Feelings and Reason

 I. Introduction:

Man is a homo sapien- thinking man. Even though man claims that he has the rational faculties that are above all other animals- he is still subject to the laws of nature. He can do things rationally in order to survive. He can make tools and other things that will ensure his security and safety.

However, there are cases that his feelings and emotions destroy his rationality and cognitive abilities.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

I think the value of man’s feelings in connection to his survival skills is the eagerness or wanting to live the life. Our ancestors according to the history they did everything explore, discover, invent and etc just to make their life because they wanted to survive they found food, made shelter, made tools, and many other things. Basically, the man’s feelings are really connected to the survival skill because what human’s feel they will act on it accordingly. As to life you will do everything to pass through all the challenges.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

The conflict between emotions and reason on reaching one’s own potential should not occur but unfortunately it really does exist because sometimes the emotions take over the whole human actions or simply people tend to listen and follow only what he or she feels without considering if it is reasonable. The conflict should not be there because both emotions and reasons are parts of reaching one’s own potential and for you to understand everything. Thus, the two have significant roles in Human Development but should be balanced or considered both before making an action or decisions.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes it can because ethics does not mean being right is always being with the majority instead even if you are alone you can stand to what is right. Although it may cause some conflicts or challenges for you because it could be the right for you is not right for other people yet the important thing is you have to stand with what you think is right and prove it that your action is ethical.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Our feelings play an important role in how we think and behave. The feelings we feel every day can propel us to make a move and impact the choices we make. We experience some pretty exceptional feelings when we're in some extreme states. Our feelings help to make us aware of our actual circumstance and help control decisions that at last should become actual decisions. Feelings or emotions serve a versatile part in our lives by propelling us to act rapidly and make moves that will boost our odds of survival and achievement.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

There is a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one’s own potential. Sometimes, people are overpowered by their emotion influencing their decisions and behaviors in life. We tend to follow what’s on our mind instead of doing what is ought to. Pride, particularly, is one of the reason why conflict arises but can still play an important role in reaching own potentials.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Ethical actions are greatly influenced by our feelings. Sometimes, we become subjective in doing actions. For example, we tend to protect and do everything for our family because we love them, even though they are in wrong position. Our feelings play an important role in guiding us in making ethical decisions. Thus, an ethical action can be made on feelings alone.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Human live because everyone of us tries to survive we get what is needed it may be food, shelter or clothing’s humans before live because they choose to live they hunt food and satisfy what they are feeling until today there are people that feels that they need to do work or else they will not survive they need to provide survivability from themselves and also for their family, we need to survive to sustain our live this feeling is attached to because we will do any means to survive and provide ourselves to survive. Our feelings have a factor when where having our decision but when you should decide you should think what is logical and make this decision right.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

All humans have emotions and that is what makes them unique our choices may be determined or decided by our reasons we all have a reason on why we are doing an action and why do we do it. Reaching one’s own potential is mastering one’s emotions choosing the what is right and knowing what to act should not be swayed by one’s emotions doing something that is based on emotions and not on logical thinking may affect the outcome of a situation. Deciding on emotion-based reasoning may lead to quick decision but not an effective and efficient one choosing what is rational and factual is will always be better.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Not all actions can be made by feelings alone because deciding what you feel is not enough to make a conclusion, people’s thinking are different and unique from each other and deciding what they feel rather than what is logical may have some objection. When people feel angry they make sudden decision like doing physical harm or saying something inappropriate there are also people when they feel sad they decide on not giving attention to the problem and sometimes when they are happy they feel overly confident on their actions. When deciding your feelings is not the priority but what is right and rational thing to do.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

The value of man’s feeling in connection to the survival skills is that the man’s feeling would be the motivation or willingness to do the certain skills that will make him survive. Our feelings is the way on how we will do such things. It’s because it will start on how you will feel on the things you will do. If you feel motivated, you’ll probably to the survival skills of yours with all your eagerness since you are motivated.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

I think there’s a conflict between emotions and reasons in reaching one’s own potential. It’s because sometimes we tend to decide based on our emotions but not on the things that we must. For example, you are angry because your friend did not gave you food and started to ignore your friend. But the fact that you decided to ignore your friend because you are angry instead of deciding to understand the situation on why your friend did not gave you food.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

For me yes. It’s because in every ethical action it has relation on the feelings we have. We make this action because we have this feeling of willingness. Also our feelings is sometimes the way in which on how we will do the action we’ll make.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

One's emotions play a vital role in how they would think and act. The feelings we have on our daily lives urges us to take actions and also influences our decisions. The feeling of the need to survive serves as our adaptive role in our lives through motivating and encouraging us to immediately act in relevance to what the environment is providing us and it makes us show our appropriate skills that contributes in achieving survival.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

A conflict between emotions and reasons sometimes do occur in reaching one's own potential. There are circumstances that our emotions overpower our reasons. Some people get easily swayed by extreme emotions making them to disregard their reasons in making such decisions. It makes our rationality blinded. Using both is significant for it helps us see the different aspects of the situation and provides us a helping hand in analyzing. Thus, emotions and reason should work together in making choices in order to come up with a right decision.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

One's emotions/feelings play an important role in making most of our ethical decisions. It directs us to our moral choices. Empathy and sympathy often lead us to act ethically to other people. Although there are instances that relying to feelings alone in making choices leads to negative results, it does not guarantee that all emotion-based actions are unethical. Our feelings are powerful. It can either give positive or negative outcomes but, it is still possible to make an ethical action by solely relying on one's own feelings.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

I think yes. Because there are times that people are carried by their emotion that affects their decision. Sometimes, because of too much emotion, the planned or final decision is no longer fulfilled. In that case, that affects a person's potential.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes it can be. When we talk about ethics it does not necessarily mean being or doing the right thing. Your only goal is to fulfill your perspective and what you think is right. Although its outcome may be bad or good, the important thing is you did what you think is right for you even if the society is opposing.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
A human feelings plays a crucial role to man’s survival capabilities because our feelings are valid and it is the driving force behind many of our behaviors, whether helpful or not. As we know, man is the highest form of animal which means, man was given a bigger role to be kind, compassionate and be aware. Man is capable of doing anything possible because of his survival instinct. If it’s time for lunch, we eat our lunch because if not we’ll get stomached, and that is the result of our emotional responses. Our feelings forced us to seek and adapt to survive.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Yes, the struggle between reasons and emotions leads us to difficult environment. It’s like reasons identify "mind" and "heart" is the emotion. Conflicts between the mind and heart are conflicts between identified concepts and unidentified concepts that cause automatic emotional responses. Therefore conflicts between the heart and mind are ultimately conflicts between thoughts in mind. Such conflicts cannot be resolved by ignoring reason. They are only resolved by using reason to identify subconscious thoughts and integrating them with concepts as derived from reality. Therefore, reason (the mind) ultimately has primacy over emotion (the heart).

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
No it cannot. As we had discussed about moral agents, a person won’t be considered as moral agent if he is not capable of thinking rationally. This only means, feelings alone cannot make an ethical decisions or actions; it should have to be with rationality. Yes emotions do contribute to our actions but an ethical actions, it must be emotions and rational thinking.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

I think human feelings plays a big part on how we should think and act in every situation. Our feelings help us cope and survive in a situation we face. The emotions that we always feel help us in making a decision if we feel something that is not right our body will response on what we think.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes there is because sometimes our reason doesn't fit our emotion. For example when we are mad we always decide base on what we feel and we do not consider if there is a reason behind it or sometimes we always consider our reason just to protect our emotions. Our reason and emotion seems to have a body that will react based on what we feel so there is a conflict in reaching our potential.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

For me I think yes because when it comes to being ethical we response based on what we think is right and if we react on our feelings alone there is a big possibility that it is exactly what we want to do. But we should always remember that in making a decision alone we must consider our surroundings.

