibility for the robots and androids behavior because we are the one who made them.
2. In our today's life having an equity would be a great help for us because one of the main goal of equity is to achieve fairness in treatment and outcomes. Having a policies about equity can reduce poverty, reduce political conflict, fairness in social justice and and can turn into economic growth. I believe that having an equity can make us happier and healthier we can enjoy what we want and having healthy lives.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
- No, robot have personhood in order to be a moral agent. Robot requires to behave in a way that shows and understanding of responsibility to some other moral agent.
2. What are the consequences of the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity is being fare to each and every one. Even you are a celebrity you need to obey the rules like how the other people obey in it. No special treatment. However, equity of life as we have today in our society, it is imperishable to ecounter or experience the others special treatment in our life. Therefore being fair give us comfortable and inner piece to everyone.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
- No, robots/androids are not and cannot be moral agents. Because moral agent is defined as those who has the freedom and the rational capacity to be responsible for their choices. Therefore, a robot/android cannot be a moral agent since it cannot be held responsible for its actions.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
- Equity is good but there are still consequences. One of the consequences is that if it is being abused, for example, in our society we have the 4Ps which helps the poorest of the poor in our country, this project has good intention but some of those people are taking it for granted and are not acting to make their lives better. As it happens I do think that equity is unfair.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
Moral Agents can be defined to those who have freedom and rational capacity to be responsible for their choices. Moral agents infer that people have moral standing. However, it can be seen that robots or androids do not have the capacity to act freely, nor can they decide for themselves. They are coded and created by humans, they have zeros and ones instead of consciousness, and these can be manipulated or adjusted by any human as they see fit. So no, robots or androids do not have moral agent.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity refers to the provision of varying levels of support—based on specific needs—to achieve greater fairness of treatment and outcomes. And this, I think, has positive impacts. With equity, we are able to give and achieve fairness in treatment, allowing this to influence our society would help greatly in diminishing or at least lessen the harsh effects of social classes. Some may say that equity may be used but we should keep in mind that equity is assessing before supporting, and with assessment we can accurately provide the amount of support that we can give.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
Moral agents are those who have the ability to make moral judgments based on some notion of right and wrong and to be held accountable for these actions. However, on the video presented the robots resemble human beings in appearance and can perform functions in a humanlike manner
but they don't have consciousness and feelings like humans have. In order to be called a moral agent, one must have consciousness. Thus, robots cannot be called moral agents as they were programmed to do only what they ought to do.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
First let us define what is equity and what is equality. Equality means ensuring that everyone has the same opportunities and receives the same treatment and support. Equity, on the other hand, is about giving people what they need, in order to make things fair. In short, giving more to those who need it so they could reach and have the same opportunities that others have. Equality means giving everyone the same opportunities, but how can everyone have the same opportunities if some are receiving less support than they need in the name of equality? It is for this reason that equity plays a key role in ensuring equality. However, we must be cautious when dealing with equity; providing too little to those who need it and too much to those who do not can further exacerbate the inequalities we see today.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Moral agents are defined as beings or a person that has the ability to distinguish what is right and wrong and can be held accountable to his/her actions. Robots are somewhat not belongs to this because as we all know robots are programmed built by an individual without any feelings or own intelligence. Robots are controlled item and which is the reason why what a robot does the person who built it will always be the one who will be held accountable. In simple terms a robot is a machine can never act on its own without the control of a human .
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
The equity of life tells us to give people on what they need or what they lack in the society. We have different status in life so we have different need from each other. Equity help others who need what they lack the most to develop their life in the society.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
- At this case, robots or androids are merely created by a human being and input different ideas to create a "mind" or a "brain" for these robots. On the definition given, that moral agents considers those who can rarionally think and has the "sound of mind". These robots may be considered a "moral agent" on a factor of what is their limitations --- programmed thinking ---- is considered as their "rational thinking" and having the "sound of mind". People who created these robots nay include the standards and limitations of what should a person must do inside a society etc. On the other hand, it is still programmed and these robots may not know the idea of "conscience" and they might not consider the "ethical" one on the programmed "good" and "bad" on them.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
People deserves equity since we are all living in the same planet surrounded by pollution and economical issues. We as a human being deserve the equity since there are things that every individual needs to achieve and see for themselves. The consequences on the other side of this equity is that, there are people who are greedy for more. As we give the chances on anyone, there are still people who go beyond the limits of what they must receive.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
— For me,yes because robot moral agency requires the robot to behave in a way that shows and understanding of responsibility to some other moral agent. Robots with all of these criteria will have moral rights as well as responsibilities regardless of their status as persons.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
-There are many issue about equity in our economic and society. People deserves good and fair treatment from everyone. We are all humans that has to right to feel the fair treatment. Yet, there is not sufficient evidence on which dimensions of brand equity should be measured and monitored to support financial performance.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
Robots have an artificial intelligence made by its developer. But they are not capable of discerning what is right from wrong and to be held accountable for their actions because there are just programmed only to do some certain things. Unlike humans, who are capable to hold responsible for their actions and has a full mental capacity to understand and act responsibly.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
I think the consequence in the equity of life is being abusive in the understandment of others. Equity of life involves trying to understand and give people what they need to enjoy full, healthy lives. And also, differing treatment to make their opportunities the same as another's in order to make things fair. Sometimes here is a problem that some people are abusing the understandment of others because they think that they can be always forgive and understood by others and just repeating on wrong doings.

