 I. Introduction




What is mental health?

It’s an expression we use every day, so it might surprise you that the term ‘mental health’ is frequently misunderstood.

‘Mental health’ is often used as a substitute for mental health conditions – such as depressionanxiety conditions, schizophrenia, and others.

According to the World Health Organization, however, mental health is “a state of well-being in which every individual realises his or her own potential, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to her or his community.”

So rather than being about ‘what’s the problem?’ it’s really about ‘what’s going well?'

Mental health is a buzz word today. Sometimes people use the term mental health to direct attentions to one's psycho-social well being in a negative and demeaning way. 

For guidance counselors, the issue of mental health is taken seriously. Mental health is a sign of a persons capability to function normally and productively in society.

Mental health is the capacity of a person to realize his full potential, If a persons mental capacity is healthy he can able to perform well on commitments like job, family relationship, friends etc. He will also able to make decision not just for him but for his family. Therefore, having a stable mental health will help you to be productive and cope up with some stresses in your life.

    2. The importance of mental health in every individual is to make themselves free in every stress in life specially in our current situation. People have a strong mental health can cope with every stress, and they will make a way to maintain productive.
    3. Being a believer one thing I do during this pandemic is to read bible every night before I go to sleep, in this way my self think positively, have hope everyday. Also reading bible is my one outlet to feel comfortable , the prayer strenthgtens faith and establish hope in peoples life. I recommend for all people especially for those who value the Word of God, to read it and apply it, it can foster every aspect on your life. However instead of online games, read encouragable and motivational books, it can exercise our brain through reading and it can be your outlet to release stress.

    >> it is something that should not be ignored, because it is a very big issue for people how to think, and how to find a way to the things that are happening in this world.

    >> Mental health is very important in everyone's well being because if we do not clear our minds or thoughts, it can make us crazy or mentally ill. so if the physical body is taken care of so is mental health too.

    >>> for me it is better to pray for our selves, for our health, spirituality, and to our whole being in order for us to prevent mental health issue in this pandemic period.

    I think it is very important thing to watch how mental health of one's being is doing. Because mental health keep us on track. We get to think much more easier especially when we have problems that needed to be solve. Mental health balances our physical and emotional state. I think one's our mental health destroyed our physical and emotional well being is not okay as well.

    3. What practical tips can a believer do to maintain mental health during this pandemic of COVID 19?

    I think meditating the word of God day and night. It will keep your well being positive and hopeful before you start your day and before you go to sleep.

    1. Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well- being. It affects how we think, feel, and act.

    2. Being mentally healthy is good, why? Because if the person is not mentally healthy it will affect how they act, it will lead to behavioral issues that can be hard to restrain.

    2.Mental health is just as important as physicalhealth and need equal attention. Learning about mental and psychological well being needs to be taught from early days at school. Having a healthy routine and taking care of oneself, guarding against being overwhelmed by stress and developing good interpersonal boundaries are at the foundation of mental health.

    3. It is important, as a believer to know how to manage our mental health especially during this kind of pandemic situation through reading bible and continous in praying.

    1. What is Mental health?
    According to Wikipedia Mental health, defined by the World Health Organization, is “a state of well-being in which the individual realizes his or her own abilities, can cope with the normal stresses of life, can work productively and fruitfully, and is able to make a contribution to his or her community”.

    2. Importance of Mental health
    Mental illnesses affect 19% of the adult population, 46% of teenagers and 13% of children each year. People struggling with their mental health may be in your family, live next door, teach your children, work in the next cubicle or sit in the same church pew. However, only half of those affected receive treatment, often because of the stigma attached to mental health. Untreated, mental illness can contribute to higher medical expenses, poorer performance at school and work, fewer employment opportunities and increased risk of suicide.

    - According to what I've read it says that Mental health includes our emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It affects how we think, feel, and act. It also helps determine how we handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

    - As a believer to maintain mental health during this pandemic of COVID 19 one thing that we need to do is always pray and meditate God's word never let yourself on a negative things because having a positive mindset will help to maintain our mental health.