The value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills is their own living purposes. Man's feeling are always present for them to survive. Before, human learn how to travel using their barefoot just to survive if they feel that the place are lack of their needs, they choose to go to another place where resources or their needs are available.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

There's a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential. Sometimes, because of our emotions, we are being lack of knowledge and can done or commit a mistakes which will affect our own choice or potential. The individual emotions of human can build a conflict, once a human decide using their emotions, there's a big chance that the outcome of choices they made are not appropriate to what they want.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes, because, According to American Ethical Union, Ethical Action is an expression of our core commitments to honor the worth of all people, cultivate relationships, and build justice. You can decide alone, but, there's no clearly information can build because no one can contradict your beliefs. You can make an ethical action, but that action is not valuable, your action are just base on what you think is right. Sometimes, if you think that is the right one, in others it is not.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

-A man's feeling is connected to his survival skills, because of his eagerness to live, it shows his potential to the limits. Because of feelings, the thinking and understanding of human can reach to the peak. Example of this is when you are facing a tiger in the wild, you can feel your emotions swelling up with fear, desperation and many more. And, because of that feeling, your potentials and emotions play a part to survive, your desperation to live and fear for your life.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

-There shouldn't be a conflict between emotions and reason, because both are dependent with each other especially, if its reaching one's own potential. Human, reasons, because emotions played a part of it. However, if a person experience an overwhelming feelings of emotion, then there will be a conflict between them, because it will imbalance the rationality and cognitive abilities of a person. Emotion will overwhelm the reason of a person leading to a hazy thinking and a flop of its potential.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

-Yes, because human tend to be selfish sometimes. A person can be subjective to take action based on feelings alone. Ethical action is not just an influence of the majority, but what you think is the right thing to do in a certain things. Because of feelings, we created a better society. If there is no feelings, then the world will be doomed to be destroyed by cruelty and violence. Our ethical action sometimes is based on our feelings and willingness to be subjective to take action.

For me Yes, that there are conflict beetwen the emotion and reason because we can say that our Reason is our mine while the emotion is our heart that every decision we make is we always think for the best for us but how if your decision can affect other life in that time our heart is affecting our decision making because our heart or our emotion is we cannot handle it. That's why i think there are conflict between the two because sometime reason is not match on our feelings or our feelings does not match our reason.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
The feelings we have always play a big connection with our survival skills. Survival skills are strategies that a person may use in order to sustain life. We as humans use our emotions in order for us to do some activities. When we feel that we are hungry, we find food and we cook to have food that we can eat. Our emotions pursue the things we want.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
I believe that there is a conflict between emotions and reasons in reaching our own potential. There are times in our life that the emotions our emotions overpower us. We tend to forget what is the true meaning of something because of the emotion we feel. For example when we are angry we say bad things, we act inappropriately we can see how the emotions overpower us.
For that reason we can’t reach our own potential.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotional and reason in reaching one's own potential.

The emotions we feel serves an adaptive roles in our lives, it is one of our important motivators, we are performing actions based on what we feel and what will satisfy ourselves, and that is how our feelings helps us to maximize our chances for survival and success.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - There are times that we do actions that are not supposed to perform but unfortunately we tend to commit or act it. Moreover, even though our feelings is one of the factors that helps us to decide on what actions we are performing, still feelings alone cannot make ethical actions for the reason that, to be able to perform actions that are ethical, you should have the ability to think rationally to consider performing right or wrong and not just feelings alone.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Fear, like many emotions, is closely linked to survival. We are brave enough to see how we will survive in that kind of specific situations that may hard for us. It has a connection because you will react if there is something wrong or there is something that you are uncomofortable with. We are afraid of things that threaten our life, and an adrenaline reaction (which normally means that we are motivated to fight' or 'flight') controls our response.
When you are worried that you will not survive anything, being afraid tells you.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

I think theres a conflict between them. Like anything else that affects action, emotions are a human capacity by which we make sense of and evaluate our surroundings. So, emotions are important in reaching ones own potential and how they may affect the surroundings. However, like any capacity, emotions must be developed. This is particularly the case when attempting to evaluate proper ends and fit means. Emotions mature, but they do so by testing and reflection. Consequently, reason is necessary, not simply as an objective tool by which one cooly evaluates right and wrong, but as a tool to engage and mold one’s emotions so that they are tuned toward the good.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

I think yes, many people do not know how much their thoughts influence their moral decisions. Yet experts think it is difficult without feelings to make any major moral decisions. ... Emotions evoked by pain, such as remorse and compassion, frequently lead individuals to behave ethically towards others.

-A man are inherently social creatures. As far back, humans have traveled, hunted, and thrived in social groups and permanently reason. Humans who were separated from their tribe often suffered severe consequences. Social groups provide us with a crucial a part of our identity, and quite that, they teach us a group of skills that help us to measure our lives. Moreover, Feeling well-connected , especially in an increasingly isolated world, is more important than ever. The benefits of social connectedness shouldn’t be overlooked.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
-Emotions have signal value to others and influence others and our social interactions. Emotions and their expressions communicate information to others about our feelings, intentions, relationship with the target of the emotions, and therefore the environment. Because emotions have this communicative signal value, they assist solve social problems by evoking responses from others, by signaling the character of interpersonal relationships, and by providing incentives for desired social behavior.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
-Emotions, that's to mention feelings and intuitions, play a serious role in most of the moral decisions people make. Most people don't realize what proportion their emotions direct their moral choices. On the other hand, it's impossible to form any important moral judgments without emotions. Emotions evoked by suffering, like sympathy and empathy, often lead people to act ethically toward others. Indeed, empathy is that the central moral emotion that the majority commonly motivates prosocial activity like altruism, cooperation, and generosity.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

It greatly influences man's decisions in life. In terms of survival, the example is about people who committed suicide, their emotions/feeling of emptiness and depression affects their cognitive ability and allows them to think negatively, resulting to suicidal thoughts and taking their own lives, leading to death. They didn't survive.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes. There are times when we are neglecting opportunities just because we don't feel like it. We depend our decisions on our current emotions, which is not good. You wasted a day just because you're in a bad mood, well in fact you can finish half of your school requirements if you choose to spent it wisely. You didn't attend your class just because you're mad at your classmate, well in fact you can nailed a quiz and recitation if you set your emotions aside.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes. For example, there are personalities who always isolatesl theirselves, even though they know someone is in need of help, they choose to ignore it so they won't be noticed or given any attention. Whenever they notice something that is needed to be changed or be helped, they always ignore it, they don't want anyone to notice them or even feel their existence. They isolates theirselves from people. But there's this one day that something good happened that's why they feel so great, and everything happens naturally, they helped people and changed some things or events in my life.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

On surviving a situation, our feelings or emotions are being tested therefore the value of man's feelings is valid on his decision to take an action for his survival skills. And to point that a man's feeling is valid for him to survive is that he value his life so much or there are reasons for him to stay alive because of his goals. To think that a man's feeling is valid therefore all human being's feelings are valid and will result to thinking and considering the value of a man's feelings in connection to his survival skills. These feelings will test the morality of a one person of considering an action that will result to good or evil.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

There is always a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential because of the possibilities of the outcome either it is good or bad. We are being held up of our sudden change of emotions such as fear and excitement that will lead to impulsive decision making. There are a lot of reasons to do a such thing but in the end we are always considering what is more "practical". Or there are chances that we choose only what we currently have. Therefore, emotions and reasons has a conflict on reaching one's own potential.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes, because we value things or being. We are responsible of the things that we do and how we must repay the value you invested to a being or a thing. We value things or a being base on the feelings alone. Feelings may be happiness and sadness, fear and being angry, these feeling will lead us to do such an action either we think or not. Ethical action can be made when one person achieve his responsibility , for example love, you won't hurt, give bruise and trauma to your partner when you value him/her that much which is the 'love'. Therefore, on responsibilities like this, a being or a thing demand the same emotions that you felt and give the responsibilities that he/she needs.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
-Man's feeling has an impact to his survival skills. His feeling of eagerness and motivation to survive will help him not to give up and continue with his life. One's feeling is very important in decision making, because it how we feel about one thing create a big effect on what choice we will choose. We feel more motivated to survive when we truly feel it.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
-Yes, because emotions will affect the reasoning of one person. When one person is driven by his emotion, he will tend to give reasons that are based on how he feel and not on the logical side. That's why I do believe that we should not decide or give reasons when our emotions are strong because our emotions or moods changes from time to time, so we might regret what we have said after and it might cause conflicts.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
-Ethical actions can be made on feelings alone. We act based on what we feel sometimes. Being ethical doesn't really mean doing what is right, it means knowing what is right and wrong but it is really up to us if what we will choose. When we feel something, it will be the basis of our actions.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Feelings greatly affects a man's decision-making. It can change a person for the moment or even for a lifetime. Let's say that you are flawlessly skillful when it comes to survival, feelings and emotions can cloud your mind and mess your system of thoughts, destroying you from the inside. It can even get you killed, worse comes to worst. It has every effect on a man's survival skills no matter the reasons behind be it good or bad intentions.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes. While reason is trying hard to get you to do something, emotions can interfere it. For example fear, which is the most common reason for anyone trying to do something new, fear can do more than get nervous about certain something, it can get you traumatized leaving you not being able to do that thing for the rest of your life and leaving behind the will to do that thing. It requires the strongest of will to get through it.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes, that is on the smallest matters. But when it comes to something bigger, something that involves a huge range let's say the world, it should'nt ever be considered as a factor of decision-making. Letting yourself be affected by feelings and emotions while deciding about a big matter will give you the baddest of decisions. True that it can give you the answer to what is right and what is wrong but in the end, when you let yourself be taken over by things such as feelings, you'll lose sight of other things as well as the true target of your decision-making.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

