 I. Introduction

Counseling is helping a person find direction in his life and sometimes courage to do the right thing. There are many ways to help a person but counseling has been used many times in advice giving, coaching and other problem solving skills. 

However, there are some legal parameters that a person needs to understand when he talks about counseling.

    A. Counseling is a kind of therapy that talking to one person face-to-face with his/her situation she/he going through. It is more on emotional issues.
    B. Guidance is giving advices, opinions and information to a person and helping to resolve problem in difficult situation.
    C. Guidance services is helping a person or a student when it comes in emotional, personal development and encouragements. Helping them to know themselves better than what think and solve their daily issues.
    D. Education is a process wherein a person/child or a student would learn, it could be skills, values, knowldege, morals, habits, beliefs etc. That student may develop themselves.
    2. For me, counseling is really important because some problem or sickness couldn't healed my a medicine from any hospital, like in anxiety and depression. Counseling/counselor has a big role to those who are suffering in mental disease, talking face-to-face, asking her/his situation, listening to his/her rants/stories is a big factor. Asking some questions and let your patient talk about it through that your patient may feel comfortable and give his/her trust to you. So, counseling is very important in this society.
    3. A Good counselor is the one who are trying to help a person in his/her condition. No personal judgement, just let your patient talk and let and do on how you could help to overcome or resolve the problem that he/she going through.

    According to the American Counseling Association, counseling is defined as, "a professional relationship that empowers diverse individuals, families, and groups to accomplish mental health, wellness, education, and career goals." Counseling involves helping people make needed changes in ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving, and is a goal-based collaborative process, involving a non-judgmental, supportive counselor who works with a client in telling his or her story, setting viable goals, and developing strategies and plans necessary to accomplish these goals. For some people this process takes a small amount of time, in some cases as little as one or two sessions; for others, the process may last longer.
    2. WHAT IS GUIDANCE?
    Guidance facilitates people throughout their lives to manage their own educational, training, occupational, personal, social, and life choices so that they reach their full potential and contribute to the development of a better society. This is the agreed definition of guidance of the National Forum on Guidance (2004)

    3. WHAT IS GUIDANCE SERVICE?
    Guidance Services Guidance- a more or less general term to connote both systematic or unsystematic and informal means toward assisting an individual. Guidance Services- include only all systematic and organized procedures and facilitates the same end. May be defined as a group of services to individuals to assist them in securing knowledge and skills needed in making plans and devices, and in interpreting life.

    4. WHAT IS CHRISTIAN EDUCATION?
    Christian education invites young people to see and understand the world through the perspective of God’s truth. The Bible becomes the lens in which students view what they are learning. The lens focusses their thinking on ultimate truth–a biblical vision for life where the world is created and sustained by God; where God has acted in history to deal with the distortions of creation caused by human rebellion

    5. WHAT IS EDUCATION?
    Education is the process of facilitating learning, or the acquisition of knowledge, skills, values, morals, beliefs, and habits. Educational methods include teaching, training, storytelling, discussion and directed research





    6. WHAY COUNSELING IS IMPORTANT?
    provided by trained professionals can make a profound impact on the lives of individuals, families and communities. This service helps people navigate difficult life situations, such as the death of a loved one, divorce, natural disasters, school stress and the loss of a job.

    7. WHAT MAKES A GOOD COUNSELOR?

    a. Counseling - it is a psychological specialization through the other person whether it is individual, or in married couples who are experiencing bad things or experience in their entire life, they may help people to cope up on those troubles on their lives.

    b. Guidance- it refer to the capacity to gave an advice to the person to avoid mistakes and act properly in every situation.

    c. Guidance Services- it is gathering data or information in particular person to know their interest and after that they may help them to achieve those things according on what the interest of a person had.

    For my own perspective A good counselor should be rooted on Gods word, they should be founded in good character, and open to hear and understand the problem of a person. Being founded in Gods, word having good works and not judgemental is the things makes the counselor good.

    a. Counseling- it is a process where two people are having a vert purposeful conversation wherein they are going to talk about something very personal and seel for its solution. It is done between one person helps another.

    b. Guidance-it refers to something very essential since it can be a great advice or an information from the experience of other that usually aims to solve problems or improved something. Aside from that, guidance is also a process of helping people to develop and discover themselves even more particularly their potential.

    b. Guidance – Guidance means “to direct” or “to show path” providing some help or assistance to somebody who needs it by somebody who are capable enough to give the appropriate ways on how to meet certain goal.