In my opinion, robot cannot be moral agents because technically they are programme to control there mind and action. They can't definitely not distinguish if they are doing wrong and right cause basically they have a chip on their minds and following orders.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity, as we have seen, involves trying to understand and give people what they need to enjoy full, healthy lives. The consequences of this is some peope abused and be judge is easily of what they are doing the in life. They maybe taken for granted and manipulate other people to enjoy their life. That's what they called it being in a healthy lives and enjoying life.

CAN ROBOTS/ ANDROIDS BE MORAL AGENTS?
BASED ON THE MOVIE THEY DO, ROBOTS ARE CAPABLE OF HAVING MORAL BEHAVIORS. THIS IS SEEN ON THE LATER PART OF THE MOVIE WHEN ROBOTS HAVE THEIR OWN WAY OF INTERACTING TO IN THE OUTSIDE WORLD. HOWEVER, SINCE THEY HAVE AI (ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE) UNLIKE HUMANS THE MOVE ACCORDING TO ETHICAL THEORIES, VIRTUAL ETHICS AND BASIC HUMAN COMMUNICATION AND INTERACTION WHICH WAS PROGRAMMED TO THEM.
WHAT ARE THE CONSEQUENCES ABOUT THE EQUITY OF LIFE AS WE KNOW IT TODAY?
BASED ON MY UNDERSTANDING, EQUITY ALSO HAS REPERCUSSIONS WHICH WILL AFFECT MOST PEOPLE WHO ARE MORE ADVANTAGED AND WELL-OFF. RICH PEOPLE WON’T BE NEEDING ANY MONETARY HELP OR DONATIONS FROM OTHER PEOPLE UNLIKE THOSE OF THE POOR ONES. AND WHEN WE SAY EQUITY, ONLY THOSE WHO NEEDED IT THE MOST ARE PRIORITIZED. IN CASE OF EQUALITY ALL PEOPLE, RICH OR POOR WILL HAVE THE CHANCE TO BE PROVIDED EQUALLY.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
In my opinion, robots can't be moral agents because their actions are limited unlike humans. They also don't have feelings or emotions so they don't have the tendency to think. To be a moral agent means to be responsible for one's moral actions. However, robots are only computer programmed, without telling it what to do, it would just be another piece of machinery.
2. What are the consequences about equity of life as we know it today?
As we all know, equity is the quality of treating individuals fairly based on their needs. It ensures that all the individuals are provided the resources they need to have access to the same opportunities. And I don't think it has a consequences or negative impact on the society. In fact, it is important because it contributes to the society.

1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
No, Robots are made by mankind with the use of technology but that does not mean that a robot can be considered a moral agent due to the fact that the robot is invented by human that have been programmed and have memory or chip that is used to function its movement and decision so that they are not accountable for their action but only human does who created them.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity of life today are giving/providing the needs of people based on their situation in life. The consequences of having equity of life today is that we as a people may take advantage of it, some people become greedy and selfish for themselves in order to get what he/she want, we in the Philippines we could not really guarantee a fair outcome in this situation interms of that we must think and help fairly so that everyone can meet the equity in our life.
1. Can robots/androids be moral agents?
ReplyDeleteIt usefully reminds us of the limited abilities of robots, and provides a helpful antidote to the strong claims and warnings sometimes made about them. We should not offload blame for mistakes or bad consequences onto robots. Emphasising human responsibility for robot behaviour should help to restrict the possible harmful uses to which robots could be put. However humans need to accept responsibility for robot behaviour and in that it is commendable.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Using robotic automation to tackle repetitive tasks makes complete sense. Robots are designed to make repetitive movements. Humans, also by design, are not. The introduction of automation into your manufacturing process has many different productivity benefits, some of which are shown here.

1. Can robots/ androids be moral agents?
The moral agents are defined as a person or beings that has the ability to distinguish what is right and wrong and can be held accountable to his / her actions. Robots are machines built and programmed by a person who is a moral agent. Meaning robots can be manipulated, whatever a person does the robot will always be who built the one who will be held accountable.
2. What are the consequences about the equity of life as we know it today?
Equity of life gives the people what they want and what they need that differs from every other person that we can call fairness in society. However, the consequences of this is that some people never learn to be contented and they envy other people with what they do not need because they wanted to be treated equally and not through equity. The community is carrying each other’s burden in order to create a fair society. Some may take advantage of this.