It’s been stated that years of revolution, negative emotions are the body’s way of survival. Positive emotions get triggered when we are in a safe and happy space, while negative emotions get triggered when we are faced situations or things that causes us distress or posed a danger to our lives. Indeed, we feel fear when we are at a great height or when facing an angry person because our body is aware that there is a threat that could get us hurt. Indeed, there are moments that emotions are sourced from less than rational reasons from an outside perspective, because of a disorder or unbalanced brain chemicals, but that’s outside the person’s control, and thus not their fault. All too often we hear well-intentioned but potentially damaging encouragement of writing off negative emotions, or perhaps even that emotions if the antithesis to logic and thus an antithesis to survival, which requires one to be pragmatic. But what those people failed to realize is that one’s emotions is inherent in logical reasoning and decision that we would make. These feelings existed for a reason, these feelings are part of us, and thus why it’s important to listen to them. The brain is not as foolish as one would think.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Indeed, there can be. Emotions are a mixed bag – it can help us progress and be detrimental at times. Humans in general, want to avoid feeling miserable or anything negative as much as possible. And thus, we find ways to ignore or avoid feeling those things, including actions that are important, but does not necessarily makes us feel good. It makes it easy to write off those actions, but as a result we become stagnant. We focus more on what we want, we reason based on what makes us feel good, however those would be the very things that keeps us trapped in our comfort zone. Humanity progressed because of risks, and we learned because of our mistakes, not achievements. Oftentimes, the best thing you could do for yourself is to focus on what needs to be done.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Potentially. One of the common reasons for our compassion and desire to do good is borne out of empathy of how others feel. You can feel their misery, helping them stops them being miserable, and as a result, you stop being miserable yourself. A lot of our morality is something that we’ve learned over time, but humanity always had an inherent form of ethics.

-The man's feelings can affect his survival skills because it can stop him from killing his predator even though it will harm him. Plus the man can lose his will to survive and he might give up on his life.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
-Yes, a reasoning of a person is inevitably affected by his/her emotions. Whenever a person is getting carried away by his/her emotions, they start to do things that is not reasonable, because that is what their emotions tell them. Even though we are the best at what we do, if a person is sad, even though he like what he is doing, he will end up not doing it because he don't have the motivation to do so.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - Every feeling or emotions plays an important role on how human would act and responds on a certain situation. These so called emotion that we feel every day is somewhat connected on our survival skills since it influences the decisions that we will make. Man’s feelings actually boils up our motivation to survive in any situation that we’ll encounter. The best emotion that I could correlate into helping us to survive is fear since it saves a lot of people from danger.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - Yes, there’s a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one’s own potential. There are times wherein we decide and act only based on our emotions without any good reason and it somewhat ends into something we regret. We are easily being devoured by our emotions that we became unreasonable and it is not really good. There are also times wherein we decide and act only based on our specific reason that disregard the feelings of other people. In conclusion, I could say that these two should work together so that we could be able to reach our own potential, so that we could decide well.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - Yes, there are times that ethical action can be made on feelings alone. Feelings or emotion plays an important role in any decisions that we make, ethical or unethical. Being able to feel something is actually a gift that we should be thankful since we could experience how other people feel whenever we do an ethical action. What I’m trying to say is that emotions help us feel empathy and sympathy to other people and this helps us to act ethical to them. But we shouldn’t just decide based on our feelings alone, we should also think and try to be reasonable.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Emotions can somewhat motivates us to take some action for example when you know you`ll face a difficult exam, you might just feel anxious about what will happen, if you will perform well or not or how this exam will affect your final grade that can actually affect your future self. because of this particular emotion you will be more eager to study and since you experience to have this anxiety of getting a good grade, you had the motivation to take action.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Actually there is because of emotion a person tends to neglect his/her logical reason which affects the action he/she'll do. For example you have a very good idea on how you will do the project you were given but its too risky because there is just a limited time to complete that psrticular project and you know you'll fail if you didnt finish it on time because of this fear of failure you will choose to neglect your own idea which is better and do a mediocre project to have a fully prepared project on time.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

If you’ve heard of the Trolley Problem. It’s a dilemma used to study moral thinking, and it goes something like this: If you see an out of control trolley bearing down on five innocent people, will you throw a switch to divert the train to a track where just one person is standing? Or, given the same dangerous runaway trolley, will you throw a large person off of a bridge in order to impede the trolley’s progress and save five lives?
Most of us would say “yes” to the first question and “no” to the second, even though there is the same “body count” involved.
morality is largely driven by emotions or is the result of environmental influences beyond our control. Instead, the authors argue, morality is dependent on conscious, deliberate processes like reflection, learning, and aspiration—and any model of moral development that discounts these is both flawed and disheartening. So yes there are some ethical action made by emotion alone.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Our feelings affect our mental state, impacting our will to live. According to World Health Organization (WHO), suicide is the third leading cause of death in 15-19-year-olds. This only means what we feel matters. We learn many things in life yet we don’t learn about how to become emotionally fit.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Conflicts between feelings and reason is likely to occur. Feelings interfere with our logical thinking. It is often emotional and rush, whereas the other is controlled and organized. Since it is done quickly, it is prone to error. It make us do things we later regret. And these can lead us to make choices that hurt our long-term goals. Hence, emotions make us irrational. Contrarily, reason rules our impulses and overrides our snap judgements. Thus, emotions often clashes with reasons and later on influencing ourselves in reaching our full potential.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Personally, I believe that our emotions can motivate us in doing an ethical action. Some negative emotions can encourage us to behave properly. For example, people often direct disgust to those who have acted unethically. Thus, influences other people not to behave the same way. Futhermore, positive emotions like gratitude and admirations prompt people to be compassionate and kind.
However, I don't think we can make an ethical decision, when we are caught in the middle of a moral dilemma, based on feelings alone- but it plays a major role in making important moral judgements. Emotions motivate us to act ethically and humanly. So, while our moral decisions are influenced most by our rational thinking and philosophy, our emotions, too, play a significant role in our ethical decision-making.

Man's feelings in connection to his survival skills matters. The eagerness to survive and to surpass their current problem or difficulties. Things that pushes them to move, their motivation to make an action. Feelings matters because it helps you to make a decision too.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes there is a conflict. Because sometimes feelings and logical reasonings doesn't go with each other. The other one disagrees while the other one keeps on hoping. You cannot detach yourself from being rational because you need to reason out, you need to evaluate things around you or the things that are happening in your life. But also you cannot detach yourself too from our emotional aspect, because this might lead into trauma.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

When you make decisions just out of your emotions, that is where you are being irrational. Because you need to think, emotions sometimes leads you into unpleasant situations because you didn't analyze it very well, you just let your feelings be more superior than your logical thinking.

    - A man's feelings plays a significant role on how a man acts. People normally act based on how they feel towards a situation. A person's eagerness can be enough reason to be motivated to do something. In general, a person can feel all positive emotions, like joy and love, but when a person is at danger, his/her survival mode, which enables all the negative or distressing feelings of a person, such as distraught and fear.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - Yes, a person acts and behaves based on his/her emotions that affects his/her own reasoning. A sudden change of emotion will cause someone to think irrationally that will result into instinctive decision making. Therefore, a person should always think first before doing any drastic choices based on his/her emotion, if not, it might result into something a person will regret in the end. Not all impulsive decisions comes up to something that a person will never regret.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - Probably. In some situations, ethical action can be made based on feelings alone. Some situations requires immediate action that a person feelings is the only one that can rely on. Not all choices are can be seen as right or wrong, it is based on someone's belief of what is morally right and wrong. Though in general, ethical action requires rational thinking. Ethical judgments are often highly emotional, when people express their strong support or objection of various things.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Human feelings drives a person to do things in a way that negative emotions turns into positive results like manifesting survival skills. All negative emotions or distressing emotions such as disgust, anxiety, panic, uneasiness, especially fear can result to a thought of necessity of having or exhibiting one’s survival skills. Because these emotions send a signal to our body and brain that our well-being could be at risk and therefore our body would react as it is natural for humans to act according to its environment.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Most of the time, emotions and reason would have a conflict in reaching one's own potential. Because they are two different factors that influence someone’s decisions in life. Like for an instance in the Korean drama, Start-up, the main character, Nam Do San is an excellent programmer that a very well-known company wants to hire him and his two friends who are also programmers. But in order to achieve that dream, he must leave his girlfriend, Seo Dal Mi in South Korea and that makes him torn in choosing between achieving his dream but leaving the love of his life and staying for what he already achieved but he don’t need to leave his girlfriend. This situation is an example of conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential because Nam Do San’s emotion hinders him to reach his real potential on enhancing his skills.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

