1. What values can be deducted in the history of guidance and counseling in the Philippines?
> I think none can be deducted because all the values are for the own good of the FIlipino but it will continue to develop for the better future of every citizen of Philippine country.
2. Why does it usually reflect a religious background the pioneers of guidance and counseling in the Philippines?
> I think because of the influence of Spanish colonization with the Catholicism, but I think counselling here in the Philippines saw that tapping the faith or spiritual health of a person helps them response to their needs.

> I think yes because guidance and counselling is an institutional and non governmental organization, I don't if license must consider but if the church only care for his people I think it will not be needed but I think they need to have a practice first.

2. Pioneers of guidance and counselling in the Philippines usually reflects on religious backgrounds because it is the foundation of every Filipino, we were been captured and influenced by other countries by means of sharing their religious beliefs the reason why most of the Filipinos rely on it.
3. Yes, because base on its historical background, guidance and counselling has a religious background which means that it is part of our culture and it has will make a big impact on every church members because in our culture we value what our church leaders says.

1. The values deducted in counseling into the Philippine context is "support", as we have discussed the importance of guidance in counselling toward people, by curing their mental issues and correcting, and guiding students for their careers, even they know this they never have fully recognized the counseling on our country. Somehow i think it is because of their wrong perspective, and small knowledge with regard in counseling.
2. I think because they knew religious practices and its teaching molding the behavior of people, yet the people need as well spiritual growth for strenghthening their life more. The people see pastors, priest etc. have the ability to solve their problem by listening inspirational words, or advices coming from them. Additionally I see that the church have the practices of counseling but just only a little, they provide advices and other thing that connects in guidance in counseling, i think it is the reason why they reflect to the religious background specifically in the philippines.
3. In my own perspective I think no, the counsellors gave their efforts and time to study and researching in about theory, or on how they can able to reach the clients. They are fully equip and knowledgeable in their profession. Yet we see that the counselling is not an easy profession, it takes process, and need of patience. Hence the program should only be implemented for those who are studied in counseling, yes we see churches can do counsel by giving some advice, but in the deeper concept it is the responsibility of the counsellors, because they study and researching on how to medicate the client in appropriate medication.

For me as a Filipino we all know that we are great in terms of Loyalty, and in terms of answering the question about the which values we need to deduct in the history of Guidance and counseling i think there is no reason to deduct some values that Filipino's have, because our values is the main reason why are country was still developing and times goes by that values that we have can be the reason of our successful.

maybe because some of the counselor used it as a foundation in terms of counseling because in counseling it is also a strategy that in order for the client tell and be comfortable to the counselor the counselor must know how to build a good relationship in order for both of them discuss the issues properly.

Absolutely Yes, because we all know that counseling is a very sensitive programs and the local church is sacred and I think both of them have a authority on how to handle some counseling program, because the member of the local church know also what is the needs of their congregation the local church can also give an advice to their member by relying on their experiences and also in the biblical principles.

There is no values that should be deducted in the history of philipiine's guidance and counseling. Every values that has been included has reasons, and those reasons are for the good of the filipinos.
2. Why does it usually reflect a religious background the pioneers of guidance and counseling in the Philippines?
Filipinos are very religious, before the Spanish colonized the philippines and became a Christian country, we have various kinds of worship, we worship anitos, moon, we believe in various kinds of gods, and our values reflects on it. Perhaps, we could easily handle people's emotiona and thinking capacity through putting the perspective of religion, because we are so religious that we make decisions that are religiously correct.

Yes! as long as there is qualified person to do the guidance and counseling which is in accordance to guidance and counseling act of 2004.

For me there are no values that should be deducted in the history of guidance and counseling in the Philippines because the guidance and counseling of the Philippines is important because it helps every Filipino and continues to guide every citizen.

For me pilipino are very religious people Because religion may affect a wide range of personal issues, counselors must consider that their clients' religious value systems may affect the presenting issues. For example, clients with higher levels of religious commitment are more likely to want counselors with similar values.

- For me we don't need to deducted those values in the history of guidance and counseling in the Philippines because I know that those values are important and it gives the idea on how to handle the person.