In my point of view, ethical action should not be made on feelings alone but it can happen sometimes especially when we express empathy in accordance to a given situation. But we still must consider the facts that lie between the situations a person is in. Because most of our moral decisions are influenced by our philosophy or religious values. In my way of thinking, I believe that our emotions play a significant role in our ethical decision-making.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
    - A man's feelings can dictate his survival skills. Man can act on something just because it is influenced by his emotions alone. One can say that emotions act as a catalyst on making his picks on things to do like survival. For example, the reason we've come so far in the world today is because of the curiousity that fueled our ancestors and also their will to survive and live all the challenges that existed before.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - I think there is. As we all know, there's also negative emotions that exists within us. Not all emotions that we feel or have are positive ones. Most negative emotions are very powerful and can affect how someone approaches things. When a person with a weak support system encounters a negative emotion, it can stop them from making the right decisions thus suppressing growth.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - Yes, it can be done. Feelings are very powerful and people and can influence a person to do something in order for that feeling to be prolonged or to be removed from their system. However, not all actions based from feelings can be right and in order for it to be seen as rightful for others, feelings should be paired with critical thinking to ensure that an ethical action has been executed.

An individual’s feelings/emotions plays a vital role in his/her survival skills. In terms of surviving we will experience a lot of decision making and decisions requires emotions and feelings. For instance, a person’s will to live depends on his/her feelings, some people with depression/anxiety feels weak because they don’t want to eat while some people with problems tend to abuse him/herself with alcohol, drugs, etc. Living, surviving and making decisions depends on our emotions and to the different things that we feel.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Conflict between emotions and reasons are always present in ourselves. Many people just follow their emotions without thinking if that thing is reasonable. For instance, some people are being unreasonable in their decisions when they are in love. Emotional overwhelm can affect a person’s ability to decide, think and act rationally and can possibly ruin his/her life. Emotion and reason are two important things in our decision making as long as we make sure that we balance both of it.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Ethical action can be made on feelings/emotions alone. This can be seen when a person loves another person. Here in our country, we are famous for the love for our family. Some instances shows the positive and negative effects of this love. 1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Man's feelings is a reminder of one's limits and vulnerability. In this way, man's feelings are incorporated to his survival skills. Together with the rational thinking, our feelings also play a crucial role in our decision making. For example, if we feel frightened or disgusted towards something, it can be our signal to take precautions and be careful. On the contrary, it can also trigger our sense of urgency and take on actions in order to survive. Though it might sometimes create conflict with our rational reasoning and hinder our actions, we experience this feelings as a reminder of our humanity and the things/actions our survival requires.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

There will always be a conflict between our emotions and reason. Again these feelings indicates our vulnerabilities, but there will be times in our lives that we will need to overcome some of these for the sake or reaching one's own potential. Of course there will be conflicts along the way and I think it is just normal. For one instance, I believe that we are allowed to have our reasons to attain our greatest potential, and have doubts and fear at the same time. The conflict lies on deciding which side would affect you more.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

It can be considered an ethical action if it prioritizes the worth and welfare of other people. Considering this, some ethical actions can be made with feelings alone. But in most cases ethical actions should be both rational and emotoinal.
Rational reasoning is needed for an ethical action to be done. Some ethical actions cannot be done fully subjective as it is based on standards/codes that require understanding and strict compliance regardless of one's own feelings. Our anger won't make a disrespectful response ethical. Our frustration won't make unprofessionalism ethical. Pity, guilt, or desperation for an urgent need won't make an illegal act ethical. We are need to use both feelings and rational reasoning to make an ethical decision or action.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Feelings provide great value to our survivability. In the biological context of feelings, positive feelings such as happiness, love, and peace all contribute in making ourselves healthy and functional. Negative feelings such as anxiety and fear are "survival emotions" since they signal our brain that something is wrong and our health is at risk. Both of them help us achieve homeostasis, or the state of internal balance in all aspects of our body. In the context of humans as social beings, our feelings suggest that we can make decisions that can motivate us to live our lives better and to form meaningful relationships.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Emotion and reason contradict with each other most of the time, especially when making decisions and thinking logically. From my understanding about the relationship of emotions and reason, our emotions can tip the scales when it comes to our decisions, causing biases to occur thus favoring one decision even if it is not the most optimal or reasonable choice or the most beneficial to all people involved. In addition, our emotions especially the more heavy ones make us impulsive in the face of making judgements and decisions. When these impulses occur, rationality is instantly erased from the picture.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

In most situations, ethical actions can be made solely based on feelings. Our emotions strengthen our motivations and our willpower to do what we know is ethical. There are ethical actions that we can perform immediately without the need of rational thinking and a long time to reflect on the consequences of our actions. However, when we are put between a hard place and a rock, feelings alone will not suffice in making an ethical action. In these ethical dilemmas, our beliefs and the way we think can contradict with our feelings. Since humans are emotional beings, our emotions are so powerful that they can enable us to make actions that we would not normally do. Feelings can become a catalyst for either ethical actions or for unethical actions that result in unpleasant consequences.

-The value of man’s feeling in connection to his survival skill is that it becomes a fuel that drives a man’s eagerness to survive. It helps in quick decision making but sometimes becomes destructive, not to you but the people around you. These types of decisions can make someone think that their life is above others which instead of helping the both of you to survive, you create a decision based on feelings that disregard the life of the other.
    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
-Yes, emotions do get in the way of reason. In reaching someone’s potential, emotions can be a nuisance for instead of surpassing your limit and achieving a new level of potential for yourself, your confidence will get down to none for someone begins to belittle and discourage you into achieving said potentials. Wherein if you just focus to reason without even giving a care to what other’s are saying you might get what you want in a steady pace.
    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
-In my opinion no, there is no telling what one might exactly feel in different situations. It can make you feel mad that can disrupt the idea of making an ethical action. With that being said feelings can be unreliable for it is never constant. Feelings change base on the factors that surrounds us.

It drives us to strive to survive, once we feel that we are in danger, our mind will go fight or flight situation, our body will feel the threat, wherein it always favors the flight in order to survive.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Yes, there is conflict between the two in reaching one's potential. The reason is the one who is responsible for the mind to think, understand, and form judgments by a process of logic. We make decisions base on our reason, but sometimes, we are carried by our emotions, the natural instinctive state of mind coming from mood, circumstances, or relationships with others. Thus, instead of taking action base on your reason, we weigh things on where we will feel safer.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
Yes, ethical action can be made on feelings alone. We act according to what we are feeling, we become compassionate and give empathy base on what we feel. Our emotions has a great impact on our actions. It always favor the right thing to do rather the wrong things.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

The value of man's feelings is well connected to his survival skills for the reason that it affects his behavior and perception in life. Our feelings provoke us to immediately make actions for us to enhance our success and survival in life. In addition, these feelings can greatly influence what decisions we create in daily basis. With those feelings, we manage to learn how to acquire things that we need and want. An example is when we are being chased by a dog, we run as fast as we can to get away from danger.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Reason is the ability to grasp reality through senses while Emotion is a response to an object/ a proposition reflected by the perceiver. Therefore, these two are somehow interconnected with one another but there are times that there will be a conflict may occur. Reason is one of the major contributors on what decisions we must develop but then emotions might intervene and decisions may change. With that being said, reason and emotion may contradict with each other.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

At a very young age, children are taught good manners and right conduct. Thus, people are expecting that as they grow old, these teachings will be part of their personality. It will be innate to them to act according to what is right and wrong due to it is what they practice in childhood. Therefore, every action is accompanied by our emotions because one of the factors of decision making is what we feel at the moment.

    - Emotion can play an important role in how humans think and behave. The role of emotions in our lives is it motivates us to take actions based on what we feel. 1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
    - A man’s feelings greatly affect his survival skills by having the urge and the need to survive. Surviving is one of our basic nature as living beings. If we feel a great desire to live, we develop skills. We tend to think how could we survive and live as long. And with the skills that we have, we can feel our need to improve to being able to survive more effectively.
    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - Emotions and reason are different from one another making it possible to have conflict with one another. Sometimes our emotions could hinder us to reason properly because of factors that affects us personally. Example scenario is when you see a thief stealing bread at a market, the reason why he stole the bread was to feed his malnourished children because he got fired from his work and can’t find a job in the middle of a pandemic, would you arrest him or not? Some might say they won’t arrest the man because they sympathize for the man and some would arrest him because what he did was against the law. Conflict of emotion and reason causes moral dilemma which challenges ourselves hindering the true potential of a person.
    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - No, because I believe that feelings is a weak foundation in acting ethically. An ethical action is made by knowing what must be the right thing to act upon, it considers our moral belief, of what is right an acceptable. Sometimes our feelings could be affected depending on the situation that could confuse or even trouble us to acting ethically because it might feel that we would be acting against our will.

We can say that these two factors play vital roles together at a time that affect our decisions in life, also to consider all aspects in a certain situation.
    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
→ Feelings do play a big role in doing an ethical action that leads us to do moral actions such as acknowledging, empathizing, and sympathizing to other people. Although there are still lot of situations wherein feelings alone cannot be reliable enough to have ethical action and worse can result to negative scenarios. Our feelings majorly affect our actions but it is not a guarantee that feelings-based actions are purely ethical or unethical.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - in my opinion, being ethical should not consider the emotions you have, regardless of the situation may be because a person following his or her feelings may recoil from doing what is right. Our feelings help us to take action and think in every situation. Feelings assist our will to live and survived. Also, the feeling of being happy motivates a person to live a healthy lifestyle and positive. The more our feelings and thinking are positive, the more we learned and adopt new skills to survive. Being sad or lonely is the opposite effect of being happy. So the more negative feelings you have, the harder you decide to make the right decision.

Yes, because emotions affect the will or the actions of a person. One of the best examples of it is being broken-heartened which influencing their actions and behavior. Based on our history, our ancestors did everything to explore, discover and survive to live. They build houses, equipments, found foods to eat and many more. Basically, the emotions of the man are very related to the ability of survival and what people feel they can act.

However, if a person feel something tense or emotional, there will be a conflict between the two. Therefore, a person gives reason and imbalance his/her emotions.

Man's feelings has greatly impact in daily lives. There are times that we tend to decide based on our feelings or emotions and not based on our rationality. If man has been occupied by his feelings or emotions, most of the time, it greatly affects the rationality and coginitive.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes, technically, when we are reasoning, we man most of the time tend to use our emotion to decide in a situation and that is actually wrong. Reason is defined as thinking logical, rational, explanation and justification for an event. Where reason is based not on emotions but facts. This greatly affects one's potential to think logically not emotionally.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

No, it is because if we rely only to our feelings then we are not thinking ethically. Feelings and emotions are likely a hindrance to a man to think critically and decide ethically. Feelings and emotions are tricky mostly when we are destined to decide in a situation.

      - The value of man’s feeling is important because this will serve us our goal or intention to a certain situation. For me it will serve as our instinct most of the instinct is accurately for example you walk on the streets that’s so very dark and your instinct says that don’t go there because there will be crime or dangerous when you walk alone even if it’s there’s light in the post. So the instinct that you feel is might be true or not but most of the time in my case I will follow to my instincts because when I use or feel it, it is mostly true. Proven and Tested.
      2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
      - Yes there’s conflict when you hold back something that you can’t free or let it go example for me is when I’m grade school level I love to dance and dancing is my hobby since back then, then there’s a opportunity that come to me like there’s a friend that want to invite to come to there dance class but in my case I let my emotions go through and I think that if I join them there will be a times that they make fun of me of how I present my dance piece, so in reality I don’t accept his offer because I let my emotions first than the opportunity gave me.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
Well, it is difficult to envision existence without feelings. We treasure our sentiments, the joy of the hint of a friend or family member, or fun moments with companions. Be that as it may, even negative feelings are significant. feelings can assume a significant part of the way we think and act. The feelings we feel every day can propel us to make a move and impact the choices we make about our lives.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Actually yes, reason and feeling are frequently expected to be at chances with one another. It can get oneself disturbed which is just the overstated adjustment of the temperament with negative contemplations that influence all the body that shows the conflict between reason and feeling. Feelings or emotions are fundamental in life since they help us to choose for the better of our life.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
Truly for sure, moral activity, notwithstanding discerning reasoning, impacts the manner in which we settle on good decisions and choices. At the point when you make the best decision, it isn't the result of the demonstration that is the proportion of its profound quality, yet rather your goal. Moreover, upbeat sentiments make good thoughts come into mind which thusly greatly affect the choices that are made in our lives and the purpose of the emotions.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Yes there is a conflict, Normal feelings of anger, fear, hurt and frustration are typically present in conflicts between individuals or groups. These feelings, and the circumstances of the threat presented by the conflict, cause our bodies to react in the "fight or flight" stress response.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
Emotions, in addition to rational thinking, influences the way we make moral judgment and decisions. Anxiety and empathy (and being sober) tend to make us less willing to sacrifice one to save many. Disgust and anger make us harsher judges and punishers of moral wrong-doing.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

The man’s feelings have an important connection to his survival skills because it will serve as the motivation and eagerness of a man to survive. The man’s feelings motivate us to strive harder to live. For example, if we feel that we are in danger we will quickly call for help or we will run away from that danger. For me, our feelings are like the intuition or instinct of a man to act and to behave in a certain situation.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes, there is a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one’s own potential. Because for me emotions are feelings or reactions to a situation. And reasons are your justification or explanations of your action. It was a battle of heart and mind because when we are facing a situation with strong emotion sometimes we act or decide recklessly that we do not think if it is the right thing to do. The conflict between emotions and reason is that sometimes our emotions don’t fit on what is the right thing to do. So in making a decision we have to balance our emotions so we can think properly and we can make a suitable decision.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

No, because when you let your feelings decide for your action, you cannot decide or think ethically. For example, when you are angry you should not decide right away because you might hurt someone. Since you are blinded by your strong emotions, you cannot think clearly and you may or can make the wrong decision if you let your feeling decide for your action. In making a decision we should have equal weight of emotions and reasons to make an ethical action or decision.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

I think it values more than we think because, like feelings connected to survival skills it is like consciousness that is always connected to what we are doing, the value of man’s feelings towards survival skills is more likely high and a major contribution to ones reasons for such skills because, when a person has something to protect and endear in life he/she becomes a very responsible person that leads to his/her own success because of the feelings he/she had, thus proceeds to nurturing of his/her skills and gain and develop things that will help him/her to survive in order to fully preserve and appreciate the ones we value.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

There is always a conflict towards emotion and reason, like love, for example there is a relationship and the relationship is obviously toxic, and the reason was there to end the relation but owns emotions and feelings comes along and prevents you to break up because the relationship is toxic but you still love the person who you are with, but what I just really want to say is that emotions do conflict with reason and the only way to pick the right choice is to find the right solution, even in cases of a moral dilemma even two things are both good there will always have to be a choice to be made and the one option that weighted more value to you or the society will prevail.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

No, because there are any other factors to consider in accordance with our actions and usually an ethical action is made when you are out in the open where many people can see you and judge you as a very good man, but I do believe that feelings is a great purpose to one’s ethical action, because many people in the world would not like to do things that they are not really comfortable doing especially when it can only cause disturbance to the peace and order of the society, so I can say that feelings is a major cause for one’s ethical action but not as a reason alone.

    - Feeling or emotions helps us to understand on what are the responds based on our situation or in any circumstances. For example, when you are happy, it means something good happened or you were been accepted by a job or received a reward. If you are sad or disappointed, something happened that you are not expecting like you failed the test or hoping something that you want but it didn't give it to you. It reflects the survival skills by knowing what your situation is. In order to reach my own potential I must acknowledge and separate some of my emotions to know more about my potential if I can be a great and responsible person that can motivate others in our society.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - In my opinion,Feelings and emotions can affect our decision example of that anger can lead to impatience, and rash our ethical action, while if you feel afraid, your decisions might take you longer to choose. In fact feelings has a negative and positive effect in our ethical action. Sometimes our feelings lead us to become honest, to be fair and understanding on our ethical action in our society in short we must be careful in our decisions and must manage our feelings in every situation.

So, this is the one of the reasons we can’t reach our potential.

The value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills is that the feelings is the one that urges a person to do such actions in order to survive. Moreover, these feelings would help the survival skill of a person to be enhanced. Example of this is the hunting skill of a person. Every person would normally feel starvation. Thus, the starvation will urge the person to hunt more and more and this skill would soon be enhanced.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

In my point of view, there is no conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential. Emotions and reason is complimentary to each other. When we feel an emotion, there would always be a justifiable reason behind it. We rely on our reasons to guard our feelings that may reflect an immoral act. On the other hand, we rely on feelings to make sure that in every action we do is humane and morally right. Therefore, these two elements are hand in hand in reaching one's own potential.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

An ethical action cannot be made on feelings alone. There are other feelings that may moved a person to do such immoral act. And so, we need justifiable reason to support feelings that would result to an ethical action.

It is your most important resource in an endurance circumstance. It isn't generally the genuinely solid who are the best or better at dealing with dread in crisis circumstances. Endurance all the more regularly relies upon the person's responses to stretch than upon the threat, landscape, or nature of the crisis. To adjust is to live. Mental aptitudes are substantially more significant than actual abilities in endurance circumstances. An individual's mental responses to the pressure of endurance can frequently make them unfit to use their accessible assets.

External coordinated negative feelings, then again, mean to train or rebuff. For instance, individuals frequently direct annoyance, disturb, or hatred at the individuals who have acted unscrupulously.

But when a man expresses or uses his or her emotions, regardless what's the outcome of it, motivate a man to act rapidly and take ventures that will maximize his or her chances of survival. Feelings controlled us to be able to live and survive. On the other hand, feelings may also be not on the side of survival and may triggers man's safety. And with that, it is a man's responsibility to be wise and use his or her feelings with survival as his or her top priority.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

It is nature in human to have emotions or feelings, it can be either positive or negative, or the combination of two. There's always reason for everything that we do and it is also by nature to us, everything that we decide always follow by a reason, and with emotions, it may change. As I mentioned, emotions are impactful to us even a logical reason which is indeed the right one to act, can affect and change the decisions. Emotion-based decision can be seen in two opposite views, the good and bad based on what will be the outcome of the decisioning. And with that, it is trully have a conflict between emotions and reason.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes, I think ethical action can be made on feeling itself but not all the time. Emotions or feelings have its important role in making ethical decisions which lead us to moral choices but the outcome of this can be either good or bad, and that is why emotions can be either made on feelings alone that will have a positive result but the bad things is that, it can lead also to negative outcome.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - Man's feeling is one of the most important thing in human, or in our lives. Without feelings, how do we express ourselves? How do we survive without any feelings in our body? So for me, man's feeling is connected to his survival skills because we are able to express ever feelings that we have and and that is the way how we survive. Feeling and expressing our feeling and doing a certain action to survive.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

-Yes, because sometimes when we are deciding or choosing things what we need and what we want, we need to consider the reasons and because of that, it will create an impact in our emotions.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

-Ethical action cannot be made on feelings alone. Why? because sometimes, we made decisions because we are angry but then we will realize that the action we did is not good and can harm either yourself or other people.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
The feeling of a person can greatly affect his/her survival skill. If we feel that we want to survive it can help us to think more critically and logically to help us in surviving. A feeling of a person can motivate us or discourage us because we, people relies mostly on our emotions.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Yes. There are conflicting between our emotions and reason in reaching one’s own potential because they contradict each other. Sometimes our emotion dominate our minds, it depends upon the person if he/she is emotionally-based on making a decision. And some people do decide more based on the reasoning so they somehow people with no emotion in decision-making or like more critical decision.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
No. Making an ethical decision needs to have a reason to be more ethical. Some people decide emotionally that is why the decision they made is bias. By having an intense emotion can make us more irrational in what we do. So it is hard to make an ethical action if we only use our feelings.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

The value of man's feeling in connection to his survival skills is that our own actions is driven by our emotions that help us to survive. It is like the feeling of the need to survive acts naturally together with our instincts. The feelings that we felt can affect us to take an action or may influence our decisions in life which one of these is to survive. Feeling the right emotion serves us to make an action that will help us to survive.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

There are times in our life where we are carried out by our own emotions and easily forget the reason or the main objectives on why we do things. And sometimes, we put aside our emotions just to stick to our decision. We can say that, by that circumstances maybe emotions and reasons may have a conflict in reaching one's own potential.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

I think that it can be but not all the time. For example, (this is theoretical) I have this one classmate who struggles a lot in a particular subject. During our exam, I lend my answer just because I pity him/her because they are affected by typhoons which is the reason why he/she can't review. Based on that situation, I acted out because of my feelings alone to help without any other intention but is it an ethical action? Sometimes, our actions driven out by our emotions is not ethical. But just like what I said, it can also be an ethical action if we act according to our emotions without violating the rules of ethics.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - With in nature of humans as social beings, our feelings suggest that we can take decisions that can enable us to live our lives accordingly and to establish positive relationships. Strong emotions like pleasure, affection, and peace all lead to making us stable and efficient in the physical sense of sentiments. survival emotions are negative feelings such as distress and terror, as they indicate to our brain that something is wrong and that our welfare is at risk. In all respects of our body, all of them help us acquire homeostasis, or the state of internal equilibrium.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - Emotion and reason, particularly when making decisions and thinking rationally, dispute each other much more of the time. Through my analysis of the correlation between emotions and reason, when it comes to our actions, our emotions might shift the balance, triggering biases to arise, hence preferring one action however it is not the most effective or rational decision or the most effective for all.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - Since we are human individuals, our feelings are so intense that they will trigger us to do action which we would not typically do. Emotions could become a motive whether it be for moral actions or for immoral actions that lead to negative consequences.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
Feelings is one of the most important to reconsider while making a decision. By making a decision, of course, we think what is the possible way or good way can help to what we happen right now to survive everyday and the reason why, for me, to survive everyday is to fulfill our pleasure to do whatever we want and not to regret what life given to person.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Emotion and reason is just like a heart and brain/mind that always have different deeds of what is really good consequences to us. Sometimes emotion is right and our thinking is not or vice versa.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
I don't it can. If we consider just a feelings only it could lead to mess or trouble even it is good or bad situation. Although, by making an action it is impossible to act without any feelings or emotion.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Every person's feelings may affect his/her survival skills, in every feeling and emotion of a person, it influence the survival skills and it may have a small or large part that can cause effects in every survival skills, also it may have a good or bad effect depends on what is the approach and what is the situation is. Every feeling is important and can have a huge part in every survival skill that may acquire by every person, for example, if a person used his feelings very well and in a good manner it can be reflected on how he/she survive in this world. We used our emotions in decision-making and in every problem we dealt with in this world we need to decide whether what will we do to survive every situation we face every day, in that, emotions guide us in our decision-making.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Somehow there is a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential, they maybe have different functions and dealing with our decision-making, but they both help us in how are we dealing with our own decision. Sometimes emotions dominate our decision, it happens when we are carried away by our emotions and when it happens the reason is left out or maybe forgotten, in this situation emotion and reason have a conflict in every person's potential. How about when they both affect our decision? in this situation the emotions we used are influenced by the reason, because of the reason we felt those emotions and it will lead us to our decision. An example of this situation is, a person condemning or feeling rage on the basis of reason.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

In dealing with ethical action, both thinking and feeling are required for being good. If we only use our emotions without thinking, it may affect our ethical decision so technically if we rush making a decision using only our emotion may not lead to ethical action. But there are instances that only emotion can lead us to ethical action, example of this is, our feelings provide important information for our ethical choices. And there are people who have highly developed habits that make them feel bad when they do something wrong, but many people feel good even though they are doing something wrong. And often our feelings will tell us it is uncomfortable to do the right thing if it is hard. So it depends on our experience and how are we dealing with our emotions.

    - Man's feeling does have a great value to his own survival skills, for it is one of the most important thing to consider upon making a decision especially if it requires a thorough understanding before reaching a conclusion. One's feelings like pleasure, anger, happiness and such makes a person feel one's life more survivable than living emotionless. For a reason that it gives us excitement and will to breathe and live everyday knowing what feelings we will experience in the future.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - Dealing with one's emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential might have a complication along the way. For one's emotions might be biased and change someone's judgement and decisions but his reason tells otherwise, and that's when complication happens. But dealing with emotion and reason thoroughly, giving them both a chance to share their thoughts, you might conclude something that is worth reaching one's potential for having balance decision of the two.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - One's feelings especially if its intense will or might be made a huge turn on making an ethical action because our mind is so hazy and all we think about is the feelings that cripples on our system. So the best thing to say is that never made an ethical action or decision made on feeling alone but be sure to think things thoroughly before concluding only basing on one's feelings alone.

Sometimes emotion is right and our thinking is not or vice versa.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
No. Settling on a moral choice requirements to have motivation to be more moral. A few people choose sincerely that is the reason the choice they made is inclination. 1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
In accordance of man's feelings it is widely portrayed that man are strong and prideful but in reality it varies. Mankind can always do things for the greater good but in terms of life or death situation only some can handle their own legs and not run away. For we value most of our lives. The deciding factor of a man's feelings in connection to his survival skills is great for most of us our drive by passion and will and so is our body. A little distain on our hope will be enough to crush this feeling alone though.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
-Not always that there is a conflict in emotions and reasons. The only way I could think of this is wanting to do something so desperate but your convictions or moral says no other wise will surely hinder what you can do. I believe that if we have trust our ownselves and the decisions we made, then we are in full potential. yet, if we have internal conflicts inside our own mentality then our focus and potential may vary on our very own convictions

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
-For me, yes. But not always. Just as discussed on the past lessons. our ethic will always vary per perspective and will not always be good on the eyes of others. But sometimes genuine feelings can save someone's life. for genuine feelings is like instinct that will make your body move for the sake of someone or something.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

If Emotion overpowers reason a man will act without considering the consequences, and it might hold back an individual's growth.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - No, because sometimes ethical action can be the best action there is. If a computer can be programmed to do the best move it will not consider if the best move was ethical or not, and it doesn't have any emotion or feelings to spoke of, therefore an ethical action can not be made on feelings alone.

    - For me, no, because when making decision or action, we should not only depend on feelings alone. We have to think whether it is good or bad. We have to think our actions' consequences and be responsible for our actions. Depending on feelings alone in making decision is an irresponsible action. It could case conflict and problems. The interconnection of one's feelings to his survival skills is that a person's sense of adaptability on things depends on how strong one views things in a certain perspective. For these feelings will serve as urge and motivation for a person to take action and on how far are you willing to go to survive. When the feeling of needing to survive is at its peak, one will do whatever it takes to secure something that can be used in the future.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - I would say that a man's feelings is probably one of the biggest influence to his skills regarding one's survival. Most often, a man does whatever his feelings urges him to do which can also relate to his survival. Like for example, if he feels hunger, he would then eat. And as we all know, eating is one of the primary factors of survival.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - Yes, there is. It is very common for us to have conflictions whether we should do something that may benefit our emotions but is against our rational thinking and vice versa. However, I could say that our emotions can greatly affect how we build our reasoning for ourselves. But then, we all know that sometimes, we do things that we think is the right thing to do (reasons) and at the same time, gives us a negative emotion.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - While this might be possible and feelings can be a good foundation for us to build our own ethical reasons, this kind of reasoning have its own downsides as well. We feel emotions on a whim, and ethical actions is something that should be thought about. From the phrase itself, it should be ethical. And people feel emotions that make them do unethical actions.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - In how we think and act, emotions can play a significant role. The feelings we experience every day will cause us to take an action and affect the decisions we make about our lives, may it be large or small. Our emotions are somewhat related to our survival skill because these emotions will give us the drive to find solutions to our own challenges and endure difficulties of life.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - Yes. There is a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential because people are influenced by their own emotion that can take hold of their decisions and behaviors in life. Instead of doing what should be done, we prefer to pursue what is on our mind. Good or bad thing will happen if we tend to let our emotions overpower our intelligence and vice versa.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - In my opinion, yes. As I've said earlier emotions affect the decisions we make everyday. The consequences of the emotions we felt don't mean it's unethical all the time. Sometimes our emotions can give us the drive to find solutions to our own challenges and endure difficulties of life.

  126. 1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - Feelings is something that one will get in almost every time. Happiness, sadness, tiredness and more. They play a role in how we act today, and is also a factor on how we live and do stuff everyday! A person's entire behaviour will almost run entirely on how a person feels: slow and cumbersome, fast and energetic, and more. From these feelings, are survival skills can be said to be connected to it, for our feelings will impact on how we will find a solution to this problem-- effective or not effective, fast or slow, it does affect our survival.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - Very much yes. This is very common conflict for us individuals. Emotion is a powerful factor; it will and it can influence other decision and behaviour an individual has for a long time. Sometimes a situation calls whenever one is happy or not in their scenario, and emotions dictate that a person should change but a side of reasoning it's much more practical to stay or vice-versa.
It doesn't mean both are good or bad, but it does show conflict.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - Yes, and in fact, it happens in a daily basis to various individuals. As discussed in previous lectures and reflection papers, emotion is a strong factor, which is given birth from a person's feelings. However, despite being a whim when an action is indeed decided from feelings alone, it doesn't always mean it's the wrong choice generally. It can be one of the key factors of finding solutions and figuring our problems that sometimes logical thinking wouldn't fix so easily. A balance of both is great to have.

The essence of man's feeling or sense in his survival skills is that it serves as his instincts. If a man feels cold or hot, he will seek shelter, same goes when he feels hungry or thirsty, unhappy or in pain, these feelings urges man to respond to its environment to fulfill what lacks in what he feels mainly for thriving.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes, there is a conflict between the two. Some people lack emotional quotient or logical/intelligence quotient. Neither of the two should overpower or overweigh our judgments. We have to balance the basis of using our emotions and reasons in decision-making.

-For me the man’s feelings have a big factor in connection to the survival skills because base on what I`ve learn when I was senior high school, the life of humans back in pre historic period if I’m not wrong is what we call survival of the fittest which means that they need to adopt to their environment for them to live and last long. And that eagerness to survive and to live more is the reason why they nurture and evolve as times go by. And also that’s the reason why they are able to build some things or technology that help them to survive.
    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - “don’t promise when you are happy, don’t reply when you are angry, and don’t decide affect many aspect in our self like on how we solve problem, think, decide, or in other term it can affect our logical thinking. Showing that the one that have a bad mood, sad, angry and other negative mood are the one that have the lowest performance in the test they take, while the one that currently in a good mood excel on the same test. It means that our emotion can affect our thinking and reasoning
    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
-For me it can’t be, because like on what I said about emotions and reasons. Emotion can override the reasoning of one person and in result to that, he/she may do an inappropriate action. Ethical action can be define as an action with a valid reason and having a valid reason must consider the feelings and the logical thinking of a person, if feelings will be dominant like what o have said earlier, it will result to wrong action.

In the middle of distress, a human may act hostile or think and act only for himself, disregarding anything and anyone around. It is a built in response to danger in our mind and body to keep us alive. On the other hand, feelings such as anxiety, stress, and depression dulls our senses and our ability to react to stimulus. Thus, feelings itself also greatly affects our survival skills.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

During some cases, emotions can truly cloud our judgements making us decide poorly on making decisions. But biologically speaking, reason always comes first as it should since it is produced in the mind while emotion in the other hand is produced in heart.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

Yes, aside from it can cloud our judgement, it can also show us a perspective unconventional to the decision without consideration for the feelings.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
    - Well, I believe that emotions is what drives humans to survive. Naturally when humans experience fear and pain, it gives them knowledge on how to perform better on a daily basis. Emotions either motivates or demotivate an individual which affects one's survival skills.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - Yes, to fully master one of each is to sacrifice the other ; so to achieve perfect reasoning is to deplete emotions itself and vice versa. While the potential of growth is also dependent on how those two things developed. Since you will not perceive some things when you do not harness the capabilities to understand them.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - Yes, since feelings affect how one makes a decision which leads on how people act. People also do ethical actions depend on what they felt before. So if they had histories of shame or guilt they do ethical actions to respond to such situations. Do note that not all ethical actions are made by feeling alone

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - According to Charles Darwin, feelings is the adaptation of humans and animals to survive. It has a big role in our survival by motivating us to take action. For example, if you see a dog running towards your direction, you'll feel fear. You'll be in a 'fight or flight' zone. If fear dominates you, you'll probably run and will entice the natural hunting instincts of the dog which will do you no good. Otherwise, staying still will not make the dog feel threatened by you.

There are also other psychological aspects of feelings that can affect a human's will to live. This depends on his or her free will.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - Brain is known as the most complexed structure in the universe. There are emotions which are automatically felt without much cognitive processing such as fear and surprise, while some are self-conscious such as pride and guilt. These emotions can be a hindrance to a person's decision-making. An example is fear. For when we feel fear, there are many things we cannot do or rather choose not to do. Our reasons may vary on the person's emotions or another person's if validated by the first person.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - No. There are a number of basis to determine whether an action is ethical. It should be based on duty, and the doer and receiver's perspective must be considered. There are times that a person may do something fully based on their feelings. It can be because of anger or as what people call "Nagdilim ang paningin", but those actions are not considered as ethical actions.

    1. What is the value of man's feeling in connection to his survival skills?
A man can survive simply by getting his basic needs. But psychological reasoning explains that emotions/feelings is one of the reasons that increases our chances of survival. Emotions help us get experience and motivation which are needed in living our life. When we feel love, anger, fear, pain, sadness, joy, etc. another reason is added to our minds which would motivate us to survive in this world.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Definitely yes. Emotions and reasons harmonizes in relation to one's principles and decisions, however, they mostly contradict each other which could put a person in a state of dilemma. Decisions can be made because of emotions or feelings the person felt. Rash decisions were often made because of emotional stress felt by a person. In contrast, a rational person is someone who is sensible and is able to make decisions based on intelligent thinking rather than on emotion. The person does things based on logic and opposed impulsive decisions.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
No. Making ethical actions may seem to be greatly influenced by a person's feelings or emotions. Doing ethical action based on feelings alone might be considered biased or based on sympathy and empathy. Although ethical actions cannot be made on feelings alone, it is however made with the combination of rationality or reasoning and emotions or feelings. With these two, a person should be able to do the best decision depending on the situation given.

People should balance their emotions so that it will not be a hindrance when it comes to reasoning.

    - A man’s feeling takes a vital role on how we think and act in a certain situation. Our feelings or emotions change everyday and it affects our decision that leads to an action based on our feelings. Part of man’s survival skills is decision-making. In order to survive, man should critically scrutinize every situation to produce an ethical decision. 2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - Yes, there’s a conflict between emotions and reasons in reaching one’s goal. One of the factors that affects reaching goals is our emotions. if a person let his/her emotions take an action without a proper understanding to a certain situation, it may lead to an unreasonable thinking. Letting our reasons or logical thinking interfere by our feelings will result to an inevitable wrong decision that makes a difficulty in reaching one’s goal.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - Feelings evolved in people to make us aware to everyday threats to our survival. We continually examine our current circumstance for dangers and opportunities, to fulfill our most fundamental necessities. We get a steady body-mind report about the condition of the world through our feelings. They give us a quick assessment about whether something is beneficial for us or awful for us and they persuade us to make an action accordingly.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - I think there's a conflict between emotion and reason. Because emotions can affect not just the nature of the decision, but the speed at which you make it. Anger can prompt eagerness and impulsive decision-making. In case you're excited, you may settle on quick choices without thinking about the suggestions, as you surf the rush of certainty and confidence about what's to come. While if you feel afraid, your choices might be blurred by uncertainty and caution, and it may take you longer to choose.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - No, because making an ethical action includes feelings and logic. since they have a role to play in helping us make good choices. On the off chance that we comprehend where our feelings come from and begin to see how they influence our reasoning and behavior, we can work on dealing with our response and figure out how to settle on better decisions.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

    - Your survival skills automatically gets activated according with the situation we face, and it depends to that on how you should react or do something to survive in that particular situation. So the value of man's feelings is very significant and the major thing that drives us in making actions and for our survival skills.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

    - There is always a conflict in reaching one's own potential especially when you have so much to consider. Like for example, you wanted to be a doctor for your parents' sake, you didn't want to disappoint them, and that's your only reason to continue medicine, but personally, and you know it in yourself that arts is what you really want to pursue. But since your parents want you to become a doctor, you continue medicine and set aside arts.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

    - Considering the word "ethical", it talks about being logical, rational, and goes along the rules or standards for right conducts and practices. Our feelings tend to be irrational and unreasonable at times that invalidates the essence of ethics, so ethical actions, by the word itself, cannot be made with feelings alone.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
The feelings or emotions helps us to survive. We activate our instinct of survival. For example, if you feel angry, you find what things you get irritated and fixed that things. When you feel fear, your mind start to think how to overcome it and survive from it in any situation. and when you feel love you find someone for reproduction. We all have a instinct on how to react in a certain condition that we feel harm or in danger to overcome it.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
Yes, because sometimes there is a thing that people cannot do. For example, you want to finish your study but you are a lazy person. You always need an effort for the things you do. You also consider what you feel on that thing. Like if that things is what you really want to pursue for you to be able to achieve a goal or that potential you want to achieve.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
In ethical manner, sometimes you need to consider other. what other will think to the you do. You must consider if that things will not affect others or it will harm them. You can also learn what is right or wrong in your community and daily life.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
    - Man has emotions associated with his survival skills. Many people today experience depression, anxiety and so on. Many people also commit suicide because they can no longer handle this problem they are experiencing. But there are people who because they feel they are still strong, that with every trial they go through they do not despair. In human emotions or feelings you can see how stable they are in their lives.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - People have their own potential. There are many people who can do things that they can do well good or bad. They may have done those things because of the emotion they wanted or there was a reason why they did it. For example, there is a father and son. The father wants his son to be a doctor to treat his youngest brother but the son wants to be a musician. The father told the son that he would not study it if he did not take a doctorate course. But in the end, the father's wishes for the child were obeyed. Let's focus on the child, he chose to be a doctor in the sense that he wants to heal his brother that even his wishes will not be fulfilled.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - Yes, because no one will do things without feeling bad for them. We choose or do things according to how we feel. We can do something that is not against our will. Because what we choose is what we get, and the choice includes the feelings of the individual.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?

Man's survival skills are depend on what level of danger they are up against. When man is threatened, man may feel anger, or fear, and adrenaline kicks in; and so do their survival instincts. This is a survival reflex that kicks in, the emotion we feel differs from person to person. Emotions are essential to man's survival because it helps man adjust and know what and how to feel about a situation.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

I believe that conflict exists between emotions and reasoning, and it makes sense as to why is exists. Sometimes what you feel is right may not be the right thing to do. This conflict hinders human potential making them have muddy thinking and therefore making choices and decisions difficult for them. Emotions help in some situations, but could also be a hindrance to some. To really reach one's potential, one must find a way to find the balance between emotion and reasoning.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

If we're just taking the word 'ethical' at face value, I don't think its possible to make an ethical decision or action based on feelings alone. Emotions tend to make people unreasonable and on occasion make people experience tunnel vision. With that in mind, making an ethical action based off of feelings alone just doesn't seem too logical.

    1. What is the value of man's feelings in connection to his survival skills?
    - Man's feelings makes the man more likely to be invulnerable when unwanted situations come. For instance, when feeling unsecured, distress may lead the man's action to do all what he can do to protect himself. In addition, when a man feels exhausted or demotivated in whatever he is doing, he finds a way just to go back to his track again in achieving his goal.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?
    - Yes there is. People have different levels of susceptibility of their emotions and the level of their reasoning. If a person's emotions is highly susceptible to negative factors, it may cause the person to doubt whatever he/she can do and may eventually affect his/her reasoning which could lead to hinder the person in reaching his/her own potential .

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?
    - I think ethical actions can be made on both feelings and reasoning. The fact that people must know how to differentiate what morally right is from morally wrong, it is the factor that reasoning should be involved first. Ethical actions can be made on reasoning alone but not on feelings alone.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Ethical actions shouldn't always be based off of reasoning and facts alone. And when say that whenever we make a decision in life and it involves ethical and life-changing situations, feelings should never be a factor in any of your thoughts, but I think that the courage and conviction in making a life-changing decision that's factored with our feelings is what makes us human after all.

In the survival skills of a man, feelings can be critical. Particularly when it comes to life and death, feelings can impact the choice of a man.

    2. Is there a conflict between emotions and reason in reaching one's own potential?

Yes, as passion comes into action, there is tension in one's thinking. Emotions will also trouble one's thoughts, impacting one's rationale for the subject matter. Many times, when a person is suffering from anger, depression, confusion, and several other feelings, a person can't align his thoughts clearly. Therefore the way he does his logic varies and finally stops one from achieving his ability.

    3. Can an ethical action be made on feelings alone?

It depends on the situation, and often ethical behavior can be focused on what our emotions hold. Feelings alone can be optimistic and destructive, actions through a thought process must be conducted so that we can stop being toxic to others and eventually regret.

-our ability to successfully interact with other people is so important to our survival, these skills have become part of human nature. We determine whether to help in large part on the basis of how other people make us feel, and how we think we will feel if we help or do not help them.
    2.
-Emotion has a substantial influence on the cognitive processes in humans.it has a particularly strong influence on attention, especially modulating the selectivity of attention as well as motivating action and behavior. This attentional and executive control is intimately linked to learning processes, as intrinsically limited attentional capacities are better focused on relevant information. However, Emotions can affect our decisions because it based on what we feel, but not what we think or what we know is right. But , we became more reasonable if we use our emotions. So there's a conflict between the two in reaching one's potential.

It's possible that someone would feel think about others strongly, which would influence their survival skills to incorporate if the people they care about would benefit. The same goes when someone has no feelings about anything else but themselves, they would choose to make survival actions that would only benefit themselves.
